Senior Accountant

* Professional Practice * Flexible working arrangements * Geelong location \| on\-site parking **Your new company** An established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its team. With a strong focus on building genuine client relationships, the firm takes a holistic approach to understanding its clients' financial goals and delivering quality accounting and taxation services. **Your new role** As a Senior Accountant, you'll manage accounting and tax work across an allocated client portfolio, taking files through to final review while maintaining a high standard of technical quality. Your responsibilities will include: * Preparing financial statements, tax returns and client files through to final stages * Managing workflow and proactively progressing jobs through the review process * Liaising directly with clients on compliance queries, tax planning and ongoing advice * Participating in client meetings as required * Reviewing completed work and identifying potential value\-add opportunities * Identifying efficiencies across workpapers, documentation and compliance processes * Maintaining strong technical knowledge of relevant taxation requirements. **What you'll need to succeed** * CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion * Public practice accounting experience * Strong technical knowledge across taxation, compliance and advisory * Experience managing client relationships and deadlines * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * A proactive and client\-focused approach with a desire to contribute to a positive team culture. **What you'll get in return** This is an opportunity to take ownership of client work while developing your technical and client\-facing capability.
