Job Description We are seeking an experienced Master Planner (Scheduler) Manager II to lead our Space Systems SBU Planning group. Working as a Planner/Manager at BAE Systems Inc. Space and Mission Systems is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high tech team of people proposing work for new and innovative products for the Aerospace and Defense industry. As a Planning Manager you will be responsible for leading a team developing a multi-year plans that demonstrates to our customers our ability to meet their timing expectations for new products. You and your team will coordinate schedules across engineering, procurements, production centers and incorporate the work into Integrated Master Schedules. This position will work from our beautiful Colorado location. The Space Systems Master Planner Manager II has proven expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Planner on large-scale space programs, with in-depth knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Schedule/Cost control throughout all phases, including proposal, baseline development, and program execution. As a leader, will drive continuous improvement across the Enterprise in the practices used to develop, assess, and maintain schedules in support of programs. Provides customized leadership solutions and direction to their team that oversees major product lines, business areas, or sectors. The Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth. What You’ll Do: Leadership and Management: + Provide tactical/strategic direction and guidance to a team of Planning professionals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. + Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment. + Develop, implement, manage, and improve performance management processes to drive team performance and growth. + Lead a team of Master Planners providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure team members' growth and success. + Educate/Train Project Managers, CAMs, and Planners on scheduling best practices + Attract, retain, and develop top talent, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and expertise to meet business objectives. + Conduct regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring to support team members' growth and performance. + Act as a business advisor for program or department management in long range planning, operating year planning, performance analysis and staff forecasting. Planning: + Develop, manage, and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for programs and missions, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling of resources and milestones + Provide scheduling support to program and mission managers, ensuring that IMS are aligned with program and Enterprise objectives + Analyze and resolve scheduling conflicts, identify dependencies, and optimize resource allocation both at the program and Portfolio/Enterprise levels + Ensure coordination of IMS data with production centers detailed schedules + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Executives, Senior Management, program management, engineering, and operations, to ensure alignment with business objectives and stakeholder requirements + Develop and maintain relationships with program and mission managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. + Develop and implement process improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency, reduce errors, and improve customer satisfaction. + Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and Government standards. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. Required Education, Experience, \& Skills Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 10 or more years related experience. Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. Experience working in a Microsoft Project Server environment. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office applications proficiency. Proficiency in schedule setup and maintenance. Experience in Aerospace and Defense work. Knowledge of all Spacecraft proposal lifecycle stages (ROM, RFI, RFP, etc.). Technical knowledge of all Spacecraft systems (ie. Payloads, Bus, Space Vehicle, Mission, Ground). Experience developing/maintaining schedules on multiple programs using Microsoft Project Server. Experience conducting Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA) with expert knowledge utilizing SRA outputs. Experience working with program teams to develop the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and activity dependencies structured in the Schedule Architecture. Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication skills for constant and consistent interaction with all departments and employee levels including customers. Experience in leadership over peers or direct employees. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business results. Experience with program and mission management, preferably in a military or defense industry environment. #LI-JL2 A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access. Preferred Education, Experience, \& Skills A current, active TS/SCI security clearance. * Experience using SSI Tools in a multi-project environment. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $134640 - $228888 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. The candidate’s role will be to work with GEOINT analysts to determine, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures, systems, process automation, and models to support customer intelligence requirements. The Geospatial Data Scientist will be expected to lead efforts such as, but not limited to: design, implementation, and operate data driven approaches to client’s intelligence requirements; design how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systems; * developing, adapting, and integrating algorithms, software tools, and tradecraft to satisfy customer requirements. These efforts will be to directly support GEOINT exploitation, analysis and reporting of all Advanced GEOINT and Full Spectrum GEOINT (FSG) related disciplines, tradecraft, and products produced by INSCOM MIB-Theater Integrated GEOINT Divisions (IGD). Sub-disciplines include but are not limited to Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR), Electro-Optical (EO), Moving Target Indicator (MTI), Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), Geospatial Information and Services (GI\&S), Wide Area Persistent Surveillance (WAPS), geospatial data processing, and general intelligence analysis. The candidate must possess familiarity in GEOINT operations and extensive knowledge in data science to be considered. Required Education, Experience, \& Skills MA/MS degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in a STEM-related discipline AND 5 years of relevant experience; OR BA/BS degree in a STEM-related discipline AND 10 years of relevant experience. Demonstrated mastery and employment of geographic and geospatial scientific principles, tools, and analytical techniques, to be reflected throughout most of the relevant prior experience. Demonstrated experience and proficiency with data science techniques including (but not limited to) logistic regression, vector, natural language processing, principal component analysis, clustering techniques, neural networks, deep learning models, image recognition and algorithm employment or development in support of any of the foregoing. Demonstrated experience and proficiency with tabular analysis, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, Julia, etc.) to deliver unique insights otherwise unobtainable. Familiarity with agile software development project management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.) to deliver new capabilities. Ability to work non-traditional hours or days if mission requirements emerge. Preferred Education, Experience, \& Skills Certification in AWS (AI/ML specialty) Experience working with IT, business, or operational metrics platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Confluence, etc.). Knowledge of the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) production chain.
