Data Analyst

From $360/yr

DATA ANALYST About R/Ga And This Role R/GA designs intelligent brand systems that help businesses get ahead. The Data practice gives those systems their intelligence and proves we get brands ahead. Reporting will always be part of the job. But our work is changing rapidly towards building the systems and solutions that help brands decide and act. This role sits at the centre of that shift. A measurement framework can become a test-and-learn programme. A dashboard can become an always-on intelligence solution across multiple surfaces. Repeated manual analysis can become an automated pipeline. Your job is to deliver what is needed now and spot what it should become next. On Any Given Day You Might * Develop measurement frameworks aligned to business goals \& strategy. * Present performance results to a client and give them one clear recommendation, not five hedged options. * Implement, test and debug analytics tracking on a client's site or app. * Build and ship a working AI pipeline from a clear spec. Prompts, evaluation, data in and out, documented so a peer can run it. * Pull data from BigQuery, GA4, media platforms or a CRM and work out what it is actually saying. * Build a dashboard that a client opens every Monday and trusts. Then ask what it would take to make the dashboard unnecessary. * Take a reporting task you were handed and come back with the thing it should have been. * Write the spec for the next thing we build. What We Expect From You On Day One We are hiring for someone who already builds with AI because they cannot help themselves, who finds marketing data interesting, and who wants to learn from the team, the strategists, designers and technologists sitting next to them. * You have built something with AI. A side project, a university assignment, a work tool or a weekend experiment. You have written prompts that failed, fixed them and shipped something another person used. You can show us what you built, explain how you tested it and tell us what you would improve. * You care about AI beyond the hype. You read the model release notes. You experiment with new tools. You have opinions about where this is going and want to spend the next few years getting very good at applying it. * You find marketing fascinating. Media performance, website analytics, CRM, loyalty, brand health and search. You understand that these are connected systems that influence whether a brand grows, and you want to know how they work together. * You use numbers to change what happens next. A finding nobody acts on is a finding you have not finished. You care more about the decision the data drives than the chart it sits in, and you will push until someone does something differently because of what you found. You Bring * Experience building with large language models. Prompt design, retrieval, evaluation, tool use or multi-step pipelines. Professional, academic or self-taught all count. * Experience taking data end-to-end from analysis and insight development through to clear, compelling presentations for senior and executive stakeholders. You can turn complex findings into a story that supports a decision. * Working Python and SQL knowledge. You can read, write and debug both. * Hands-on time with messy real-world data. You can join it, clean it, structure it, and spot a wrong number before anyone tells you. * Familiarity with at least two of: GA4 or Google Tag Manager, BigQuery, Looker Studio or Power BI, Adobe Analytics, a media platform (Meta, Google Ads, DV360), a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, Braze). Why R/Ga At R/GA, how we work is as important as what we build. Regardless of title, every team member brings these Signature Behaviours to life. Make Things Happen — Ownership, momentum, and adaptability. Make Things Together — Cross-functional collaboration, openness to feedback, and building on shared ideas. Make Things New — Experimentation, fresh perspectives, and questioning the default. Make Things Matter — Intentionality, craft, precision, and delivering lasting impact. No-matter who you are, where you’re from, who you love, follow in faith, disability (or superpower) status, ethnicity or the gender you identify with (please do tell us your pronouns), you're welcome at R/GA. If you have any requests or requirements to support you throughout any interview process, please do let us know.

Commercial Analyst (Data & Analytics)

Delaney & BourtonEngland, United Kingdom

Commercial Analyst | Turn Data Into Commercial Decisions UK - Remote - Home Based Salary: Market Led Permanent Salary + Bonus + Leave What if your next analysis didn’t just produce another report, but changed how a business prices its products, invests its marketing budget or wins back customers? That’s what we’re looking for. We’re working with a global brand, think 000’s of physical stores, distribution centre’s and vans on the road. Operating at significant scale, the business has a wealth of data at its fingertips. Now, we’re looking for a commercially minded analyst who can turn that data into decisions that make a genuine difference. Joining the BI \& Analytics team, you’ll work at the intersection of data and commercial strategy, partnering with teams across Commercial, Pricing, Marketing and eCommerce to answer the questions that matter most. This isn’t a role where you sit back and wait for someone to send you a brief. It’s about spotting opportunities, challenging assumptions and getting under the skin of the numbers to uncover what’s really happening, why it’s happening and what the business should do next. Powered by a powerful Data Engineering and Data Science function. This will be suited to someone operating at, or close to a Senior level. What will you be doing? * Uncovering commercial opportunities: Proactively identifying the biggest questions, challenges and growth opportunities across the business, then leading the analysis to answer them. * Influencing commercial strategy: Working closely with Commercial, Pricing, Marketing and eCommerce to understand their objectives and help shape better decisions. * Measuring what really works: Evaluating campaigns, promotions and pricing changes to separate genuine incremental growth from what would have happened anyway. * Understanding customer behaviour: Analysing customer journeys and segments to identify missed opportunities, barriers to conversion and ways to improve retention. * Testing and learning: Supporting the design and evaluation of experiments, trials and test-and-control comparisons to establish what delivers the best results. * Building the business case: Creating straightforward forecasts and commercial models to support investment decisions, including marketing and media spend. * Making data meaningful: Presenting your findings in plain English, translating complex analysis into recommendations that stakeholders can understand and act upon. * Collaborating across data: Working alongside BI, Data Science and Data Engineering to ensure your work is consistent, robust and built on a trusted version of the truth. What are we looking for? We’re interested in someone who combines strong analytical capability with commercial curiosity and the confidence to influence people. You might already be a Commercial Analytics Manager, Commercial Analyst, Data Analyst, Customer Analyst or Marketing Analyst. Your job title matters less than your ability to get to the bottom of a problem and demonstrate how your work has made a difference. You’ll ideally bring: * Proven experience in a hands-on data analytics role, preferably within retail, wholesale, eCommerce or another commercially focused environment. * Strong SQL and Excel skills, alongside experience using a BI platform such as Power BI. * A solid understanding of analytical techniques, including trend analysis, test-and-control comparisons and basic forecasting. * Commercial awareness, with an understanding of how pricing, margin, promotions and customer behaviour influence business performance. * Examples of analysis you’ve led that influenced a decision, improved performance or delivered measurable value. * The ability to communicate complex findings clearly and confidently, adapting your approach to different audiences. * The initiative to take ownership, challenge conventional thinking and pursue opportunities without needing a perfectly defined brief. We’re not looking for a technical data scientist. You won’t be building machine learning models. Instead, you’ll focus on the analytical thinking that bridges business intelligence and data science: understanding what the numbers mean and translating that understanding into action.
