Help Us Build the Relational Operating System for Churches and Ministries At Called, we’re building the relational operating system for churches and ministries. Our platform helps ministry leaders know their people, build stronger community, and foster deeper discipleship throughout the week, not just on Sundays. Most churches serve hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Yet very few people in these communities feel truly known. People often drift away not because they reject belief, but because nobody notices they disappeared. We’re a small, high-trust team building meaningful software with modern tools, AI-assisted workflows, and a strong sense of mission. We move fast, care deeply about quality, and believe technology should strengthen human relationships, not replace them. If you want to help rebuild community in a disconnected world through thoughtful software, we’d love to meet you. About the Role We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer, Web \& Mobile to build polished, reliable experiences across the Called platform. This is a full stack engineering role with a strong emphasis on frontend development, responsive web, mobile usability, React, TypeScript, Capacitor, release quality, and user-facing craft. You should be comfortable working across the stack, but your strongest instincts should be around the user experience: how the interface behaves, how it feels on mobile, how users move through workflows, and how to ship features that are useful, reliable, and easy to use. A major part of this role will be owning the quality of our web and mobile experiences. That includes building responsive interfaces, testing mobile workflows, documenting mobile-specific issues, validating fixes, understanding app store requirements, and helping manage release workflows where applicable. We are especially excited about engineers who are AI-forward and use modern tools to move faster, prototype quickly, debug effectively, improve quality, and reduce repetitive work. This is a senior individual contributor role, not a people-management role or formal technical lead role. What You'll Do * Build and improve features using React, TypeScript, React Query, CSS Modules, Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and related tools. * Create responsive, accessible interfaces that work well across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. * Own frontend-heavy features from planning through implementation, QA, release, and iteration. * Work with backend APIs to fetch, update, validate, and manage application data. * Contribute to backend services, APIs, data models, and integrations when needed. * Test mobile and responsive workflows across devices, browsers, screen sizes, and app environments. * Own QA for mobile issues, including reproduction, documentation, fix verification, and regression prevention. * Help manage mobile release readiness, including build validation, release checklists, app store awareness, versioning, and post-release validation. * Improve frontend architecture, component patterns, state management, data fetching, performance, accessibility, and maintainability. * Use AI-assisted tools for development, debugging, prototyping, documentation, testing, and product iteration. * Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and team knowledge-sharing. Our Engineering Philosophy We believe modern engineers should be dramatically amplified by AI. Our team actively uses AI-assisted workflows for development, debugging, prototyping, testing, documentation, automation, and rapid product iteration. We care far more about builders who can move fast, learn quickly, and solve problems than developers obsessed with rigid specialization. We value: * Ownership over bureaucracy * Shipping over perfectionism * Curiosity over ego * Product thinking over ticket completion * Mission and craftsmanship equally What We’re Looking For * 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent experience building and shipping meaningful production software. * Strong experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design. * Experience building high-quality interfaces for desktop, tablet, and mobile users. * Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design, state management, data fetching, browser behavior, performance, and accessibility. * Experience testing and debugging responsive or mobile experiences across devices, browsers, and screen sizes. * Experience with mobile release workflows, app store deployment, mobile QA, hybrid mobile apps, or app-like web experiences. * Experience working with APIs and contributing across the stack, ideally with Python, Django, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies. * Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment. * Experience using AI-assisted development tools or agentic workflows for coding, debugging, documentation, automation, testing, or productivity. * Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a willingness to own quality before release. * A passion for building technology that supports a mission-driven organization. People Who Thrive Here * Senior individual contributors who enjoy ownership without needing a management title * Full stack engineers whose strongest instincts are frontend, mobile, and user experience * Builders excited by AI and modern engineering workflows * Product-minded engineers who think beyond the ticket * Team players with low ego and high standards * Engineers who can move across the stack without treating user experience as an afterthought Bonus Skills * Experience with Capacitor and hybrid mobile app workflows, including testing, builds, app store submissions, and mobile release management. * Experience with React Native, Expo, Ionic, Progressive Web Apps, or similar hybrid mobile workflows. * Experience with mobile-first design, design systems, component libraries, or reusable frontend patterns. * Familiarity with Docker, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, authentication, permissions, or role-based access control. * Experience building AI-powered product features or internal AI developer workflows. What You’ll Love About Us * 100% remote position * Small team with real ownership and influence * Fast decision-making and minimal bureaucracy * AI-forward engineering culture * Strong work/life boundaries * Generous PTO and 12 paid holidays * Company-wide shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s * Health benefits * Opportunity for rapid growth and mentorship * Mission-driven work with real-world impact Newman Ministry is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment.

About Us At Office Ally, we've been revolutionizing healthcare administration since our inception. What started as a clearinghouse focused on simplifying insurance claims processing for healthcare providers has grown into a full-suite healthcare technology company. We offer a range of affordable, cloud-based revenue cycle management solutions –from eligibility verification and claims management to revenue recovery and payment processing –that help healthcare organizations of all sizes streamline operations and reduce administrative burdens so they can focus on what matters most: patient care. In April 2026, Office Ally acquired Jopari Solutions, Inc, a leader in straight-through electronic claims processing for Property \& Casualty (P\&C), Commercial, and Government healthcare. Jopari brings deep industry expertise and innovative enterprise payment solutions that are transforming how disbursements are handled across the insurance ecosystem. Together, we are expanding our capabilities across the full healthcare transaction lifecycle, connecting claims, payments, and data exchange to deliver a more seamless and efficient experience for providers, payers, and partners. At the core of our company are four key values that guide our mission and work: * Ownership: We take pride in our responsibilities, driving results and taking accountability for the success of our projects. * Empowerment: We believe in giving our team the autonomy and support to make decisions that lead to innovative solutions. * Innovation: We continuously seek new and better ways to improve healthcare administration, embracing creativity and forward-thinking technology. * Transparent Communication: Open, honest communication is at the heart of our collaborations, internally and with our clients, ensuring alignment and trust. About the Role Our team is seeking a highly execution-focused Product Owner (Payments) to support our engineering team focusing on ProPay 2.0 - our next-generation payments and financial infrastructure initiative. This role sits at the center of a major modernization effort, partnering directly with engineering teams to translate product strategy into clear, actionable work. You will own the backlog and requirements for a defined product area, ensuring engineering teams are consistently building the highest-value capabilities in the right order. This is a hands-on, delivery-oriented role focused on clarity, prioritization, and execution—not product strategy definition. As part of a broader platform transformation, you will help enable scalable, API-driven payment systems that support healthcare and property \& casualty workflows, including billing, reconciliation, and transaction processing. Success in this role will be measured by the quality, predictability, and efficiency of product delivery, including: * Backlog readiness and quality (clear, well-defined, and consistently prioritized work available for engineering execution). * Sprint predictability (high alignment between planned vs. completed sprint commitments). * Delivery quality (reduced rework, fewer requirement-related defects, and clear acceptance criteria adherence). * Time-to-clarity for engineering (speed and effectiveness in resolving scope and requirement questions). * Improved engineering focus (reduced reliance on engineering leadership for product ownership decisions, enabling focus on technical/architectural work). This role is critical to the success of ProPay 2.0 and our broader platform modernization efforts. You will directly influence how engineering teams deliver scalable payment capabilities and how customers interact with core financial workflows. By ensuring clarity, focus, and execution discipline, you enable faster delivery, higher-quality outcomes, and a more resilient, future-ready platform. What You'll Do Backlog \& Requirements Ownership * Translate product vision and business needs into detailed user stories, technical requirements, and workflows using Jira and Confluence. * Decompose complex initiatives into structured, prioritized backlogs aligned to engineering execution. * Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are complete, testable, and outcome driven. * Continuously refine and reprioritize backlog items based on evolving priorities, dependencies, and technical constraints. * Ensure readiness of work for sprint planning and ongoing development. Engineering Partnership * Partner closely with engineering on a daily basis to clarify requirements, validate solutions, and unblock execution. * Act as the primary point of contact for all scope, requirement, and prioritization decisions for your product area. * Align technical implementation approaches with product intent and platform architecture. * Support engineering teams in delivering scalable, high-quality solutions across APIs, services, and customer-facing workflows. * Maintain a strong focus on outcomes, not just output (this is not a Scrum Master or delivery coordination role). Stakeholder Alignment \& Delivery Focus * Represent your product area in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-functional discussions. * Clearly communicate priorities, trade-offs, and delivery expectations to stakeholders. * Collaborate with product leadership, architecture, and UX to ensure cohesive platform evolution. * Escalate strategic questions while independently driving day-to-day execution decisions. * Provide visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies. What You'll Need * Proven experience as a Product Owner in an agile, engineering-driven environment. * Strong ability to break down ambiguous problems into well-defined, executable user stories. * Demonstrated experience managing technical backlogs for platform, API, or system-level products. * Fluency with Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation. * Ability to prioritize effectively, make trade-offs, and maintain a clear point of view under pressure. * Strong collaboration skills working closely with engineering, architecture, and cross-functional teams. * Hands-on experience with modern payment systems, financial infrastructure, or transaction platforms, including one or more of the following capabilities: + Payment operations and orchestration platforms (payment execution, routing, and end-to-end lifecycle management). + Financial ledgering and reconciliation systems (transaction tracking, settlement, balancing, and reporting workflows). + Treasury and cash management infrastructure (fund flows, account management, and liquidity operations). + Banking and financial institution integrations (including KYC/KYB, account verification, ACH/wire connectivity, and onboarding workflows). + Virtual card issuance and management platforms (card provisioning, spend controls, transaction tracking, and reconciliation). * Working knowledge of core payment and financial system concepts, including: + ACH, wire transfers, and virtual card payments. + Payment lifecycle tracking and status management. + Reconciliation, settlement, and ledgering workflows. + Compliance, risk, and financial control considerations. Nice to Have * Experience in healthcare payments, revenue cycle management, or insurance workflows. * Background working on platform modernization or API-first products. * Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud-based architectures. * Exposure to portal or customer-facing platform development initiatives. * Understanding of EDI/X12, HIPAA, or regulated data environments. Why You'll Love Working at Office Ally At Office Ally, your work has a direct impact on healthcare providers and their ability to deliver exceptional care.
