Senior Accountant

I am hiring for my client, a growing organization in **Tempe, AZ** , looking for a hands\-on **Senior Staff Accountant** who enjoys owning the details while also seeing the bigger financial picture. Reporting to the Controller and partnering closely with finance and business leaders, this role will have meaningful ownership across month\-end close, financial reporting, commissions, AP/AR, and multi\-state sales tax. **What you’ll own:** * Support and facilitate the month\-end close process * Prepare timely monthly financial statements * Manage the commissions process * Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable * Prepare reporting used to monitor business performance * Support account analysis and reconciliations * Assist with accounting policies, procedures, and controls * Manage multi\-state sales tax reporting * Partner with department leaders across the business **What we’re looking for:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field * 5\+ years of progressive accounting experience * Strong Excel skills * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills * Strong written and verbal communication * Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment **Nice to have:** * QuickBooks experience * Inventory management experience * Financial modeling and large\-data\-set experience * Strong financial reporting and analytical skills * Spanish or language skills Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, parental leave, and additional benefits.
