Sr. Analytics Engineer (Snowflake, MS Fabric)

Safety ChainGrapevine, TX, USonsite

Senior Analytics Engineer Hybrid - Dallas, TX Summary SafetyChain is building the next generation of enterprise software for the food \& beverage supply chain—and the analytics layer is central to that vision. We're looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the reporting and insights infrastructure that helps plant operators, quality managers, and executives make faster, better decisions. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, BI, and applied AI—and you'll help define what "great analytics" looks like at SafetyChain. Who We Are SafetyChain is a rapidly scaling B2B SaaS provider revolutionizing plant management for Food and Beverage manufacturers by improving yield, maximizing productivity, and ensuring compliance. Our client base includes renowned brands like Albertsons, Clif Bar, Tyson Foods, and Whole Foods. Join a dynamic, collaborative team driven by innovation, agility, and rapid growth. What You'll Do You'll own the design and delivery of SafetyChain's analytics and reporting capabilities—from raw data to production dashboards to predictive insights. This includes: * Architecting and managing analytics infrastructure across Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake, including lakehouses, warehouses, and semantic layers. * Building reliable, well-modeled data pipelines that serve both operational reporting and exploratory analysis. * Designing and delivering dashboards and reports that give plant operators and business leaders clear, actionable visibility into their operations. * Defining data models, metrics, and KPIs in close partnership with Product, Customer Success, and domain experts. * Identifying opportunities to apply AI and ML to analytics use cases—predictive quality trends, anomaly detection, LLM-assisted data summarization, and more. * Establishing standards for data quality, governance, and documentation that scale as the platform grows. * Partnering with engineering teams to ensure clean data contracts between operational systems and the analytics layer. * Contributing to an "office-first when collaboration matters" culture that values high-bandwidth problem solving and clear ownership. What You Bring You don't need to be a specialist in every tool in the stack—but you must be the kind of engineer who thinks in systems, communicates in outcomes, and builds things that last. Core Experience * 7+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI—with hands-on experience building production-grade reporting systems. * Deep expertise with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Data Factory, Power BI integration) and/or Snowflake (warehousing, data sharing, performance tuning). * Strong data modeling skills—dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and metric frameworks. * Experience building dashboards and reports for operational or enterprise users using Power BI, Tableau, or similar. * Proficiency in SQL; experience with Python for data transformation or analysis is a strong plus. * Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation frameworks. * Ability to design clean data contracts between source systems and analytics consumers. * Experience with data governance, lineage tracking, and documentation practices. AI \& ML Exposure We're not hiring a data scientist—but we want someone who can recognize where AI creates leverage in an analytics context and partner with our AI/ML team to implement it. This might include: * Integrating predictive models into reporting workflows (e.g. flagging at-risk batches, forecasting yield). * Using LLMs for natural language querying, automated insight generation, or data summarization. * Working with ML pipelines to ensure clean feature data and interpretable outputs. How You Think (the part we screen hardest for) * You design for the end user, not the data model—insights should be obvious, not excavated. * You default to outcome-based decisions over theoretical purity. * You care about data trust: if users don't believe the numbers, the dashboard doesn't matter. * You're comfortable with ambiguity and can move from "we need visibility into X" to a working solution without hand-holding. * You're energized by a team of peers who challenge each other and move fast. Why Join Now You'd be joining at the moment the next-gen SafetyChain platform becomes real. The analytics layer is foundational—not an afterthought—and you'll have genuine influence over the architecture, tooling, and data culture of the entire product. This is a rare opportunity to build something serious, in a domain that matters, without the usual legacy ballast. Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, marital status, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law applicable to the state in which you work.

Analytics Engineer

BCB GroupLondon Area, United Kingdomonsite

From $40/yr

BCB Group is a leading provider of regulated payment and trading services in crypto and fiat for the digital asset economy. We provide accounts, cryptocurrency and foreign exchange market liquidity for some of the world’s largest, crypto-engaged businesses, including crypto exchanges, liquidity providers, market makers, investment firms, custodians, payment processors and wallet providers. Our end-to-end suite of products are accessible through our Client Console UI and API. We offer more than 40 fiat and cryptocurrencies, deep trading liquidity, 24/7 instant payments through our instant settlements network, BLINC, and secure crypto services. Our strong focus on compliance matches our technical and business expertise, and we are regulated by some of the world’s most respected regulators. Authorised in the UK, France and Switzerland, we place the utmost importance on our regulatory-first institutional principles. About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic Data and Analytics team. Reporting to the Head of Data and Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. The position is more than just a "warehouse developer" role. You will work cross-functionally with various departments—to understand their workflows, model their data, and build the "connective tissue" that makes the business move faster. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of a data product: from identifying a business need to building the dbt models and ensuring that transformed data is accessible where it's needed most. Responsibilities * Ownership of the Modern Data Stack (dbt \& BigQuery) * Act as a lead developer for our dbt project. * Build performant, modular, and well-tested models that turn data into a reliable "Source of Truth." * Apply software engineering rigor to the data stack: version control (Git), documentation, unit testing, and CI/CD. * Partner with business leads across the company to identify manual processes that can be streamlined through data automation. * Bridge the gap between the warehouse and the business by "closing the loop"—ensuring data isn't just sitting in a dashboard but is actively driving operational tools and decision-making. * Leverage AI tools and LLMs to accelerate development cycles, automate documentation, and explore new ways to enhance data quality. * Act as a consultant to business leads. Don't just "take tickets"—understand the underlying business logic and propose better ways to structure data. * Translate loosely defined business requirements into robust, automated technical solutions. * Work closely with stakeholders to define data quality standards and establish feedback loops that ensure data captured in upstream systems is accurate, complete, and fit for purpose. Qualifications * 3+ years of experience in a high-growth data environment (Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or Technical Data Analyst). Required Skills * Modern Data Stack Specialist: Deep, practical knowledge of dbt and cloud warehouses (we use BigQuery, but the experience is very transferrable). * Expert-level SQL: You write complex, clean, and performant queries. * Python Literacy: Not a software developer, but you must be comfortable reading code, writing scripts for data manipulation, and handling API. * AI Comfort: You are an "AI-first" builder who is comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, LLMs) to write code faster, debug, and stay ahead of the curve. * Ownership Mindset: You are comfortable working independently, managing your own roadmap, and taking accountability for the entire warehouse architecture. * Exceptional Communication: You can walk into a room with a non-technical team, understand their pain points, and explain your technical solution in plain English. Preferred Skills * Workflow Automation: Experience with tools like n8n, Zapier, or similar automation platforms. * BI/Semantic Platforms: Experience with Looker, Thoughtspot, or similar. * Industry Context: Experience in Payments, FinTech, Banking, or Cryptocurrency. * Reverse ETL: Familiarity with moving data from the warehouse back into SaaS tools. Our people are constantly striving to be the best through operational excellence. The professional development and learning opportunities create an agile, hardworking, conscientious, and knowledgeable team. The opportunities for personal growth are exponential. You grow as the business grows. The roles and responsibilities are broad and ever-changing, and the dynamism of BCB keeps you engaged and highly motivated. At BCB, you don’t just work for your manager; they work for you too. We believe in empowering individuals to create a culture of personal growth, together. We focus on driving empowerment from the bottom up, up-skilling every individual at every level. This means our team has a sense of commonality and belonging, driven by a shared belief in our mission. We’re passionate about our business, our people, and providing 360-degree support for success. The chance to operate at the forefront of our industry. You can talk to anyone in the business as there are no barriers and everyone is accessible. You will be collaborating with teams on a hybrid working arrangement. We value team success where every individual can grow and prosper. 30 days annual leave each year, excluding bank holidays. 4 wellbeing days per year to prioritise your mental health. 1 company volunteering day per year. Strong benefits package including; Private Healthcare, Pension, Income Protection (long-term absence), Life Insurance, Menopause Policy, and an enhanced Parental Leave policy.
