Business Services - Senior Accountant

From $70/yr

Seeking 3-5 yrs Business Services experience. Role will include tax, advisory \& ad hoc consulting to clients in areas such as forensics and valuations * Leadership focused on promoting future leaders, not hiring above them * Fortnightly training, complex work and mentoring from experienced leaders * Shape your role around your strengths instead of a one-size-fits-all model Most accounting firms say they’re “forward thinking.” Usually that means someone bought a second monitor. This Adelaide firm actually means it. They still believe accounting is a people business. That means investing heavily in training, creating a better workplace for staff, and building a team of good humans who actually want to stay somewhere long term. They’re now looking to hire up to two Business Services Accountants across the 3–5+ year level. The work goes beyond pumping out tax returns. You’ll be involved in: * Financial reporting and compliance. * Tax planning and strategic advice. * Business advisory. * Forensic accounting work including litigation support and deceased estates. * Estate and succession planning. * Valuations. If there’s a particular area you enjoy, the Partners are open to shaping your role around it rather than forcing everyone into the same mould. Clients range from SMEs through to larger groups with turnovers up to $70M across industries including wineries, tourism, retail, professional services, construction and NFPs. You’ll also work closely with leadership that genuinely values loyalty and progression. They are focused on building future leaders within the firm, not endlessly hiring above them. There’s fortnightly training, exposure to complex work, mentoring from experienced leadership, and genuine long-term progression opportunities for people who want more than just another compliance job. Seeking: * 3+ years Business Services experience. * Strong communication skills. * People who are team-oriented, reliable and commercially minded. * Accountants who still care about doing good work properly. If you’ve reached the point where you want more responsibility, better systems, more interesting work and a firm actually investing in its future instead of just talking about it – this is worth a conversation. With over 20 years recruitment experience, I can guarantee that your application is in good hands. The market is small, and confidentiality is key. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have or to discuss the options available in the market. From $100/yr

About us EggAI is a fast-growing, 100% remote AI consulting and development startup based in Munich. We build agentic AI solutions for enterprise clients. We are growing in several European markets at the same time, are actively building our internal structures — and are looking for someone to help shape this growth phase. Your role You are our go-to person for day-to-day accounting. You make sure every receipt, invoice and expense ends up in the right place — cost center, account, country — and you prepare everything so that our external tax advisor can book without back-and-forth. You work across several European countries, with employees and freelancers, and with local payroll providers. We don’t have fully established processes yet, so you won’t just follow a playbook: you spot gaps, think the process through and set it up yourself. You work closely with our Head of Finance, who owns controlling, forecasting and reporting, and with our external tax advisor, who handles ongoing bookkeeping, annual financial statements and German payroll. You ideally bring your own experience from a tax advisory firm or a similar environment. Your responsibilities ● Preparatory bookkeeping: Pre-code receipts and prepare them for ongoing bookkeeping by our tax advisor ● Receipt and invoice management: Collect receipts and incoming invoices, review them, and consistently follow up on open items ● Correct allocation: Make sure expenses are assigned to the correct cost center and the correct account in the chart of accounts ● Travel expenses across Europe: Manage per diems (meal allowances), mileage allowances and comparable expense rules across countries for our teams in Europe ● Employees & freelancers across Europe: Know the Europe-wide controlling and accounting topics that apply to employees and freelancers — or get up to speed on them quickly ● International payroll interface: Manage local payroll providers and salary payments ● Cash flow: Think along on cash flow structures & reporting, and keep them up to date ● Process setup: Independently think through and set up finance processes and structures in an international, growing environment What you bring Must have ● 4+ years of professional experience in finance & accounting ● German at a fluent professional level (C1/C2), including German accounting and tax terminology; English at least B1, as our team is diverse and English is often the working language ● Very good DATEV skills and solid understanding of the chart of accounts and correct account assignment ● Flexibility with tools: you quickly find your way around other systems such as Odoo ● You have owned finance and accounting topics end-to-end, without day-to-day guidance ● You are comfortable in gray areas and make good decisions even without complete information Nice to have ● Completed commercial vocational training or a degree with a focus on finance, accounting or controlling ● Understanding of how a balance sheet should be structured to be meaningful for investors — ideally through your own experience in a tax advisory firm or similar environment ● Exposure to controlling topics such as cost centers, forecasts or project margins ● Motivated, proactive and creative personality with a hands-on mentality — you want to shape things, not just administer them Why EggAI? ● 100% remote work in an international, highly motivated team ● Flat structures and direct access to the Head of Finance and the founders — short paths, fast decisions ● Freedom to shape: you help build the finance infrastructure of an AI scale-up from the ground up ● Insight into one of the most dynamic growth fields in tech and into building a company across Europe Sounds like you? We'd love to hear from you! If your profile looks like a good match we'll be in touch to organise a first stage interview. Please note, due to the high volume of candidates, we cannot offer personalized feedback to each candidate. Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow

Senior Tax Accountant

Haga Kommer, Ltd.Glendale, AZ

From $104/yr

Brief Description Senior Tax Accountant Build More Than Tax Returns. Help Clients Understand Their Business. At Haga Kommer, we believe great accounting professionals do more than prepare returns and financial statements. They help clients understand what their numbers mean, make informed decisions, and feel confident asking questions along the way. We're looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant who combines strong tax and accounting knowledge with an approachable, client-focused communication style. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with business owners and individuals, can manage work with limited hand-holding, and knows how to take a complicated accounting or tax issue and explain it in a way that makes sense. HK offers a unique opportunity to be part of an integrated financial ecosystem. Employees can work alongside professionals across CPA/accounting, banking, wealth management, insurance, and legal services, creating broader exposure and career opportunities than a traditional standalone firm. What We're Looking For * - 3+ years of relevant tax and accounting experience * - CPA or EA strongly preferred * - Recent public accounting or CPA-firm tax experience strongly preferred * - Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns * - Experience with returns such as 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, and 1041 * - Comfortable working with complex returns and high-net-worth clients * - Ability to independently manage multiple client engagements and competing deadlines * - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements * - Experience working directly with business owners and individual clients * - Ability to translate complicated accounting and tax concepts into clear, practical language * - Patient and approachable communication style that helps clients feel comfortable asking questions * - Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills * - Ability to mentor, review, or support less-experienced team members * - Genuine interest in becoming a trusted advisor rather than simply completing assigned work What You'll Do Technical knowledge matters, but the ability to communicate that knowledge matters just as much. Our strongest Senior Tax Accountants can sit across from a business owner who does not speak "accounting" and explain a complicated issue without relying on jargon. They help clients understand what is happening, what it means for them, and what they should consider next. We want someone who makes clients feel more informed after the conversation, not less capable because they had to ask the question. You'll Have The Opportunity To * - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements * - Review financial information for accuracy and identify issues or opportunities that require attention * - Build strong client relationships through responsiveness, personal attention, and thoughtful guidance * - Serve as a trusted resource when clients have questions about their business, finances, or tax situation * - Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining quality and deadlines * - Stay current on changes in tax law, accounting standards, and applicable regulations * - Support, review, and mentor less-experienced team members as appropriate Why Haga Kommer? Own something. Build your career. Work across something bigger. Have a life. Help shape what’s next. Our culture is grounded in Competence, Character, Teamwork, Openness to Change, and Kindness. We empower you to: Build relationships. Grow as a leader. Share in what you help build. OWNERSHIP \& WEALTH: Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) We're building Haga Kommer for the long term, and we believe the people helping build our future should have the opportunity to benefit from its success. Haga Kommer is working toward an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), creating a path for employees to share in the value they help create. INNOVATION: A Modern Approach We're embracing AI and modern technology to reduce repetitive work, improve research and analysis, and create more time for the work that matters most…solving problems, advising clients, and building relationships. You'll have the opportunity to work with evolving technology and help shape how innovation is applied within the firm. HK encourages employees to rethink traditional processes, improve how work gets done, and participate in building the future of the firm. REAL CAREER GROWTH: Create Your Path You shouldn't have to leave a firm to keep growing. At Haga Kommer, employees aren't locked into one traditional career path. Strong performers have the opportunity to take ownership of larger client relationships, work on increasingly complex engagements, mentor others, and move into leadership as they're ready. For someone who wants to become a future manager or leader within the firm, this role can provide meaningful exposure and a path to get there. You'll join a growing organization where you can have a voice and help shape both your career and the future of the practice. How do we support that? * - Continuing education and certification reimbursement * - Leadership academy and development training * - Increasing client ownership and advisory exposure * - Opportunities to mentor and develop others LIVE WELL: Work-Life Harmony Build a meaningful career without missing the life you're building it for. We recognize that work and life naturally weave together. Professional success shouldn't require sacrificing the relationships, experiences, and quality of life that matter most. We work hard, take exceptional care of our clients, and believe our people should still have space to be present for life outside of work. HK employees are supported by a culture focused on sustainable performance rather than constant burnout. How do we support that? * - Hybrid flexibility * - Summer Hours * - Generous PTO with eligibility for flexible/unlimited PTO * - Volunteer paid time off * - Paid parental leave * - Medical, dental, vision, disability, AD\&D, and life insurance * - 401(k) with 3% Safe Harbor contribution
