About The Role The Data Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s data management and analytics efforts. Responsible for delivering high-quality, accurate data across various projects, the Data Specialist collaborates closely with internal departments and external partners to collect, interpret, and analyze data. This role involves performing in-depth analytics, data entry, optimization, and reporting to support program evaluation, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. Under the guidance of the Data Manager and Senior Vice President-Chief Data Officer, the Data Specialist ensures data integrity, compliance with security and privacy policies, and contributes to the continuous improvement of data processes within the organization. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 4-5 years of equivalent business experience * Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics, preferably within healthcare or pharmacy sectors * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel * Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting * Knowledge of healthcare data, including pharmacy data, ICD10 codes, and medical terminology * Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR systems) (preferred) * Understanding of SQL coding and database querying (preferred) * Experience with Power Platform applications (preferred) * Ability to write macros within Excel (preferred) * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team * Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality * Willingness to travel for job-related activities as needed Responsibilities * Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to gather relevant data for various projects * Interpret data from multiple sources and analyze results using statistical techniques * Monitor and evaluate data integrity and quality for assigned projects * Perform data entry, validation, cleansing, and normalization across various data sources * Develop and deliver monthly program reports using Excel and Power BI, including secure file transfers to partners * Identify trends and patterns through data analysis and visualization tools * Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and privacy regulations such as HIPAA and PHI * Examine, interpret, and report on analytical initiatives to support program evaluation and decision-making * Collaborate with Data Manager and 340B Compliance Manager to meet program QA/QI metrics * Construct and monitor KPI metrics to identify areas for improvement * Support operational efficiency initiatives through data analysis and reporting * Organize and report monthly data analysis to identify trends and insights * Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to data management * Mines clinical data from various EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA standards * Promote organizational mission, values, and policies in daily activities Benefits * Competitive salary ranging from $73,000 to $90,000 based on experience * Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage * Paid time off and holidays * Opportunities for professional development and career growth * Supportive and inclusive work environment * Flexible work arrangements where applicable Equal Opportunity CAN Community Health, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
