About the Role: Martindale-Avvo is seeking a driven, self-starting Account Manager who is competitive, confident, and consultative. This role is responsible for managing, growing, and retaining an existing book of business while delivering exceptional client service. Account Managers act as trusted advisors to law firm clients, helping them maximize the value of their digital marketing investments while driving revenue growth and minimizing churn. This is a sales-focused, base + commission role with significant opportunity to expand your account list and earnings. What You’ll Do:* Manage an assigned book of business (approximately 300–400 accounts), serving as the primary point of contact for clients. * Identify, pitch, negotiate, and close upsell and renewal opportunities across Martindale-Avvo products and services. * Meet or exceed monthly revenue, upsell, and churn-reduction targets. * Proactively handle and save customer cancellation inquiries through consultative problem-solving. * Onboard and manage new customer accounts as assigned. * Provide strategic, data-driven marketing recommendations to help clients optimize their profiles, advertising, and overall digital presence. * Analyze performance metrics, historical trends, and reports to recommend growth opportunities and improve customer outcomes. * Build and maintain long-term, high-level client relationships rooted in trust and value. * Maintain high activity levels and accurate sales forecasts using Salesforce and internal tools. * Develop deep expertise in Martindale-Avvo products, online marketing trends, and competitive offerings to confidently address objections and position solutions. * Deliver a consistently high level of professionalism while complying with all company policies and ethical sales standards. What You Bring:* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. * 2+ years of successful B2B sales experience in a solutions-oriented environment; digital marketing experience is a plus. Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills (phone sales experience preferred). * Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. * Tech-savvy with experience using Salesforce, Google Workspace, and other business tools. * Proven ability to build customer loyalty and long-term relationships. * Exceptional organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills. * A positive, competitive mindset with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
