Product Manager - Consumer Experience (FB8A58D)

London, England, UKFrom $80/yr

Referment is working with a fast-growing fintech that is rebuilding payments around zero-fee processing for merchants, monetising instead through value-added services such as lender commissions and FX. Backed by leading venture investors and already trusted by millions of consumers and thousands of businesses, its product team sits at the centre of that mission. This is a hands-on product role focused on the consumer side of the platform — the web and mobile experiences, checkout and payment flows that sit at the core of what the business does. You'll shape the roadmap working across Commercial, Operations, Design, Engineering and Data, and you'll be building with AI-native tools from day one. The Role * Shape the roadmap for consumer experiences: obsess over the right problems, define bold success metrics, and make decisions that are both commercial and customer-minded. * Take products from zero to one and beyond — through ideation, development, launch, growth and the relentless optimisation that follows. * Push Engineering to move fast and build right, leading on technical approach, requirements and delivery without losing sight of the bigger picture. * Partner with Design and UX to create web and mobile experiences that are simple yet transformative. * Run bold experiments on checkout and conversion flows — cut what doesn't work, double down on what does. * Cut through complexity with stakeholders across Marketing, Legal, Financial Crime and Strategy, aligning quickly and moving faster. What We're Looking For * 3-5+ years of product management experience on consumer-focused features, with a track record of taking features from zero to one. * Direct experience of consumer products such as consumer checkout, consumer apps or consumer fintech — you understand how conversion and drop-off trade off against each other, and you've moved the needle on them. This is a consumer product role, not a back-end payments or B2B platform role. * Comfortable working with Engineering: you can write a clear spec, argue technical trade-offs, and make the call when there's no clean answer. * Sharp with data — you define success metrics and analyse the data around your features. * A bias for shipping: an 80%-right version this week beats a 100%-right version next quarter. * Excellent written and verbal communication that brings engineers, designers and non-technical stakeholders onto the same page. * You've shipped and grown a product used by tens or hundreds of thousands of consumers — in e-commerce, retail marketplaces, subscriptions, fintech, gaming or media. This could suit a product manager from a consumer e-commerce, marketplace or fintech business who loves conversion optimisation and wants ownership of checkout and payment flows at scale. #Referment

Senior QA Engineer (483481F)

Bristol, England, UKFrom $270/yr

Referment is working with a financial services technology company whose development teams build and maintain financial reconciliation and payments platforms. Its products are cloud-native and multi-tenant, and this role is central to how quality is built into them. The Role You'll join an interdisciplinary team of engineers, a product manager and an architect, getting involved from kickoff in designing and scoping features, identifying risk early and shaping acceptance criteria and BDD scenarios. This is a hands-on, automation-focused role: you'll design, build and own automated test suites across APIs, services and a React front end, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines so every change gets fast, reliable feedback. You'll own the team's test automation frameworks and tooling, keeping tests fast, stable and maintainable, and you'll lead performance, load and scalability testing, defining realistic scenarios and working with engineers to resolve bottlenecks. You'll review pull requests with a quality lens, champion AI tools in testing, and evolve the team's test strategy and quality metrics. You'll also coach and mentor engineers so quality is owned by the whole team, take part in Agile ceremonies, and consider security and data privacy in all testing, with due concern for standards such as PCI and ISO 27001. You'll support releases, triage customer-reported issues with support colleagues, and carry out targeted exploratory testing of high-risk changes. What We're Looking For * Significant commercial experience as a QA, test automation or SDET engineer, including owning test automation for a product or team. * Strong programming skills for test automation in Kotlin, Java or TypeScript, with confidence reading production code. * Hands-on API and UI automation using modern tools such as Cypress or Playwright. * Experience testing Spring Boot microservices, including integration and contract testing with tools such as JUnit and Testcontainers. * Proven performance and load testing with tools such as Gatling, k6 or JMeter, and analysis using monitoring and observability tools. * Integrating automated tests into CI/CD and testing applications on Docker, Kubernetes and AWS. * Good SQL skills, ideally PostgreSQL. * Confidence using AI-assisted tools day to day, with an interest in applying them to testing. * A solid understanding of the test pyramid, BDD and TDD, and of Agile and Lean practices. * Excellent communication, able to explain risk and quality trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences. Desirable * Experience testing complex financial systems such as reconciliation, payments or data integrity. This could suit a senior QA or SDET engineer from a cloud-native product environment who wants deep automation ownership, or an engineer who has moved into quality and enjoys shaping how a team tests. #Referment

Senior DevOps Engineer (B98D278)

London, England, UK

Referment is working with a global financial-services technology company offering a transaction payments platform and APIs covering embedded finance, payment accounts, FX, rapid payouts and physical and virtual card issuing. A regulated e-money institution operating in the UK and Europe, it is part of a wider financial-technology group and delivers API-driven payments infrastructure to corporate and fintech clients. You will join the technical operations team as a Senior DevOps Engineer, reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, and take a key role in the evolution of the cloud platform and payments infrastructure. The position offers genuine influence over engineering standards, cloud architecture and platform strategy across a business delivering API-driven payment and card solutions. The team has fully embraced AI-assisted engineering and wants people who will push that further rather than merely tolerate it. The Role * Own and evolve cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments. * Integrate AI tooling into daily engineering workflows - code, infrastructure and incident response - as a default way of working. * Design and implement Infrastructure as Code standards and build scalable CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery. * Drive platform reliability, observability and operational excellence, implementing monitoring, logging and alerting frameworks for critical applications. * Lead incident response, root-cause analysis and platform improvements. * Ensure infrastructure meets security, governance and compliance requirements, and support business continuity, disaster recovery and high-availability initiatives. * Champion DevOps culture and mentor engineers on cloud, automation and DevOps practices. What We're Looking For * Genuine, demonstrated enthusiasm for AI-assisted engineering - daily use of tools like Claude Code, Copilot or equivalent as a core part of how you work. * Significant experience in a Senior DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering role. * Deep expertise in public cloud infrastructure, strong Kubernetes and containerisation experience, and proven IaC with Terraform or similar. * Experience designing and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines. * Strong understanding of networking, security and cloud architecture, with a track record of improving reliability and operational performance. Desirable * Experience with PCI-DSS, SOC2 or similar regulatory frameworks. * Background in fintech, payments, banking or other regulated industries, including card and payment infrastructure supporting rails such as Faster Payments, SEPA, SWIFT and ACH. * Experience with high-volume transaction platforms, event-driven architectures and API platforms. The technical environment spans AWS, Azure or GCP, Kubernetes or ECS, Terraform, GitHub Actions or similar CI tools, Linux, MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL, Python or Bash, and Prometheus/Grafana-style monitoring. This could suit a senior platform engineer from a payments or regulated fintech background who wants real ownership of a cloud platform and a team that has committed to AI-assisted engineering. The employer cannot provide visa sponsorship; you'll need eligibility to work in the United Kingdom. #Referment
