If you're ready to grow your career and make a difference, we'd love to hear from you. About the Role We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team and champion the deployment architecture that drives our platform maturity. You'll be embedded within our engineering teams, optimizing day-to-day delivery across our on-premise estate while acting as the key engineering stakeholder to help shape, configure, and roll out our new Kubernetes platform, modernising how we deploy and scale workloads. This is a hands-on role with real impact. You won't be rubber-stamping tickets; you'll have true autonomy over our CI/CD pipelines, automated guardrails, and migration strategies, shaping how engineering safely and rapidly ships value to production. What You'll Be Doing BAU & Platform Stability Utilise and contribute to Ansible-based deployment automation to facilitate seamless product feature releases, adhering to established TechOps peer-review processes. Monitor application-level health within the cluster, collaborating with TechOps on incident response and driving post-mortems for engineering-led deployments. Maintain clear documentation, deployment runbooks, and developer self-service guides to streamline the engineering onboarding and release processes. Kubernetes Represent Engineering as a key stakeholder in platform design: Collaborate with TechOps to shape engineering self-service workflows, guardrails, and standards. This includes contributing requirements for Kubernetes primitives (such as Gateway API, RBAC, admission controllers, and resource policies) to ensure engineering teams can move fast safely, without compromising core platform stability. Standardise application-level configurations: Work alongside TechOps to establish clear engineering standards within the namespaces for ingress, RBAC, namespacing strategy, and secrets management. Drive phased application migrations: Partner with engineering teams to containerise and migrate existing workloads to Kubernetes, starting with non-critical environments to establish confidence before moving business-critical systems. Build robust deployment pipelines: Establish CI/CD workflows for Kubernetes-based deployments (using Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, or similar) with automated guardrails to ensure fast, repeatable, and safe code delivery. Implement application observability: Set up application-level metrics, logging, and alerting within the namespaces, ensuring engineering teams have the visibility they need to monitor workload health. Create developer self-service documentation: Document deployment runbooks, manifest templates, and best practices so that engineers can onboard and self-serve safely within the established guardrails. What We're Looking For Must-Have Strong interpersonal and communication skills : we're a people-first culture where teamwork is paramount. On highly technical projects with many moving parts, the ability to collaborate openly, communicate clearly, and bring people with you is just as important as technical ability Strong, demonstrable experience with Ansible : roles, inventories, vault, idempotency, the lot Comfortable with Docker and Docker Compose in production environments Understanding of networking fundamentals Strong scripting ability: Bash and Python Experience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD or Flux Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager or equivalent) Ability to think creatively within constraints and plan pragmatically around them: our stack is real-world, not greenfield-perfect, and we need someone who can deliver iteratively, working with what exists today while roadmapping towards the ideal state A methodical, security-conscious approach Nice-to-Have Familiarity with Helm chart authoring and management Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform (even in an on-prem context) Experience with secrets management tooling (HashiCorp Vault, Sealed Secrets, External Secrets Operator) Prior experience in a role where you balanced greenfield work alongside BAU responsibilities The Kind of Person We're After You're comfortable being the person engineering teams come to when something's on fire, and you're also comfortable saying "let me schedule that properly" when it isn't You can hold your own in a conversation with a software engineer, a network engineer, and senior leadership even if they all want different things You write things down. Runbooks and diagrams: you treat documentation as part of the job, not an afterthought You have opinions about how things should be done, but you're pragmatic; you know when to pick the right tool vs. the perfect tool Autonomously drive outcomes : we're looking for people who demonstrate intent and take initiative, not those who wait to be told what to do next What We Offer True ownership of the delivery lifecycle: The autonomy to shape how we ship code, build pipelines, and automate guardrails, moving entirely away from manual ticket execution. A pivotal role in our cloud-native transformation: The opportunity to act as the key engineering stakeholder shaping our migration to Kubernetes, partnering closely with TechOps to build a modern, scalable platform. A progressive engineering culture: A collaborative, forward-thinking team that values automation, continuous improvement, and building modern delivery standards. We welcome applications from candidates who don't tick every box. If you've got strong Ansible and Kubernetes experience and the right mindset, we'd love to hear from you. Q

Product Owner

QureightCambridge, England, UK

From $270/yr

About Us Qureight’s mission is to accelerate clinical trials and ensure breakthroughs in lung and heart disease reach patients without delay. Our AI-powered data and imaging curation platform enables the analysis of clinical imaging and other healthcare data, helping our customers bring treatments to market, faster. We’re looking for talented people who want their work to matter. With offices in Cambridge and London, you’ll join our multidisciplinary team of clinicians, scientists, and engineers. What unites us is our open culture, continuous learning mindset, and a shared mission to help biopharma run faster, smarter trials. About The Role We are looking for a technically-minded Product Owner to support the development of Qureight’s imaging platform that orchestrates complex workflows across a growing number of global trial sites and studies. The imaging platform supports two major customers. Firstly, our internal Clinical Operations team use the platform and its admin tooling to manage users, sites, and project onboarding. Secondly, our external clinical trial site users and pharmaceutical sponsors access different products hosted on the platform. The Product Owner will own agile delivery for the Platform team: taking the requirements, priorities and roadmap set by the Head of Product Management and turning them into well-defined, technically sound work the team can build. The Head of Product Management owns the product roadmap, prioritisation, and all direct engagement with Clinical Operations, site users and sponsors. Your role picks up from there: translating agreed requirements into technical and architectural decisions, breaking them into implementation-ready user stories and tasks, and running the Platform team's day-to-day agile process (sprint planning, refinement, and review) so that what gets built matches both the customer requirement and represents sound engineering practice. Product Owners at Qureight tend to be technical by background, often coming from a development role, since a large part of this job is working directly alongside engineers on the implementation approach, not just defining what to build. What You Will Do The Product Owner will provide outstanding product ownership and requirements management for the Platform team, including: * Agile delivery ownership. Run the Platform team's day-to-day agile process (sprint planning, backlog refinement, and prioritisation within the sprint), turning requirements and priorities set by the Head of Product Management into a well-organised, appropriately-sized backlog. * Requirements translation. Take user requirements and priorities defined by the Head of Product Management and translate them into clear technical and architectural decisions the Platform team can build against. * Story \& task breakdown. Break requirements down into implementation-ready user stories and technical tasks, working directly with engineers on approach and sequencing. * Acceptance criteria \& test specs. Define acceptance criteria and test specifications for backlog items, and validate delivered work against them before it reaches users. * Engineering partnership. Work embedded within the Platform team through planning, refinement, and review ceremonies, effectively part of the engineering team from a process and delivery perspective. * UX input. Bring a UX-informed perspective to feature design and prioritisation, especially for the products that external site users and sponsors interact with directly (e.g. Central Read system, upload UI, and sponsor dashboard), as well as the Clinical Operations admin tooling. * Technical input upward. Act as the Platform team's main point of contact for the Head of Product Management, surfacing technical constraints, feasibility, and delivery risk that should inform prioritisation and roadmap decisions. * GxP-aware delivery. Ensure requirements and backlog items affecting GxP-relevant systems are documented and validated in line with Qureight's ISMS and Management of Software Policy. Requirements What we need To Thrive In This Role, You'll Need * Previous experience as a Product Owner, or as a developer/engineer moving into a product ownership or delivery-focused role, working directly within an engineering team. * Solid hands-on experience with Agile ways of working, including running sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives. * Strong JIRA skills, with proven experience structuring and managing epics and backlogs. * Comfortable engaging in technical and architectural discussions, and translating requirements into implementation-ready stories and tasks. * Ability to write clear acceptance criteria and test specifications. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working between technical teams and Product stakeholders. * Comfortable managing a backlog and delivery cadence in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment. * Some UX experience (e.g. usability testing, wireframing), useful when translating requirements into implementation but not core to the role. * Experience working on products used in clinical trials, healthcare, or another regulated environment. * Familiarity with GxP, ISO 27001, or computerised system validation (CSV) concepts. Even better if * A software engineering or development background, or other hands-on technical experience. Benefits What can you expect from us * A comprehensive benefits package that includes an annual bonus plan, private medical insurance, life insurance, cycle-to-work scheme, and a contributory pension scheme * Equity, so that our team can share in the long-term success of Qureight * 28 days’ holiday allowance, 25 days’ annual leave and 3 additional company days between Christmas and New Year, plus bank holidays and enhanced family leave * A diverse work environment that brings together experts in many fields, including software engineering, DevOps, data science, machine learning, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and clinical operations. How To Apply Please upload a CV and covering letter by clicking 'Apply Now'. Your covering letter should explain why you are applying for the job and what skills and experience you can bring to the role. We review CVs as we receive them and interview as soon as we have applications that look like a good match (usually within one week). We do not use closing dates. So, please apply as soon as possible to avoid missing out on this role. We advertised this role on Monday 28th September 2026. If you have any queries, please contact careers@qureight.com. Everyone is welcome at Qureight. We are an equal opportunities employer and encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, sex, gender reassignment, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership, or pregnancy and maternity. Women and other underrepresented groups may be less likely to apply for a role unless they meet all or nearly all of the requirements. If this applies to you, we still encourage you to apply – you may be a great fit, even if you don’t meet every qualification. We’d love to hear from you.

Senior / Principal Data Infrastructure Engineer

Flagship PioneeringCambridge, MA

From $90/yr

What if… you could join an organization that creates, resources, and builds life sciences companies that invent breakthrough technologies in order to transform health care and sustainability? About Expedition: Expedition Medicines is a privately held, early-stage biotechnology company pioneering the emerging field of Protein Editing. At Expedition Medicines we create small molecules that edit protein structure and function to unlock presently undruggable targets and a broad array of therapeutic modalities. Our platform integrates novel small molecule chemistry and chemoproteomic discovery technologies with Machine Learning (ML) to enable generative design. Expedition Medicines is backed by Flagship Pioneering, bringing their courage, vision, and resources to guide Expedition Medicines from platform validation to patient impact. We are seeking collaborative, relentless problem solvers that share our passion for impact to join us! Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Senior / Principal Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and own the data systems that make our proteomics data discoverable, trustworthy, and usable across the organization. Expedition Medicines develops machine learning tools trained on proteomics data generated by our experimental platform, and this role is critical to the robust, scalable collection, management, and analysis of that data at scale. This is a senior individual-contributor role for an engineer who writes the code, ships the systems, and sets the technical direction. You will work independently, with a clear point of view on where our data infrastructure needs to go, and you will turn that vision into working, production-grade systems that ML scientists, medicinal chemists, and biology teams rely on every day. Responsibilities: * Architect and build: Design and implement the core data platform that integrates experimental proteomics data with computational tools, with high availability, scalability, and security. Write production code. * Own the technical vision: Define and drive the technical roadmap for data infrastructure, identifying the highest-leverage problems. * Automate and integrate: Build automated workflows across proteomics research environments, including high-throughput assays and mass spectrometry data processing. Integrate instruments, pipelines, and LIMS (e.g., Dotmatics) for seamless, traceable data capture. * Data pipelines: Develop and operate robust data pipelines using workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Flyte), and design layered (e.g., medallion-style) data architectures turning raw instrument output into ML-ready datasets reliably and reproducibly. * Cloud infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure for biological and proteomics data processing, storage, and analysis, using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD to enable continuous improvement of data systems. * Data integrity and quality: Establish and implement rigorous standards for data integrity, lineage, traceability, and consistency. Build the tooling that enforces best practices for data capture, storage, and sharing across manual and automated workflows. * Partner with scientists: Work directly with our proteomics, chemistry, biology and machine learning teams to translate scientific objectives into data infrastructure solutions. Be the go-to technical expert on data systems. * Engineering practices: Set engineering standards through code review, design review, and example. Mentor engineers and scientists informally and share knowledge. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Computational Biology, Proteomics, or a related technical field; advanced degree is a plus. * 8+ years of hands-on experience in data infrastructure, data engineering, informatics, or related fields, preferably in proteomics, bioinformatics, or other biotech environments. * Proven track record of independently designing, building, and operating terabyte-scale data systems in a biotech or life sciences environment. * Demonstrated ability to set technical direction and deliver complex projects with minimal oversight. * Expertise in cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, and infrastructure management as code tools (CFN, CDK, Terraform, ARM). * Deep understanding and experience of data modeling with database and data warehouse systems (e.g., Postgres, Redshift, Snowflake). Strong familiarity with lakehouse and medallion-style architectures (e.g., Delta Lake, Iceberg). * Experience with data pipeline architecture and workflow orchestration (e.g., Flyte, Dagster, Airflow), including APIs, schedulers, and software integration. * Strong proficiency in Python, SQL; comfortable with R. * Hands-on experience with DevOps, software design lifecycle (SDLC), and automation tools (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD practices. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical colleagues. Preferred: * Experience using LLMs and agentic tooling (e.g., Claude, Model Context Protocol servers) to build interactive, natural-language query interfaces that give scientific teams direct access to data is highly preferred. * Experience with mass spectrometry and/or NGS data sets and biomarker discovery workflows. * Experience with LIMS and data management systems (e.g., Dotmatics, CORE LIMS). * Familiarity with laboratory automation systems, including integration with robotic and sample management platforms.
