You will work closely with our existing People Operations Administrators and facilitate all cyclical People related process and queries, such as sickness, holiday etc). The POA will be the first point of call for many employee related queries. Areas of work include:  Supporting the onboarding process and ensuring good client service is delivered for all new starters while managing all compliance checks, including right to work and fit and proper declarations  Managing the Onboarding inbox and responding to queries, undertaking administration and providing advisory services in relation to onboarding queries.  Supporting offboarding and the relevant processes whilst ensuring that as per the EVP leavers receive an excellent level of service.  Supporting on national induction day where needed.  Managing the People Operations support inbox – you will be the first point of contact for the firm and will field and respond to queries daily, providing first line support to all employees.  Maintenance of organisation charts and People Experience sections of the intranet site  Drafting contracts, changes to contract terms and other contractual documents as support to the People Operations team  Requesting and providing references for new, existing and ex-members of staff as appropriate, ensuring that replies are received and distributed accordingly  Responsible for ensuring that all employee files are kept up to date with employee information  Assist with updating the HR database and running reports  Supporting on work experience requests  Support on specific projects on an ad hoc basis  Operate and maintain data and records on the various People Experience systems aligned with the firm’s data protection policies.  This team is responsible for the design and redefining of all processes, templates and services coming from this team. They will have an integral role to give feedback into systems’ review and integration. Owning and updating the employee handbook and intranet pages as and when needed, working with the Talent Management and wider People Experience team on this as and when needed.  Ad hoc duties as required.  Sharing knowledge, lessons learnt with the broader People Experience team where changes and updates to processes, policies and systems have been made. The team The role sits within the People Operations Team which forms part of the wider People Experience Department. The department is made up of professionals across People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Reward and Benefits, Early Careers and Learning and Development. They will work closely with the Talent Management Leads. The role will require regular travel across regional offices in Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Inverness. The responsibilities The TMA will have responsibility for the majority of ER issues that arise in their relevant function area and require good knowledge and training, confidence in resolving issues informally and advising the relevant line managers and/or Staff Partners on good and fair practices. They will help guide managers on HR matters and be the first point of contact. Coaching relevant line managers and/or Staff Partners on good and fair practices. The role undertakes specific project work for group or firm-wide initiatives, working closely with the TML e.g., ensuring timelines are met, deliverables are set and contribute towards the development of the content for these initiatives. The TMA will provide support, mentoring and advice to the People Operations Administration team and provide training and support as well as be at hand to help answer ad hoc queries, working closely with the People Operations Manager. The TMA will be comfortable with analysing and presenting data e.g., monthly MI reporting, engagement survey results, exit interviews, leavers and sickness analysis. In order that these may make a meaningful impact on the people management of the Northern Regional Group. The TMA will work closely with the Head of People Operations to review current processes to check for quality of outputs and value delivered by the People Operations team. Collaboration across the People Operations and the wider People Experience teams is key to the success of this role. The TMA will work closely with the TML to support the Partners and leaders within the client group supported, and where required and appropriate, lead certain projects and initiatives. The TMA will be expected to share knowledge and lessons learnt with the broader People Experience team to ensure any necessary changes and updates to processes, policies and systems have been made. You Requires broad or specialised knowledge from advanced specialised training, work experience or a relevant degree or equivalent. Relevant experience within specific area of work in professional services or a partnership. Able to use judgement / experience to tackle issues and seek advice on more complex problems. Strong analytical skills, based on systems and models relevant to the field of work. Strong computer literacy and understanding of relevant software. This role will be based within the Private Wealth \& Estates Group, which provides a wide range of strategic advisory and accounting services to private clients and their businesses. The successful candidate will predominantly support partners and directors to provide tax and other financial advisory services to the group’s clients. The responsibilities Manage a varied portfolio of UK and international trusts, estates, and high net worth individuals, ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance. Prepare and review annual trust tax returns, estate accounts, IHT returns, and related filings, including 1041s/SA900s (if relevant to the firm’s remit). Advise trustees, beneficiaries, and family offices on complex tax matters including trust structures, distributions, residence, domicile, and inheritance planning. Conduct technical research to interpret legislation and HMRC guidance, providing clear written advice and reports for clients and partners. Oversee the preparation of trust accounts, ensuring accuracy, correct allocation of income/capital, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Support partners with tax planning projects, restructuring, and succession planning for UHNW families and landed estates. Liaise proactively with HMRC regarding queries, disclosures, and compliance issues, maintaining strong professional relationships. Mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and contributing to internal training on trust taxation and private client updates. The team The Private Wealth \& Estates Group advises individuals and their associated entities. A proportion of the group’s work relates to large, landed estates and their associated operating structures, including family investment companies, trusts and general partnerships. The overall aim of the role is to provide outstanding client service in a professional and efficient manner, tailored to give the client the benefit of exceptional advice and maximum added value. You The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and technically capable, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. The position will require a high level of teamwork and commitment, with the ability to manage deadlines and run multiple projects concurrently.
