Operations Manager (MSP & Service Delivery)

Class IVUnited Statesonsite

$40 - $50/yr

Position Overview Class IV is looking for a highly organized, process-minded Operations Manager to help build and manage the operating layer between our founder, clients, technicians, vendors, finance/admin, and internal systems. This is a fully remote position, reporting directly to the CEO. This is not a technical engineering role, and it is not a passive coordination role. The Operations Manager will own operational visibility, accountability, follow-through, Service Delivery coordination, and process adoption across the entire business. The primary goal of this role is to reduce founder dependency by converting fast-moving inputs—client needs, technical work, and internal priorities—into clear, owned execution with defined owners, timelines, next steps, and visibility. MSP experience is helpful, but not required. The right operating mindset is more important than traditional MSP experience. The ideal candidate understands Professional Services, how to build systems from the top down, and can quickly learn the MSP Service Delivery environment. * Primary Function (80%): Tech team management (3 employees and growing) and ticket triage. Designing, standardizing, implementing, and executing Service Delivery processes across the organization. Client onboarding, client satisfaction, vendor management, and internal systems. Managing licenses and tracking client hardware. * Secondary Function (20%): Project coordination, AI efficiency / implementation and administrative leverage for the CEO and technical team. Core Responsibilities A core responsibility of the Operations Manager is to ensure all work is clearly classified, routed, tracked, and aligned with billing visibility across the business. This includes driving consistent categorization of work based on defined scope and project type to support accurate tracking and billing. This role is responsible for creating and upholding operational standards across the team, ensuring work is properly structured and reflected across ClickUp, NinjaOne, Harvest, and internal reporting systems. Core work scopes include: * Recurring Managed Services / Client Maintenance: regular subscription-based client support such as password resets, printer issues, user support, and routine troubleshooting. * Planned Client Change Work: scheduled updates, fixes, improvements, maintenance, configuration changes, or environment adjustments. * Client Projects / Billable Work: scoped client work outside recurring support, including migrations, implementations, policy packages, infrastructure upgrades, and other approved projects. * Internal Business Operations / Improvement Work: Class IV internal work such as SOPs, onboarding, ClickUp structure, reporting, automation, hiring, training, and internal process improvements. Additionally, the Operations Manager manages the Tech Team and owns Service Delivery Operations. This includes maintaining clear visibility across active clients, open work, delivery commitments, and operational risks, while ensuring work is progressing, ownership is defined, and client needs are consistently advancing. This includes: * Task \& Accountability Management: Enforce task hygiene across ClickUp and related systems. Tasks should have clear owners, deadlines or ETAs, next steps, context, and definitions of done. * Escalation Routing \& Follow-Through: Operational triage point for escalation, coordination, and follow-through. Route technical issues to the right person, make sure escalations include context, and track issues through resolution. * Client Communication, Reporting \& QBRs: Support a consistent client communication rhythm, including status updates, monthly reports, QBR coordination, agendas, follow-up notes, and action items. The goal is for clients to experience proactive, clear, and reliable communication. * Process Adoption \& Documentation: Create processes, identify process improvements, and enforce best practices. Ensure SOPs are followed, recurring issues are documented, and client/account information is stored in the right places. Required Experience \& Skills * 3-5 years in MSP, consulting and/or B2B services (hourly or project based billing), or IT consulting operations. * Process design experience — Prior experience building and implementing SOPs, workflows, and operational systems before (not just followed them). * Client-facing professionalism — Extremely comfortable representing the company on calls, emails, and in client meetings. * Tool proficiency—Experience with PSA platforms or documentation workflow tools (e.g. Notion, Clickup), project management tools, and documentation systems. * Self-directed execution — Complete ownership of the Service Delivery as well as the internal Tech team. You see gaps and fill them without being asked. * Financial operations exposure — Experience speaking the basic language of profitability for Service Companies and leveraging billable technical resources effectively. Nice-to-Have * Technical literacy — While you don't need to configure a firewall, you will need to understand the language (VPN, MFA, DNS, backup, etc.). * AI / LLM Integration - You will use AI to turn messy inputs into structured plans, summarize meetings into action items, draft SOPs/checklists, audit task quality, improve reporting, and support automation wherever possible. * CompTIA or ITIL certifications (or demonstrative, relative experience)— Solid understanding of Service Delivery frameworks. What We're NOT Looking For * Traditional "Office Manager" or "Executive Assistant" mentality (this is strategic operations, not calendar management). * Pure project managers who expect to delegate execution (you'll be active across all facets of the company, not just coordinating). * People who need perfect clarity before acting (this role requires operating effectively in ambiguity). One of our core values is “bias toward action”. This role requires initiative and a strong bias toward execution. * Technology purists who can't balance "best practice" with "good enough for now." Job Type: Contract Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour Work Location: Remote

Sr. Manager, Technical Delivery Management

Shift ParadigmRemote, USremote

$127,000 - $155,000/yr

About SH/FT Shift Paradigm is an execution-led strategic consultancy that bridges the gap between enterprise strategy and technical reality. We partner with Fortune 500 brands and emerging leaders to solve the inherent complexity of modern digital marketing. As partners to the world’s leading MarTech platforms, including Adobe, Salesforce, Optimizely, and Braze, we deploy integrated experts across data analytics, marketing strategy, technology development, engineering, and revenue operations to ensure our clients’ tech stacks don't just exist, but perform. The Role We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Technical Delivery Management to lead our Product Owner team and serve as the connective tissue between client needs, delivery execution, and team development. This is a player-coach role: you will carry a portion of billable client work while leading a small team and contributing to the operational health of the broader delivery organization. You will report to and work closely with our Head of PM/PO to build a practice that reflects where our business is going. We are moving deeper into SaaS and platform-based engagements across tools like Adobe Experience Cloud and Salesforce, and this role is central to how we get there. We are looking for someone who is as comfortable sitting across from a client defining scope as they are running a team retrospective or onboarding a new hire. What You'll Own * Scoping and discovery: Support discovery sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to define requirements, write assumptions to protect the scope, translate needs into actionable scopes of work, and develop SOWs that protect both client outcomes and margin. * Team leadership: Manage and develop a small team of Product Owners. Run team meetings, set performance expectations, support career development, and build the skills the team needs to evolve with our business. * Client delivery: Carry a portion of billable work as a practicing PM/PO on active client engagements. The split between direct delivery and leadership will flex based on business need, but we anticipate this role to be 70% billable. * Practice infrastructure: Build and maintain the documentation, templates, job aids, and onboarding materials the team needs to operate consistently. * Cross-functional partnership: Work alongside PMs, engineering leads, business operations strategy, and client partners to align on delivery approach, flag risks early, and drive resolution on personnel and process issues that cross team lines. * Hiring and onboarding: Participate in the hiring process for future technical delivery roles and own the onboarding experience for new team members. What You Bring Experience \& Expertise* Experience leading delivery in a consultancy or agency context. You understand what it means to scope billable work, manage client expectations, support roadmap expansion, and protect margin. * Account health ownership. You have experience managing the financial performance of client engagements, not just the delivery timeline. You track budget burn against actuals, flag scope creep before it erodes margin, and you surface financial risk to leadership early, with context and a recommended path forward. * Web, Platform and SaaS delivery experience. You have led or supported website builds, migrations and feature development, as well as implementations on platforms like Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce, or comparable enterprise SaaS environments. You do not need to be a technical expert, but you need to speak the language and understand how these engagements are structured. * A background that spans both PM and PO. You are not locked into one methodology. You write requirements, manage backlogs, and run projects. You adapt the approach to the work, not the other way around, and take full ownership of your clients projects. * Scoping and SOW experience. You have written or meaningfully contributed to scopes of work in a client-facing setting. You know how work gets priced and where projects go sideways when scope is not defined well. * People leadership experience. You have managed or mentored practitioners in a delivery context, and you understand that developing people is part of the job, not a distraction from it. * 6+ years of relevant experience in product ownership, delivery management, or a comparable role, with at least 2 years in a client-facing consultancy environment. Mindset* You are a builder. You are comfortable walking into a project team that needs structure and creating it rather than waiting for it to arrive. * You lead through clarity. Clients and teammates know where things stand with you. You surface problems early and bring options, not just issues. * You are flexible without being formless. You have strong opinions about how good delivery works, and you can adapt how you apply them to different clients, platforms, and team dynamics. * You do not need a large team or a fully defined playbook to be effective. You are energized by building the thing, not just running it. What We Offer * Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with your experience and impact * Remote flexibility * Collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives and innovative thinking * Work that makes a measurable difference for your clients Why SH/FT: We are a consultancy built for transformation. We bridge the gap between marketing, data, and technology to unlock growth for some of the world's most recognized brands. At SH/FT you'll shape the future of how organizations connect with their customers through intelligent architecture, scalable systems, and the power of data-driven strategy.Comp \& Benefits The salary range for this role is $127,000 to $155,000. Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to skillset, relevant education, level of experience, certifications, and scope of responsibilities. Engineering Manager - Product & Platform Delivery

RunpodAnywhereonsite

Runpod is pioneering the future of AI and machine learning, offering cutting-edge cloud infrastructure for full-stack AI applications. Founded in 2022, we are a rapidly growing, well-funded company with a remote-first organization spread globally. Our mission is to create a foundational platform for developers to build and run custom AI systems that scale. Join us as we shape the future of AI. We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact product engineering team building customer-facing features across Runpod’s console, APIs, and developer workflows. You’ll take ownership of a roadmap area end-to-end - partnering with Product and Design to shape scope, then guiding your team through architecture, execution, quality, and launch. This role is ideal for a leader who’s shipped at millions-of-users scale, thrives in fast-moving environments, and can go deep technically in Linux systems internals and/or cloud systems engineering - you have experience building cloud platforms (control planes, orchestration, networking, storage primitives, kubernetes components), not just applications running on top of them. You’ll help Runpod deliver the fastest, most intuitive path for builders to train and deploy AI in production. Responsibilities • Own Feature Delivery for a Product Area: Lead a team of engineers responsible for shipping new functionality and iterating existing product surfaces. Deliver predictable, high-velocity outcomes that improve customer experience and business value. • Plan and Execute Roadmaps: Translate product strategy into clear technical plans, milestones, and success metrics. Identify tradeoffs early and manage scope, risk, and timelines. • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Drive pragmatic system design for product-layer services and workflows, ensuring scalability, performance, and consistency with Runpod’s platform. • Build and Grow a Strong Team: Hire, mentor, and develop engineers; set expectations, provide feedback, and create a culture of ownership, speed, and craft in a remote-first environment. • Quality & Reliability for Product Surfaces: Improve automated testing, release safety, observability for customer-facing systems, and regression prevention. Ensure on-call health for your team’s services. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner tightly with Product, Program management, Support, GTM, and Infrastructure counterparts. Coordinate dependencies cleanly while maintaining clear ownership. • Operational Excellence: Establish team rituals and delivery systems (sprints/kanban, retros, design reviews). Use data to improve cycle time, throughput, and feature adoption. • Customer-Driven Execution: Stay close to user needs by incorporating feedback, analytics, and support signals into prioritization and iteration. Requirements • Engineering Management Experience: 2+ years managing a team of high performance software engineers, including ownership of roadmap delivery, hiring/firing, performance, and team culture. • High-Scale Product Delivery: 6+ years as a software engineer building and shipping products used by millions of users, with clear evidence of personal impact. • Systems-Level Technical Depth: Strong experience with Linux systems internals and/or cloud systems engineering - ideally building platform capabilities (orchestration, control planes, distributed services, networking or storage layers). • Backend or Full-Stack Proficiency: Comfortable reviewing and contributing to code in modern stacks; Go, Python, and/or TypeScript experience preferred. • Distributed/Cloud-Native Architecture: Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, eventing, data stores, and service-to-service communication patterns. • Delivery & Metrics Mindset: Experience running execution processes and using metrics like cycle time, throughput, adoption, and escape defects to improve team flow. • Remote-First Leadership: Proven ability to communicate clearly, align stakeholders asynchronously, and sustain momentum across time zones. • Successful completion of a background check. Preferred Qualifications • Experience building AI/ML + developer platforms, workflow-heavy products, or infrastructure-adjacent product layers (e.g., job orchestration UX, deployment flows, usage/billing, observability surfaces). • Familiarity with Kubernetes-based platforms, container runtimes, scheduling concepts, or GPU/accelerator workflows. • Track record of scaling teams in high-growth environments while keeping quality high. • Open-source contributions in cloud-native, systems, or ML-adjacent projects. What You’ll Receive: • The competitive base pay for this position ranges from ($175,000 - $250,000). This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Runpod and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location • Meaningful equity in a fast-growing company- everyone on the team receives stock options — your impact drives our growth, and you share in the upside. • Generous medical, dental & vision plans — we cover 100% for all employees and partial for dependents. • Flexible PTO- take the time you need to recharge • Most roles are remote work first with an inclusive, collaborative teams utilizing slack as the main form of internal communication • Join a passionate team on the cutting edge of AI infrastructure — where culture, learning, and ownership are at the heart of how we scale. • $1,200 Home Office & Equipment Stipend- We set you up for success from day one with gear and support to create your ideal workspace Runpod is committed to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and upholding the principles of equality and respect for all individuals. We believe that diversity in all its forms enhances our team. As an equal opportunity employer, Runpod is committed to creating an inclusive workforce at every level.
