Core Responsibilities: * Work closely with business partners to develop data-driven insights and recommendations to improve the client experience. * Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track and monitor key performance indicators. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions to improve the client experience. * Use statistical techniques to analyze large and complex datasets. * Analyze customer data to uncover trends and patterns that impact the client experience. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments that test hypotheses and measure the impact of new initiatives on customer experience and business performance. * Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization, including senior management, to inform decision-making. * Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data analytics, customer experience, and financial services. Qualifications: * Undergraduate degree in an analytic/quantitative field such as: Data Science, Business Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative field of study or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate Degree preferred * 5 years of relevant work experience * Extraordinary analytical skills, coupled with the ability to form hypotheses and draw meaningful insights from disparate data sources. The ability to understand data, process it, extract value from it, visualize it and communicate insights to audiences of various backgrounds, including senior management. * Demonstrated track record of building strong relationships across technical and non-technical crew. * Strong command of advanced data analysis tools and software Python SQL, Tableau preferred * Experience working within a cloud-based, big data environment (AWS) * Machine Learning methods regression models, propensity models, segmentation, optimization, experimental test design, time series analysis, cohort analysis, Bayesian methods, decision trees, text analysis, preferred. * Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized Special Factors Sponsorship Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position. About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Data Analyst to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable movement, transformation, and secure storage of complex healthcare data utilizing Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards. As a healthcare data expert, you will leverage your analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of Highmark’s enterprise data to drive improvements in health outcomes, cost efficiency, and member satisfaction. Your role will involve working across various platforms and systems, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security from initial concept through ongoing support. You will play a critical part in facilitating compliant and efficient exchange of clinical outcome data, payer claims, and membership data between payers and providers, ultimately contributing to Highmark Health’s strategic goals of reducing costs, addressing health equity, improving health outcomes, and enhancing customer and clinician experiences. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field * 7+ years of experience in IS/IT * Preferred: Master’s degree in relevant fields * Preferred certifications such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) and Project Management Professional (PMP) * Proficiency in Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) * Experience with Cloud \& Big Data Platforms including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Healthcare Data Engine (HDE), BigQuery, PostgreSQL * Hands-on experience with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar * Strong skills in ETL tools and scripting languages, particularly Python and PySpark * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills * Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies * Knowledge of healthcare industry standards, regulations, and data security protocols Responsibilities * Lead collaboration with customers, Data Software Engineers, Data Architects, Capability Managers, and other stakeholders to identify capability needs and develop high-quality data and reporting solutions for complex issues. * Create and maintain data sets, operational reports, and analytical dashboards to support business insights and decision-making. * Work with cross-functional teams to proactively identify data challenges, driving data-driven insights and innovative solutions to ensure project success. * Provide subject matter expertise for project and production activities, especially related to new strategic initiatives impacting existing systems. * Ensure all activities comply with relevant standards, regulations, and obtain necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle. * Interface with business areas, partners, vendors, and technical teams to deliver value, optimize return on investment, and recommend vendor solutions with cost-benefit considerations. * Support testing phases by developing testing plans, scenarios, documenting defects, and analyzing results to minimize production issues and customer impacts. * Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and management through requirement walkthroughs, status reports, and documentation. * Provide strategic leadership and direction in data, product, and technology solutions to support organizational goals. * Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
