The Schneider Electric (APC) Business Development Manager is responsible for accelerating growth within the education business segment by leveraging our manufacturer partnership to provide solutions and services to customers that meet their evolving business demands. What you will do Coordinate with Sales to optimize and close opportunities, drive enablement and training on key partner solutions, define target markets and accounts, assess current relationships, execute growth strategies, build a long-term pipeline, and forecast against monthly sales targets. Develop relationships with sales professionals and leaders internally at CDW and externally at the partner to drive collaboration and results between both organizations. Partner closely with sales to collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders at the customer to influence the final requirements of the target opportunity, including executives, program leads, project leads, technical experts and procurement. Function as the subject matter expert for customer visits and presentations, customer conference calls, and webinars, and participate in all aspects of large transaction sales cycles. Coordinate with appropriate resources to execute necessary legal and financial agreements, such as NDA’s and Teaming Agreements prior to RFP release. Identify trends in customer purchasing patterns and partner technology advancements to enact specific plans to help sales teams capture a larger share of business. Articulate the partner value proposition to partners and customers. Align with CDW marketing leaders and internal PPM stakeholders to create a go-to-market plan supporting OEM partner strategies and regional events. What we expect of you Basic Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or six years of work experience in a technical sales/marketing/business development role 6+ years of customer-facing or technical sales/marketing/business development experience in the Sales marketplace. Strong customer-facing and analytical skills with a history of building solid relationships with sellers and leadership contacts. Proven record of success in identifying new opportunities within existing accounts, building new accounts for the partner, and consistently exceeding sales targets. Proven ability to influence across all functions of an organization. Demonstrated collaboration behavior with excellent facilitation and negotiation skills. Strong critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to find solutions while working independently. Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with executives, management, peers, and coworkers. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/projects, meet deadlines, facilitate change, and delegate responsibility. Within Solution Sales are multiple teams, including Managed Service Sales which spans across all CDW growth pillars. ### The role of the Managed Service Sales Business Development Manager is focussed on the following core areas: ### Result-driven sales overlay resource focussed on delivering successful financial metrics for the business ### Sales Specialist and Subject Matter Expert across Managed Services ### Leading new business Managed Service opportunities across all CDW Managed Service go-to-markets, including Managed \& as-a-Service, Maintenance \& Support, Service Desk \& Experience Services, and Technology Lifecycle Services. ### Create and execute on a SMART business plan that delivers against targets and KPI’s. ### This role is responsible for maximizing revenue and GP growth by driving close partnerships both internally and externally and aligning with CDW’s Managed Services growth objectives. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Main Responsibilities • Perform all stages of the software development life cycle, self-manage activities on smaller projects and serve as technical lead on small, medium and large projects. • Determine operating requirements, costs, as well as resource needs for assigned projects and work in conjunction with a project manager on initiatives. • Co-lead with Project Manager employing object-oriented analysis and design techniques including use case analysis, object modelling, and database schema design to ensure business requirements and design goals are met. • Participate in application architecture planning (including system partitioning and framework design) to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability • Lead / develop: High-level system narratives, storyboards, and user interface prototypes. • Lead / develop: Detailed design specifications for hardware and software use by the technical team. • Lead / develop: System test plans, ensure software quality assurance (SQA) standards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished. • Lead / develop: Detailed estimates for projects, including resource allocation, timelines, and budget. • Develop applications to CDW coding standards and quality. • Identify issues that require more attention, and work to resolve issues based on an understanding of the business problem being solved. • Make technical decisions to meet the design goals laid out in product road map and by management • Coach, mentor and monitor progress of jr. members, mentor & coach • Draw appropriate resources together to address technical issues. • Direct and focus the efforts of the technical project team. • Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to stakeholders and management. • Report project/task status to the management.
