Skills, Knowledge, and Experience * You are a capable, hands-on software developer who enjoys designing and building product features across the front and back end. The operations and SRE focus in this role is something you bring in addition to strong development skills, not instead of them, and you should be equally happy shipping product features as you are improving how we run them. * You have developed modern component-oriented front end applications using frameworks and libraries and have a good appreciation of UX (User eXperience). * Solid working knowledge of C# and the .NET stack. Our current tech stack is primarily Microsoft / Azure focused; C# is our primary language. * Advocate of key principles such as SOLID and CLEAN code, applying to all areas of development. Keen to write code that is self-explanatory and easy to maintain. * You have a sound grasp of modern engineering principles and prefer working in small iterations that optimise feedback. You like to validate hypotheses via experiments. * Alongside your development work, a genuine interest in operations and Site Reliability Engineering, and you care about how services actually behave in production, not just whether they pass their tests. * Experience (or a strong desire to grow) building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating the path to production. We use GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy, but an understanding of the principles behind CI/CD is more important than the specific tooling you have used. You will have worked in an environment that deploys regularly to production. * An appreciation of observability, using metrics, logs, and traces (for example Azure Monitor / Application Insights, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry) to understand system health, and an interest in SLIs/SLOs and alerting. * Comfort with, or enthusiasm to learn, Infrastructure as Code to provision and manage environments in a repeatable, reviewable way. * A willingness to take part in operational duties such as releases, incident response, and keeping live services healthy and reliable. Nice to have * Experience with Okta (or a comparable identity and access management platform, such as Microsoft Entra ID) for authentication and authorisation. * Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code. Senior iOS Developer (Remote)

FinomNetherlandsremote

From $133/yr

About Finom Finom is a European tech startup headquartered in Amsterdam, and we’re on a journey towards revolutionizing the financial landscape for entrepreneurs worldwide. Our mission is to develop an all-in-one financial B2B solution that integrates banking functions, accounting, financial management, and invoicing into a seamless, mobile-first platform. We recently closed a €115 million Series C equity round (around $133 million), bringing our total funding to approximately $346 million. This significant investment follows a $105 million growth funding round from General Catalyst, a long-term backer since 2021 known for supporting companies like Airbnb, HubSpot, KAYAK, and Stripe. Finom's platform goes beyond traditional banking, offering invoicing and a growing suite of features, including AI-enabled accounting, aiming to simplify financial management for entrepreneurs. We're actively expanding our reach across key EU markets like Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. At Finom, we’re not just redefining the entrepreneurial experience — we’re empowering our employees to make a real difference. Your work matters, and your impact extends far beyond product metrics. We nurture innovation and an inspiring work environment where bold ideas thrive, prioritizing thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and our business as a whole. Maintaining our start-up spirit, we prioritize thorough research, swift implementation of solutions, and ensuring that every effort we make benefits our users, employees, partners, and, of course, our business. The Role For hundreds of thousands of European entrepreneurs, our iOS app is Finom. It's how they check their cash flow over morning coffee, approve a payment between client meetings, and freeze a card the moment something looks off. We're mobile-first by conviction, not convenience — the app isn't a companion to the "real" product; it is the product. And as an AI-native platform, the features you build increasingly carry intelligence inside them: AI-powered accounting, smart categorization, and agentic workflows that quietly save business owners hours every week. When you ship something great, someone somewhere feels it the same day. That's why we're not looking for someone to implement tickets. We're looking for a Senior Mobile (iOS) Engineer who thinks like a product builder — someone who cares deeply about the "why" behind what they're building, challenges assumptions when needed, and proactively spots opportunities to create better outcomes. You'll be embedded in a cross-functional domain team — Backend, Mobile, ML/AI, QA, Design, and Product — that owns a shared product area end-to-end. No handoff culture, no "not my layer": everyone in the team is solving the same customer problem, and you'll shape solutions from the first product conversation to the moment the feature is live in users' hands. Fewer silos means more flow — and real, end-to-end ownership. How We Build Agentic development is table stakes at Finom — for every craft, mobile included. Our engineers work with Claude Code and similar harnesses daily, and we've made it a first-class part of how the company operates, not an individual productivity hack. We follow a shared SDLC approach built around Spec-Driven Development (SDD): features start as clear, reviewable specs that both humans and AI agents execute against, powered by a shared AI development toolbelt and a growing library of skills, rules, and context maintained across guilds. You won't be figuring out AI-assisted development alone — you'll join an engineering organization that has already invested in the infrastructure, standards, and shared practices, and you'll be expected to use them, improve them, and raise the bar for others. What You'll Do What You'll Do Design and build new features for our iOS application, used daily by business owners across Europe: multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions and payments, physical and virtual card issuance and control, and AI-powered accounting automation. Own outcomes, not just code. You'll follow your features into analytics, jump into customer issues without being prompted, and care about whether what you shipped actually moved the needle. Build polished, responsive UIs with UIKit and SwiftUI — in a financial app, trust is built (or lost) in the details. Drive technical decisions within your domain, discuss trade-offs openly with product managers, and explain constraints clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Raise the bar on engineering quality — automated testing, thorough code reviews, and mobile security best practices are non-negotiable in a regulated fintech. Mentor the engineers around you and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile best practices across the team. Who You Are Who You Are You're pragmatic, learn quickly, and have a proven track record of shipping products that matter. Above all, you're curious — about the product, the users, the business, and how your technical decisions impact all three. Curiosity. You want to understand the "why" behind every feature. You ask what problem it solves, question whether there's a simpler path, and explore how your decisions ripple into product, users, and revenue. Business acumen. You connect your work to company objectives. You understand the "so what" behind every decision, and you'd rather ship the feature that moves the right metric than the one that's merely interesting to build. Communication. You communicate clearly and concisely in English across technical and non-technical audiences — from fellow engineers to PMs to business stakeholders — and you genuinely enjoy the dynamics of a cross-functional team. T-shapedness. Your iOS craft runs deep, but your curiosity runs wide. You'll peek at the backend contracts, ask questions about the ML models, and dive into analytics to understand how your features perform. Ownership. You take responsibility not just for your code, but for the outcomes. You move without being prompted — whether that's improving team processes, jumping on a production issue, or mentoring a colleague. Your Experience Includes 5+ years of commercial iOS development with strong knowledge of Swift. Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns. Practical experience with the VIPER architectural pattern and the Coordinator navigation pattern — and the judgment to know when a simpler approach serves the product better. Excellent knowledge of UIKit and experience (or a strong desire to grow) with SwiftUI. Experience with layout development in code, particularly using SnapKit or similar tools. Ability to write unit and UI tests. Confidence with Git / GitLab, including setting up and maintaining GitLab CI/CD. Hands-on experience with agentic development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) as part of your daily workflow — writing prompts, configuring rules and skills, and critically evaluating AI-generated output with tests, linters, and review. This is table stakes for all engineering crafts at Finom, mobile included. A builder's mentality: you care deeply about shipping great products, not just writing great code. Nice to Have Nice to Have Background in fintech or financial products — you understand the stakes of working in a regulated environment. Solid grasp of mobile security best practices (especially critical in our domain). Experience profiling and optimizing UI performance — reducing rendering bottlenecks and hitting smooth 60/120fps on iOS. Hands-on work with performance tooling: Instruments, XCTest, or similar. Published apps on the App Store you're proud of. An active GitHub profile with code you're happy to share. Deeper agentic engineering experience beyond daily tool use — setting up agent environments and harnesses, authoring reusable skills and behavioral rules, or contributing to a team's shared AI development practices. Understanding of model capabilities and limitations — knowing which model fits which task and how to manage the context window effectively. Awareness of AI security risks — prompt injection, data leakage, and safe handling of untrusted inputs in agentic workflows. Recruitment Flow Recruiter Interview First Technical Interview Coding / AI assisted coding interview Mobile System Design Interview Team Fit Interview (peer interview) Offer What You Will Get In Return Make a genuine impact on the product Join our upward trajectory, and grow with us. Senior software developer (C# / .NET, Data Analysis)

Intero Integrity ServicesTricht, Gelderland, Netherlands

From $328/yr

Senior software developer (C# / .NET, Data Analysis) Build the software that turns ultrasonic inspection data into safety-critical pipeline decisions worldwide, and lift the team around you. Location: Utrecht region (head office in Tricht, Gelderland) About Intero Integrity Intero Integrity is an internationally operating specialist in the inspection, maintenance and emission monitoring of pipelines and industrial assets. We develop our inspection technology entirely in-house: from ultrasonic measurement systems and FPGA signal processing to the software our analysts use to interpret hundreds of kilometres of pipeline data. The inspection results our software produces are used for safety-critical decisions about the integrity of pipelines and industrial installations such as heat exchangers. Reliability and correctness are therefore not a nice-to-have, but an absolute requirement. We operate across Europe, North America and the Middle East. Our software products sit at the heart of that work: they are used every day by our data analysis organisation around the world. Whatever you build here has a direct, global impact. The opportunity This is a role for a senior engineer who enjoys both sides of the craft: building excellent software, and helping people around you get better. You will work hands-on on the C#/.NET software behind our data analysis, turning large volumes of ultrasonic inspection data into reliable insights that our organisation uses worldwide. What makes it attractive is the mix. You mentor and guide our internal developers, setting an example in how we design, review and test. At the same time you work side by side with our external development partners. Learning from them, challenging them and making sure the work meets a high bar. You'll grow as an engineer and as a mentor, often in the same week. Because our data is used for safety-critical decisions, a strong sense of software quality runs through the role: it shapes how you design, how you review and where you set the standard for the team. If you value knowledge transfer and a healthy engineering culture as much as writing good code, you will feel at home here. What you will do Hands-on software development • You design, build and maintain C# applications for the analysis and reporting of inspection data • You work with large volumes of ultrasonic signal data and binary data streams • You build web applications and REST APIs on the ASP.NET platform • You contribute to bringing machine learning / Human-in-the-Loop capabilities into the data analysis workflow • You work with cloud-native services, preferably on Azure • You contribute to test strategies at functional, integration and system level, with an eye for the safety-critical use of the software • You work closely with hardware engineers, test engineers and domain specialists (UT inspection) Mentorship & working with partners • You mentor and coach our internal developers and help them grow their technical skills • You lead by example in code reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing • You work side by side with external development partners, challenging their choices and making sure the work meets a high standard • You help establish and document engineering standards: coding guidelines, review processes, testing strategies and release policy • You make sure design decisions and domain knowledge are documented and transferable, so the team can operate independently • You help shape a development culture where quality and continuous improvement are the norm What you bring Technical expertise • Extensive experience with C# and the .NET platform • Solid knowledge of software architecture, design principles and design patterns • Experience building web applications and REST APIs (ASP.NET) • Experience writing maintainable, testable, high-quality software • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD • The ability to mentor others and lift the level of a team • Good communication skills and the ability to clearly substantiate technical choices A plus • Experience with cloud development, preferably Azure • Experience with machine learning and/or image recognition, and operationalising ML in production • Affinity with signal processing, measurement data and data streams, preferably in an industrial or technical context • Experience with WPF and complex desktop applications • Experience in a domain where software quality and reliability have direct impact (industrial automation, medical software, measurement & inspection or similar) When do we see you as a senior? For us, seniority goes beyond years of experience or technical skill. We are looking for someone who understands that technical choices affect the product, the organisation and our customers, and who actively takes responsibility for that. You: • Form an independent view on architecture and technology • Think critically about requirements, assumptions and existing ways of working • Take responsibility for quality, also outside your own code, and recognise that in a safety-critical domain the bar is higher • Consciously build team knowledge: you document, explain and help colleagues grow • Are comfortable in an environment where not everything is fixed yet, and know how to bring structure to it • Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team What we offer A senior role with real influence on our software products and how we build them, the chance to mentor and grow a team, and the variety of working alongside experienced external partners, in a domain where technology genuinely matters. Salary & terms of employment • Gross monthly salary between € 5.328,- and € 6.715,- based on a 40-hour week, depending on knowledge and experience • Year-end bonus, dependent on company results • 25 holiday days per year • Hybrid working (3 days per week at the office in Tricht as standard) and flexible working hours • Collective pension scheme, with Intero contributing 50% of the premium • Laptop and phone provided Working environment • Technically challenging problems at the intersection of software, hardware and data • Collaboration with experienced specialists across a range of technical disciplines • Free fruit at work, access to the Intero Gym, company fitness options and a bike leasing scheme • An international, technically driven working environment with plenty of room for ownership and initiative Ready to build with us? Do you want to write excellent software, help a team grow around you and work alongside strong external partners? Then we would like to meet you.
