Operations Analyst

Operations Analyst – Tech Enablement \& Execution Location: Remote, UK Employment Type: Permanent Role Overview We are looking for an organised and proactive Operations Analyst to join a growing technology function within the insurance sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is keen to build experience across technology operations, governance, project delivery and business support. Working closely with senior technology leaders, you will help coordinate governance activities, support operational processes, maintain reporting and dashboards, and ensure key actions are delivered. You'll gain exposure to technology delivery, financial planning, change governance and leadership operations while helping to improve operational efficiency across the organisation. Key Responsibilities * Support the day-to-day operations of the Tech Enablement and Execution function. * Coordinate activities across portfolio management, SDLC governance and release management. * Maintain delivery plans, resource tracking and operational reporting. * Prepare agendas, meeting packs, minutes and action logs for governance and leadership meetings. * Track key initiatives, risks, dependencies and follow-up actions. * Support technology budget reporting, forecasting and variance tracking. * Maintain dashboards, documentation and shared repositories. * Assist with governance processes, quality assurance and audit documentation, including SOC and ITGC compliance. * Work with PMO, SDLC and Release Management teams to ensure delivery milestones remain on track. * Draft and distribute internal communications, leadership updates and presentations. * Provide operational support to the Head of Tech Enablement and the wider leadership team. * Act as a central coordination point across technology teams to ensure priorities are delivered efficiently. Key Skills \& Experience * Previous experience in an Operations Analyst or a similar operational role. * Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. * Experience producing reports, maintaining trackers and coordinating multiple workstreams. * Good understanding of project governance and technology delivery processes. * Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams. * A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop within a technology function. Desirable Experience * Exposure to SDLC, PMO or Release Management processes. * Experience supporting governance forums or leadership meetings. * Knowledge of audit or compliance processes, including SOC or ITGC. * Experience within the insurance or financial services sector. You will be the “voice of the business” ensuring that THE technology teams deliver solutions that meet business needs. You’ll do this by proactively understanding business, eliciting requirements and continually looking for ways to improve the user experience. You will support the Head of Business Analysis to evolve the BA practice, including being a role model and leader for other Business Analysts on the team. Specific responsibilities include; * Working with Programme and Project Managers to deliver business analysis activities in a timely fashion, ensuring optimal quality and a focus on user experience. * Collaborating cross-geography and cross-culture to develop relationships with practitioners to ensure diverse contribution to solutions. Demonstrable Project Scope Exposure Or Experience * Demonstrable hands-on business analysis ownership for requirement capture and definition of full ‘end to end’ Software License Manager lifecycle process maps. * Demonstrable experience of capturing and articulating business requirements and user stories for ServiceNow’s SAMPro solution. * Demonstrable experience delivering process design and change relating to ServiceNow’s SAMPro implementation and adoption into BAU teams. * Intermediate knowledge of SAMPro (N-2 or less) functionality including OOTB forms / workflow / integration, underlying data principles and reporting / dashboard capabilities. * Intermediate knowledge of SAMPro metering and discovery functionality and integrations including SCCM, JAMF, SAAS portals. * Experience of data analysis and mapping / transformation of software asset, contractual and license data attributes from legacy systems into SAMPro * Demonstrable experience supporting ServiceNow SAMPro development and testing activity, acting as the bridge between development and test teams and business SMEs. * Demonstrable experience working with SMEs to create high quality digital training material and knowledge articles to support SAMPro user adoption and best practise use. * Knowledge of CSDM concepts, structures and principles * Working with ServiceNow ITBM, ADO or Monday.com * Experience of collaborating and managing relationships with business stakeholders, at all levels, with the ability to challenge where required. * Ability to quickly understand high level business processes and problems and present solutions and options. Essential Skills * Designing user experiences and design thinking * Intermediate / advanced user of iGrafx and Microsoft Visio software for creation of process maps * Intermediate Excel and PowerBI skills to support data analysis, reporting design and delivery
