The Application Specialist is responsible for to be a key expert in ensuring our customers and internal teams are fully proficient with our discipline-specific instruments. We are looking for someone who can combine deep technical knowledge with exceptional training and support skills, travelling extensively to meet our local and global customer needs. This position reports to the Supervisor Field Applications \& Technical Support and is part of the Service Department in Field Applications located in Kwa-Zulu Natal and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Design and develop comprehensive product-specific training programs for various discipline-specific instruments. Deliver high-quality technical and customer training to both internal staff and external customers. Provide customer training on the application of new and existing product technologies. Offer expert application support and troubleshooting to customers and field service engineers. Manage daily administrative tasks and generate detailed reports. Organize and conduct customer workshops, actively assisting sales and marketing teams at conferences and other events. Oversee the management of training rooms and instruments, ensuring readiness and functionality. Maintain and update training materials, demonstrating excellent facilitation skills during delivery. The essential requirements of the job include: A qualified Medical Technologist with at least 5 years of proven track record or experience in a laboratory or clinical setting. A N. Dip Medical Technology, B.Sc Biomedical, B. Med Sciences, or an equivalent qualification. Demonstrated experience in relevant medical or scientific discipline. "Train the Trainer" or an equivalent certification in adult education. Experience in laboratory management and student training. Proven experience across the full training cycle, including needs analysis, curriculum design, training delivery, and evaluation. Specific and proven experience with Beckman Coulter analyzers is highly preferred. A strong understanding of relevant discipline principles. Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills. High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with relevant software. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Led by Dr. Raoul Goldberg—a Medical Doctor, Transpersonal Psychologist (PhD), trained homeopath, and Waldorf school physician—our practice draws from multiple healing traditions including Western and European medicine, anthroposophical approaches, and homeopathy. Dr. Goldberg trained with pupils of Rudolf Steiner in Swiss medical clinics. We use botanical medicines and integrative remedies as our frontline treatment. We grow many remedies in our gardens and prepare botanical medicines in our licensed dispensary. Our practice is in a beautiful wood building filled with natural daylight. We are intentionally slow-paced, fragrance-free, and committed to whole-system care. We provide cotton uniforms and honor the wellbeing of everyone who works here. We serve a wide spectrum—from young children to those with chronic illness, advanced cancer, and end-of-life care. Our patient population includes VIPs and international patients. We operate with a "yes we can" philosophy—finding ways to accommodate patient needs with grace. This work requires clinical excellence and profound emotional maturity. Our previous nurse left due to anxiety around dying patients—we need someone who understands that being with people as they face mortality is sacred work, not something to fear. The Role We seek a Senior Integrative Nurse Administrator to be Dr. Goldberg's right hand—moving seamlessly between clinical excellence and medical administration. This role takes significant burden off our Practice Manager, Serena, by handling medical coordination and clinical support. You'll work mornings during intensive patient care, with afternoons for medical administration. Working alongside Dr. Goldberg—a master teacher with decades of expertise—you'll receive ongoing mentorship in integrative medicine.
