In this role, you’ll be the face of Faircape Health — building relationships with medical professionals, assessing patients for admission, and showcasing our diverse care offerings including subacute, respite, oncology, long-term, and palliative care. Duties include but is not limited to the following: Conduct comprehensive pre-admission screenings of all patients while in hospital to assess clinical suitability for admission to the facility. Evaluate the patient's general health and wellbeing, while clearly explaining the admissions and medical aid authorisation process to both patients and their families. Following each assessment, communicate findings and next steps to the relevant internal teams to facilitate a seamless admission process. Liaise daily with the MDT to confirm bed availability and the range of services required. Oversee and manage the full authorisation process, ensuring all approvals are obtained timeously and accurately. Accurately document and communicate any special patient requests on the internal system, including transfer preferences, dietary needs, or isolation protocols. Maintain a strong understanding of the referral pathway, and remain up to date on the status of authorisations and supporting documentation. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure all outreach efforts are aligned with shared goals and brand strategy. Develop and maintain a comprehensive marketing plan, outlining clear targets, strategies, and expected outcomes. Build and maintain strong relationships with specialists and physicians to drive continuous referrals and occupancy growth. Respond promptly to daily enquiries from the website and social media platforms, ensuring accurate and empathetic communication. Represent the Faircape Health brand at talks, promotions, and community events, actively contributing to brand awareness and trust Requirements: Qualifications: Qualified as a Registered Nurse and registered with SANC Tertiary qualification in the fields of marketing /medical /administration advantageous Experience: Proven experience in a similar role would be advantageous Previous marketing, administration and case management experience would be an advantageous Skills and Knowledge Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey the benefits of healthcare facilities and care options to potential patients and their families. Strong interpersonal abilities to build rapport with patients, families, specialists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, fostering trust and collaboration. Marketing Acumen, must have an understanding of marketing principles and strategies to effectively promote healthcare facilities and services to target audiences. Good Problem-Solving skills, ability to identify challenges and implement creative solutions to enhance marketing efforts and overcome obstacles. Analytical Thinking: Capacity to analyse market trends, patient demographics, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies and decision-making. Patient-Centred Approach, commitment to patient care and well-being, ensuring that marketing efforts prioritise the needs and preferences of patients and their families. Team Collaboration, willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including sales, marketing, clinical staff, and administration, to achieve marketing objectives and enhance patient care. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing nursing care delivery, managing daily shifts, and ensuring exceptional, person-centred clinical outcomes. You will lead and support nursing staff and carers while working closely with doctors, allied healthcare professionals, management, and our dedicated HR team.
