CIVIL ENGINEERING MANAGER Location: Logan, Salt Lake City, or Vernal, UT (On-site) Reports to: Engineering Division Leader Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000 (DOE) + bonus Company Overview Our client is a multi-market construction and engineering firm serving the building, energy, infrastructure, and mining sectors across the Mountain West. What began as a small specialty contractor has grown into a multi-faceted organization, with a specialized engineering and surveying division supporting municipal, water/wastewater, and land development work. The culture is teammate-driven, with a “family” mindset and a core belief in developing people. Your Role: The Sr. Civil Engineering Manager is a senior engineering leader who balances hands-on technical guidance, project delivery, and people leadership. You will mentor and grow a team of engineers inside a fast-growing engineering division, working closely with divisional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high engineering standards. What You’ll Do: * Mentor, manage, and empower a team of engineers, developing each person to their full potential * Provide hands-on technical guidance alongside strategic project planning and resource management * Drive project delivery on time and within budget, managing engineering budgets and priorities * Work closely with divisional teams to manage a heavy and growing incoming workload * Ensure designs and deliverables meet engineering codes and safety/regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA) * Travel approximately 10% to project sites and company locations What You’ll Bring: * Active Professional Engineer (PE) license * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field * 7–10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role leading engineering teams * Proficiency with CAD/CAE design software, engineering codes, and safety/regulatory standards * Proactive, positive leadership style; a genuine mentor who is team-oriented and comfortable in a high-growth environment * Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; local candidates preferred, relocation possible for the right fit Why Join?
