Frontend Engineer

SHIFTBASE B.V.Zoetermeer, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

From $10,000/yr

About Shiftbase We build workforce software that helps people get work done. More than 10,000 companies use our platform every month to plan shifts and track time, with less admin in the way. We work from our Zoetermeer office with over 80 people and we grow every year. The culture is open and informal. You can push back on an idea regardless of title, and we change how we work when someone makes the case in retro. About the role You build frontend features that customers use the day you release them. You sit in a product team with backend, QA, design and product, and you take a feature from a rough product idea to a screen a planner can use without a manual. Your time is a balance between working on features, bugs and resolving technical debt. Claude Code is how our engineers write software. Everyone here uses it daily, and whole features now go out with an agent doing most of the coding. You still own what you merge, so you read the diff, you know why it works, and you can defend it in review. The interesting part of the job is deciding what to hand to an agent, what to write yourself, and what context the agent needs to get it right the first time. You ask what a planner is trying to do before you read what the ticket says. You automate the parts of your own process that don't need a human. Year one, in order First, ship. Deliver features in scheduling and time tracking. Start small, then take one full feature from the product conversation through to release. Then, own an area. Pick up a product surface end to end and become the person the team asks about it, including what it should do next. That covers how AI fits your area, which patterns you document for the agent and which calls you keep for yourself. Along the way, make what you build safe to change. Restructure and test the paths you build on while you build on them. Extend test coverage where it's lacking. We move fast and keep quality up by automating what a human doesn't need to do, including the checks that catch what an agent got wrong. Tests in Jest and Playwright. We develop AI-assisted with Claude Code as the primary tool, and a growing share of our code starts there. Human review and engineers owning what they ship keep it safe. We ship in short cycles in product teams with mixed specialisations. We pair often, with each other and with an agent open. Every quarter you get time to build and ship one of your own ideas, and we run hackathons. Must-haves 3+ years of professional experience with an SPA framework, Angular preferred. Depth in React or Vue works if you can show you'll carry it over. You ship. You've delivered features to real users at a steady pace, and you can tell us what you cut to get them out. You've shipped production code with an AI agent. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar. Tell us where you let it run, where you took the keyboard back, and what you changed about your own workflow after a month of it. You automate your tests. Jest and Playwright, or equivalents, and you have an opinion about what deserves a test. You simplify. Hand you a tangled domain problem and you produce a screen that hides the tangle. You explain your choices. In review, in a design discussion, and to a product manager who doesn't read code. You work as a peer. Data Scientist

KaizoAmsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands

From $200/yr

Do you want to work out how you actually measure whether an AI system is doing a good job, and then make it better? We're looking for a sharp, analytical data scientist to own the evaluation and quality loop of our AutoQA product. You can be early in your career (recent graduates with strong LLM fundamentals are welcome), we have room and a clear path for you to grow. In a nutshell Join a fast-growing SaaS company in an international environment (steep learning curve guaranteed). Own a high-impact problem: making LLM-powered quality assurance measurably accurate at scale. Sit at the intersection of AI and CX, working directly with enterprise customers and their real-world QA rubrics. Grow into a Senior Data Scientist, AI Engineer, or ML Engineer role. We invest in progression. Enjoy the perks: flexible hours, open holiday policy, an office in the heart of Amsterdam with hybrid flexibility, visa sponsorship, great gear, workations, and team events. About Kaizo At Kaizo, we build a performance development and quality platform for customer support teams. Our AutoQA product uses LLMs to review support conversations against each customer's own quality rubric, automatically and at scale. Behind it sits a microservices-based stream processing platform handling over 200 million events per day (Kafka, Kubernetes on Google Cloud, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, BigQuery), and an LLMOps stack built around LangSmith for experimentation, prompt management, and tracing. The hard part isn't calling an LLM. It's knowing, with evidence, how well the system performs on every customer's unique rubric, and having a reliable, repeatable way to improve it. That's where you come in. What you'll focus on Translate customer rubrics into AutoQA instructions. Work with real customer quality criteria and turn them into precise, testable instructions that LLMs can score reliably. Run experiments that move accuracy. Design and execute evaluation experiments on large, representative datasets using LangSmith and BigQuery, and track quality with our performance metrics. Build the datasets that make evaluation possible. Curate raw production data into golden datasets with balanced coverage, and generate synthetic data to cover the rare cases that matter most. QA is a discipline of rare occurrences: distributions are skewed, positives are scarce, and resourcefulness beats volume. Build LLM-as-a-judge pipelines to assess system quality internally and make evaluation repeatable. Make results actionable. Your experiments should end in a decision: change a prompt, adjust which tools the system uses, surface context the AI is missing, or flag where new capabilities are needed. You'll work with the AI team to ship those decisions. Evaluate across the full stack. Beyond scoring quality, you'll help validate retrieval (RAG/IR), tool calling, and speech pipelines (transcription and diarization quality). Join customer calls with the team to understand how QA leaders define quality, and feed what you learn back into the product. What you'll grow into Shaping how customers monitor quality themselves, catch drift, and keep their AutoQA setup improving over time. Smarter categorization and routing of conversations to power analytics and get the right tickets to the right evaluation. A solid understanding of how LLMs work and hands-on experience prompting them for accuracy (coursework, thesis, internships, or side projects all count; production experience is a bonus). Good applied statistics: experiment design, classifier evaluation, precision/recall trade-offs, and working with heavily imbalanced data. Strong Python skills and fluency with the standard data toolkit (Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter). SQL is a plus. An analytical, evidence-first mindset: you'd rather measure than assume. Product sense and empathy for end users. You'll be building for QA managers and support agents, not just for benchmarks. Excellent written and verbal communication. You'll present findings to the team and join customer conversations. 0 to 2 years of industry experience. Recent graduates with strong relevant work are encouraged to apply. A team player who's comfortable wearing multiple hats. We're an early-stage company and things move fast. Bonus points for: Experience with LangSmith or similar LLMOps/evaluation tooling Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Docker, or Kubernetes Speech/audio processing or ASR evaluation Fine-tuning or building synthetic datasets for LLMs Who you'll work with You'll join our AI team (two data scientists, an AI engineer, and an ML engineer) and collaborate closely with our data engineers, frontend engineers, designer, product manager, and CX teams. You'll have mentorship from day one and real ownership fast. What's in it for you? An office in the heart of Amsterdam, with the flexibility of hybrid working Visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates Great office gear: MacBook, tools, desk, chair, whatever you need Flexible working schedule and an open holiday policy Fun workations and team events A clear growth path into Senior Data Scientist, AI Engineer, or ML Engineer roles Find Jobs in Netherlands on Arbeitnow

Data Engineer

adesso NetherlandsUtrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands

From $600/yr

· Microsoft Fabric; · Azure Databricks; · Azure Data Factory; · Snowflake; · Apache Spark / PySpark; · Delta Lake; · Power BI; · Collibra of andere data governance-oplossingen; · Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry of andere AI-services binnen Azure; · Infrastructure as Code, bijvoorbeeld Terraform of Bicep. Find Jobs in Netherlands on Arbeitnow

Product Manager

Bluerock TMS's-Hertogenbosch, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands

From $30/yr

Role summary Bluerock TMS builds the autonomous orchestration platform that keeps global logistics moving — orchestrating complex, multi-modal transport networks for customers across fashion, food & beverage, manufacturing, healthcare, and more. Real complexity, at real scale, every single day. We're looking for a Product Manager who has actually lived inside logistics or TMS operations. Someone who can understand operations complexity and who is willing to take on this challenge and contribute hands on to build the next level of TMS. You'll own the products that turn that complexity into clarity, working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, sales, and implementation to make sure what we build actually gets adopted. Responsibilities Product vision, grounded in real user needs You dig past what customers ask for to find the problem underneath, and turn that into a direction for your area the company can rally behind. Market scoping and opportunity-spotting Scanning the logistics landscape, competitor moves, and customer signals to find where Bluerock should build next, not just what's already on the backlog. Logistics know-how turned into product decisions Planning, transport execution, freight, last-mile — decisions that hold up against how operations actually run, not just how they're described to you. The full lifecycle From first idea to adoption. You don't hand off and disappear. The connective tissue across the company When priorities compete or a customer escalation needs an answer fast, you're the one pulling the threads together. The team you’ll join You'll join an international product team with complementary skills and a shared passion for a good challenge, real, hands-on experience in logistics paired with genuine enthusiasm for technology. We don't settle for quick patches: we strive for quality, look for the sustainable solution over the easy one, and keep an eye on what next-level TMS should look like, not just what's in front of us today. Life at Bluerock We're a distributed team across the Netherlands, Italy, the US, and Canada that operates like one crew: local insight, global perspective. We're curious by default, self-driven without needing to be told twice, and genuinely joyful about solving hard logistics problems together. We're team-minded because the best answers rarely come from one person alone, and unapologetically reliable because our customers' supply chains don't get a “we'll fix it next sprint.” As one of us put it: at the end of the day, it's the people that make Bluerock. 5+ years in product or project management within logistics, supply chain, or TMS — hands-on TMS experience is required. Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field required. A track record of delivering complex, high-stakes software implementations , on time and within budget. Genuine ease operating cross-functionally . You connect engineering, sales, implementation, and customers without waiting for permission. An appetite for ambiguity and change : a messy, fragmented workflow reads to you as an interesting problem. Nice to have: API integration experience (WMS, ERP, visibility providers, customs), fluency with Agile tooling (Jira, Asana, Rocketlane), and PMP/PRINCE2 certification. Excellent leadership and team management skills , with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships and stakeholder expectations effectively. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment Our hiring process Hit the Apply button. Join a 30 minute video call in the Introduction Interview A couple of deeper interviews built to be a win-win, not an interrogation. An offer, and the start of your journey with Bluerock TMS. Bluerock TMS is an equal opportunities employer. We take pride in our diverse workforce and inclusive workplace.
