Monitor outstanding tax demand status and proactively pursue stay / rectification requests, orders giving effect, and other similar applications, as well as effectively coordinating with the Jurisdictional Assessing Officer and the TDS Officer (including in relation to international taxation). Optimize effective tax rates and transaction taxes and tax efficient repatriation of funds. Assist in tax planning projects and be a major contributor in regional/global projects. Communicate results effectively to management and non-financial personnel. Support tax strategy planning and M\&A projects, including entity formation, acquisitions, disposals, mergers/demergers, financing, major Capex/Opex expenditures, and supply/service agreements. Assist in preparing representations on direct tax issues for different industry forums. Guide other departments by researching and interpreting relevant Tax laws, applying observations and recommendations to operational issues. Driving digitalization and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of tax compliances and reporting processes. Provide training on direct and international taxes, offering support to internal stakeholders to boost tax awareness and ensure compliance across the Company.
