Finance Data Specialist

MegaportBrisbane, Queensland, Australia

From $600/yr

Your Role The Finance Data Specialist owns the organisation's finance data, planning and reporting platforms. The role develops and administers the IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) environment, builds and maintains Power BI reporting, and acts as the finance data owner for the curated datasets in Databricks that underpin both. Working within the Finance and Data Platforms team and partnering closely with Financial Planning \& Analysis, Accounting and the Data team, the role ensures that finance data is accurate, well-governed, reconcilable to source systems and delivered in a form that supports planning, reporting and decision-making. The successful candidate combines hands-on technical capability in TM1 and Power BI, strong SQL and data modelling skills, and a solid understanding of finance data, processes and reporting requirements. About Megaport We’re not your typical tech company – and we don’t want to be. Megaport is the global leader in Network as a Service (NaaS), and has transformed the way businesses connect to the cloud, data centers, and each other. We’re publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and partnered with the biggest names in tech like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, IBM, and more. Headquartered in Brisbane with a crew of over 600 people spread across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas, our employees enjoy an environment that is collaborative, supportive, and (actually) fun. Our Team Culture We’re a team of problem solvers, pixel pushers, code slingers, and cloud fanatics. Culture is more than a poster on the wall here – collaboration beats hierarchy, curiosity fuels our growth, and everyone’s voice matters. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We work across time zones to execute on our global vision, trust each other to get things done, and never compromise our values for commercial gain. Most importantly, we place our customers at the center of everything we do. We’re committed to increasing representation in the tech industry and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Don’t meet every requirement? That’s okay. If you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply. What You'll Be Doing Planning Analytics (TM1) Development \& Administration * Design, develop and maintain TM1 models supporting budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and management reporting, including cubes, dimensions, hierarchies, attributes, rules and feeders. * Build and maintain TurboIntegrator (TI) processes and chores for data loads, model maintenance and automation. * Administer the Planning Analytics environment, including security, server and instance configuration, backups, performance tuning and version upgrades. * Develop and maintain Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) books and views, and support Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE) users. * Support planning and forecasting cycles, including cycle set-up, data preparation, model changes and issue resolution during critical periods. * Maintain model documentation and ensure changes follow development, testing and release controls. Power BI Development * Design, build and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports and dashboards for financial and management reporting. * Develop robust data models using Power Query (M) and DAX, following best practice for star-schema design, performance and reusability. * Implement and maintain row-level security, workspace structure, deployment pipelines, refresh schedules and gateways. * Work with Finance stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into intuitive, reliable reporting solutions. * Promote self-service reporting through certified datasets, clear documentation and user training. Finance Data Management (Databricks) * Act as the finance data owner and subject-matter expert for finance datasets in Databricks, defining how finance data should be structured, related and presented for planning and reporting. * Partner with the Data team, who own ingestion and data engineering, by providing clear requirements, business logic and data definitions for new and changing finance datasets. * Develop and maintain SQL views and finance-specific models in the curated (reporting) layer that feed TM1 and Power BI. * Validate new and changed datasets before they are used for reporting, and monitor the ongoing completeness and timeliness of finance data. * Define access requirements for sensitive finance data and work with the Data team to apply them through Unity Catalog. Data Quality, Integration \& Reconciliation * Own the flow of finance data between source systems, Databricks, TM1 and Power BI, ensuring a consistent, single source of truth. * Design and maintain reconciliation and data quality checks so that reported and planning data ties back to the general ledger and source systems. * Maintain finance master data and mappings, including chart of accounts, entities, cost centres, products and other reporting hierarchies, across platforms. * Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, working with system owners and Finance users. Documentation, Support \& Continuous Improvement * Maintain clear documentation of TM1 and Power BI models, finance business logic, data definitions and data lineage. * Provide support and training to Finance users of TM1 and Power BI. * Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and data preparation, improve performance and simplify the finance data landscape. * Stay current with developments in Planning Analytics, Power BI / Fabric and Databricks, and recommend improvements. Project Delivery * Contribute to finance systems and data projects, including new entity onboarding, planning model redesign, reporting uplift and new data sources. * Work with vendors and partners to ensure deliverables meet requirements and quality standards. Product Manager

etrainuBrisbane City, Queensland, Australia

The Company etrainu is an established leader in online learning design, development, delivery and assessment founded in Australia. We deliver custom solutions to SME organisations domestically and internationally, and our customer-first approach is driving rapid growth in our SaaS products. We're leaning hard into AI, both in how we build and what we build, and the product team is at the centre of that shift. The Role We're hiring a Product Manager to own the product work for one of our product teams. This is a true PM role. You'll own your projects end-to-end: discovery, shaping, delivery, and go-live. You'll run real discovery with customers and data, work day to day with your EM, Staff Engineer, and Designer, and follow your work into the wild to make sure it lands. Shipping isn't enough. Winning is our customers using and getting value from what you build, and you'll be accountable for that outcome with your team. You'll report to the Head of Product, who'll stay close to your work on direction and the bigger priority calls, and you'll contribute alongside the wider Product group on decisions that cross teams. The role is based in Brisbane, with 2 days a week in our CBD office. Responsibilities * Own your team's projects end-to-end through discovery, shaping, delivery, and go-live. Sequence the work, prioritise, and communicate trade-offs clearly. * Build deep customer understanding. Advocate for our customers and their industry using qualitative and quantitative discovery. Lead with empathy, supported by data. * Drive solution discovery and delivery. Work closely with your Engineers and Designer to look beneath the status quo, using prototypes and experiments to shape great product experiences. * Ensure value and viability. Deliver real value for customers in a way that also works for the business, and make sure customers actually adopt and get value from what you ship. * Follow your work into the wild. Partner with Customer Success, Support, Sales and Marketing so what you ship is easy to sell, adopt and support, and drives the outcomes it was meant to. Measure it, learn from it, and iterate. * Work as a tight unit with your EM, Staff Engineer, and Designer. Bring the customer and business context, hold the quality bar together, and help the team run good discovery. * Balance concurrent streams of work within the team. Sequence the work and surface trade-offs early, working with your Head of Product when streams compete for attention. * Use AI fluently in your own workflow and bring AI thinking into what your team ships. Experiment as the tooling and product opportunities evolve. Experience * 3+ years as a Product Manager in B2B SaaS, with hands-on ownership of features or a product area from discovery through to launch. Title matters less to us than what you've owned. * Customer-facing experience. You’ve worked directly with customers - in discovery interviews and on projects you delivered for them - and turned what you heard into decisions that changed what got built. * Builder and executor. You can wear multiple hats: shape the how, create process, and roll up your sleeves to move things forward yourself. * Strong collaborator. You've worked day to day with engineers and designers, can hold a constructive debate on scope and approach, and communicate priorities and trade-offs clearly to Sales, Customer Success and Marketing. * Technically comfortable. You don’t need to write code, but you can follow a conversation about APIs, integrations and data flows, understand the trade-offs your engineers are weighing, and ask the questions that get to a good decision. * Delivered measurable outcomes. You've shipped work that moved a number – adoption, retention, revenue, efficiency – and can explain what changed and why. * Everyday AI user. You use AI in your own product work today (discovery synthesis, writing, analysis, prototyping) and it's changed how you work, not just what tools you list. * Domain background. LMS, EdTech, or compliance-focused SaaS experience is an advantage, as is having shipped AI into a product. About You * You've been the PM on work you're proud of, and you can tell the story of how and why. * You have a point of view. You push for what you think is right and change your mind when the evidence says you should. * Results-obsessed and biased towards action. Personal responsibility and sense of urgency come naturally. * Comfortable with ambiguity. You can take a loosely defined problem and shape it into something the team can act on, and you know when to pull others in. * Calm under pressure. When priorities shift or something breaks, you help the team hold shape rather than adding to the noise. * Growth mindset. You want to grow into a senior PM, you're hungry for feedback, and you're willing to be wrong along the way. * Genuinely curious about AI, both how it changes your own work and where it can improve the product.

Technical Business Analyst

HealthTrackBrisbane, Queensland, Australia

HealthTrack | Fortitude Valley, Brisbane | Full-time, permanent Turn requirements into working solutions, not just documents. HealthTrack builds practice management and clinical information software for specialist clinics across Australia and New Zealand, with deep roots in ophthalmology and cardiology. Our platform supports the day-to-day operations of specialist practices, from scheduling and patient flow through to clinical records and billing, and connects clinics to a growing Marketplace of third-party partners. Our mission is simple: help clinicians spend more time with patients and less time on administration. The role We're looking for a hands-on Technical Business Analyst who enjoys solving problems, working with people and seeing solutions through to completion. You'll sit at the intersection of customers, clinical and business stakeholders, implementation teams, technology partners and engineers. Your role will be to understand requirements, challenge assumptions, design practical solutions and take ownership of getting them working. This isn't a traditional BA role focused on producing documentation and handing requirements to someone else. You'll be actively involved in configuring systems, investigating technical challenges, coordinating testing and delivering solutions into live clinical environments. You'll work across four key areas: Customer implementations and enhancements * Lead discovery sessions and workshops to understand clinical, administrative and operational workflows. * Translate requirements into practical system configurations, including workflows, forms, templates, business rules, user roles and permissions. * Identify opportunities to improve customer workflows through better use of existing platform capabilities. * Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), validate solutions and support deployment, go-live and hypercare. * Work with implementation teams to ensure solutions are delivered consistently and meet agreed requirements. Marketplace and integrations * Assess prospective integration partners and support technical and commercial discovery. * Work with internal teams and external vendors to define integration requirements, data flows, dependencies and technical feasibility. * Support security, privacy and technical assessments of third-party solutions. * Coordinate integration testing, validation, sign-off and launch activities. * Help establish repeatable processes for onboarding and managing integration partners. Technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement * Investigate complex customer issues, distinguishing between configuration problems, software defects, workflow limitations and integration failures. * Work with Product, Engineering and Support to diagnose problems and implement practical resolutions. * Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve platform configuration, implementation processes and customer experience. * Translate technical findings into clear, actionable requirements for development teams. Product and delivery collaboration * Act as a bridge between customer requirements and HealthTrack's Product and Engineering teams. * Identify product gaps, assess potential workarounds and help prioritise opportunities for improvement. * Maintain practical documentation covering configurations, integrations, workflows and technical decisions. * Contribute to the development of scalable implementation standards, tools and processes. What you'll bring * 3+ years' experience in business systems analysis, healthcare IT, software implementation or a similar technical delivery role. * Demonstrated experience configuring, implementing or supporting enterprise software platforms. * A proven ability to take requirements from discovery through to a working, tested solution. * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical and operational issues. * A sound understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows and common integration concepts. * Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers, technical teams and external vendors. * Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects. * A practical, solutions-focused mindset and a willingness to get hands-on. Bonus points for: * Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), practice management systems (PMS) or digital health platforms. * Understanding of specialist clinical workflows, particularly ophthalmology or cardiology. * Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, DICOM or other healthcare interoperability standards. * Experience with data migration, SQL, data mapping or technical troubleshooting. * Experience onboarding third-party integration partners or working within a software Marketplace ecosystem. You'll thrive here if... You're naturally curious, accountable and comfortable navigating ambiguity. You enjoy understanding how systems work, asking the right questions and finding solutions that make a genuine difference to customers. You can explain a workflow change to a practice manager just as confidently as you can discuss an integration issue with an engineer. Most importantly, you take ownership. You don't just identify problems or document requirements — you help get them resolved. Why join HealthTrack? HealthTrack is growing, with continued investment in our platform, integrations and customer experience across Australia and New Zealand. * This is a newly created role with the opportunity to make a genuine impact. You'll have the autonomy to solve meaningful problems, work directly with customers and technical teams, and help shape how we deliver solutions as the business continues to scale. * You'll also get to see the results of your work firsthand, helping specialist healthcare practices operate more efficiently and deliver better patient care.

Senior Commercial Analyst

McNabBrisbane, Queensland, Australia

McNab’s Group Finance team is looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join our commercial finance function. The variety in this role comes from the breadth of what you’ll analyse. On one side, you’ll work across McNab’s internal performance – partnering with ops, building models, analysing results, forecasting what’s ahead and helping us better understand the drivers behind the numbers. On the other, you’ll turn your attention to the broader commercial opportunities we’re exploring, including M\&A, new investment opportunities and the performance of our existing ventures. It’s a hands-on analytical role for someone who enjoys getting deep into the numbers, but also wants the opportunity to apply those skills to a much broader range of commercial questions. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll be expected to work with operations and understand the respective business drivers to convert detailed financial analysis into broader commercial thinking. You’ll have the autonomy to own your work, follow the numbers through to meaningful insights and, as your knowledge of the business grows, see your analysis contribute directly to the decisions we make. What You'll Be Doing * Build and maintain sophisticated financial and three-way models. * Support budgeting, quarterly reforecasting and longer-term strategic planning. * Provide commercial analysis and insights to support business decisions. * Analyse M\&A, investment and other commercial opportunities. * Support investment analysis across ROI, ROE and capital allocation. * Work across complex data and systems to ensure accuracy and a reliable source of truth. * Partner with stakeholders across the Group to understand business drivers and challenge assumptions. * Continuously improve our modelling, reporting and analytical processes. * Present insights and recommendations directly to senior leaders and Executives. What We're Looking For You’re highly analytical, commercially curious and naturally want to understand why the numbers look the way they do. You can get deep into a model or dataset when required, but you’re also capable of stepping back, joining the dots and turning that analysis into something commercially meaningful which drives outcomes. You take ownership of your work, hold yourself to a high standard and are comfortable backing your analysis. You’ll enjoy an environment where you’re given structure and support, but also the autonomy to run with opportunities and continue building your commercial capability independently. * People person who partners with operations, building real relationships and connecting the ground level reality with the numbers. * Advanced Excel and exceptional financial modelling capability. * Strong commercial acumen and analytical problem-solving skills. * Experience across commercial analysis, budgeting and forecasting. * Exposure to M\&A, investments, corporate finance or transaction analysis. * The ability to build and interrogate integrated financial models. * Strong attention to detail and confidence working with complex data. * The ability to translate detailed analysis into clear commercial insights and tell the story. * Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders. * Ideal but not mandatory, experience with construction or property. Equally, we’re interested in people coming from corporate finance, transactions, private equity, Big 4 or other complex commercial environments A CA/CPA qualification is valued but isn’t essential. We’re open to different backgrounds and disciplines – what matters most is your analytical capability, commercial thinking and ability to build and understand sophisticated financial models. About McNab We genuinely care. We make it easy. We deliver certainty. At McNab, you'll be part of a business that genuinely invests in its people. We provide the support, opportunities and career pathways to help you grow, backed by a financially strong business where your contribution is valued and your success is shared. Benefits You'll also enjoy a range of benefits that support your wellbeing, reward your contribution and make life a little easier, including: * Additional leave benefits, birthday leave and buy back leave options * Competitive parental leave program with flexible options, no employment lead time required * Annual allowances for items such as health and fitness passport and uniforms * Employee referral program and bonuses * Access to the Employee Assistance Program and McNab Wellbeing Program, covering everything from finances to fitness to mental health * Internal development opportunities through tailored training programs * Social club events and general awards and celebrations This is an outstanding opportunity to build a strong career with a reputable company that genuinely cares about the development of its people.
