Terms of Service

Welcome to Jobfu. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Jobfu platform at jobfu.app (“Service”), operated by Jobfu (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

Jobfu is an AI-native job search operating system that helps you manage job applications, generate tailored resumes and cover letters, track your application pipeline, discover job listings, and organize your job search through an intelligent chat interface.

2. Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate resumes, cover letters, job suggestions, and other content. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed and edited by you before use.
  • We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, free of errors, or suitable for any particular purpose.
  • You are solely responsible for any content you submit to employers or third parties, including AI-generated content.
  • AI suggestions (e.g. job matches, follow-up recommendations) are informational and do not constitute career advice.
  • AI outputs may occasionally contain errors, hallucinations, or inappropriate content.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to the Service or to employers through the Service.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or workspace without authorization.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond normal use.
  • Overload or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
  • Use the AI assistant to generate harmful, discriminatory, or illegal content.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including resumes, cover letters, notes, and other documents. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you.

5.2 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by the AI assistant based on your input belongs to you. You may use it freely, including for commercial purposes such as job applications.

5.3 Our Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and AI models, is owned by Jobfu and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

6. Payment Terms

Jobfu offers Free, Pro, and Team subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are processed through Lemon Squeezy.

  • Free tier — limited features at no cost.
  • Pro tier — expanded features for a monthly or annual subscription fee.
  • Team tier — collaboration features for teams, billed per seat.

Prices are displayed in your account settings and may change with 30 days' notice. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described therein.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss arising from Service downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or employment opportunities.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
  • We are not responsible for the actions of employers, recruiters, or any third parties you interact with through or as a result of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Jobfu harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

  • By you — you may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • By us — we may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. In cases of severe or repeated violations, we may terminate without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. Limitation of Liability, Indemnification) will continue to apply.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through the courts of competent jurisdiction in the EU. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
