The Role Monad Foundation, a core contributor to the Monad protocol, is looking for a DeFi Specialist to serve as the operational backbone of DeFi growth across the Monad network. This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role for someone with encyclopedic knowledge of DeFi protocols, deep opinions on asset quality, and the coordination skills to onboard new protocols and assets from first conversation to live, liquid market. You'll work directly with builders deploying on the Monad network, advising on protocol mechanics, identifying product gaps, and helping them ship better. You'll evaluate which assets are worth bringing to the ecosystem and which carry hidden risk. You'll coordinate across oracles, liquidators, DEX pools, curators, and bridges to make onboarding seamless. And you'll track the full state of DeFi on the Monad network in real time, spotting problems early and recommending where to allocate time or incentives for maximum impact. If someone can hand you a protocol frontend you've never seen, and you can produce a sharp, actionable teardown in 30 minutes, this role is for you. What You Will Do * Advise DeFi builders on the Monad network with succinct, hard-hitting feedback on protocol design, UX, market positioning, and competitive gaps. You should be able to open any Monad-native protocol's site and quickly produce an actionable list of strengths and weaknesses. * Execute end-to-end onboarding of new protocols and assets, coordinating across oracles, liquidators, DEX pool setup, curators, and bridging providers to bring new markets live. * Prioritize which assets to bring to the Monad network based on market demand, composability value, and rigorous risk assessment. Research new assets and evaluate bridging mechanics, relative interest rates, liquidity depth, redemption windows, reserve transparency, and issuer controls. * Monitor the state of DeFi on the Monad network and flag gaps, imbalances, or inefficiencies. Recommend where to allocate time or incentive spend to address ecosystem-level problems. * Inform incentive strategy with grounded opinions on what types of programs attract durable TVL per unit of spend versus what generates mercenary capital. * Grow DeFi on the Monad network substantially, as measured by TVL, volume, stablecoin market cap, RWA market cap, and fees generated. Who You Are * Encyclopedic DeFi knowledge. You can explain the value flow in any leading lending protocol (Aave, Morpho, Euler), walk through how a CDP, DEX, or yield-bearing stablecoin succeeds or fails, and articulate what each protocol category needs to get right to win. * Opinionated on asset quality. You track interest-bearing assets, stablecoins, and RWAs closely. You know the prevailing market opinion on key assets and can independently assess new ones for strengths and pitfalls. * Operationally rigorous. You can manage the full coordination chain of onboarding a new protocol or asset: oracles, liquidation infrastructure, DEX liquidity, curators, bridges. Nothing falls through the cracks. * Sharp protocol instincts. Given any DeFi protocol's frontend or documentation, you can rapidly identify what's working, what's broken, and what to fix. Your advice is specific, not generic. * Opinionated on incentive efficiency. You have a framework for evaluating which growth programs create flywheels versus which burn capital, and you can defend that framework with data and examples. * Strong communicator. You deliver concise, high-signal analysis and recommendations. Builders and internal stakeholders trust your judgment because your reasoning is transparent and well-supported. Nice to Haves * Strong knowledge of trading and markets; able to think in expected value (EV) terms and apply that lens to DeFi strategy. * Experience at a DeFi protocol in a growth, strategy, or protocol operations capacity. * Familiarity with the Monad network's architecture, performance characteristics, and ecosystem. * Comfort reading Solidity and understanding smart contract risk at a conceptual level. Head of DeFi

The Role Monad Foundation, a core contributor to the Monad protocol, is looking for a Head of DeFi to lead the strategy, relationships, and hands-on execution that grows DeFi across the Monad network. This is a player-coach role: you'll set the roadmap and get into the weeds, advising builders on protocol design, orchestrating asset onboarding, deploying incentives with discipline, and ensuring the DeFi stack on Monad is robust and capital-efficient. You should be the person who can explain how any top protocol on DefiLlama makes money, open a Monad-native protocol's frontend and produce a sharp assessment of what's working and what isn't, and then get on a call with a TradFi executive and explain why on-chain yield infrastructure matters. You hold the full DeFi picture in your head, and you turn that knowledge into TVL, volume, and fees. What You Will Do * Own DeFi growth strategy for the Monad network - Prioritize bets across lending, DEXs, stablecoins, RWAs, and yield infrastructure, measured by TVL, volume, stablecoin market cap, RWA market cap, and fees generated. * Execute end-to-end asset and protocol onboarding -coordinating across oracles, liquidators, DEX pool setup, curators, and bridging providers. * Advise DeFi builders deploying on the Monad network - with high-conviction, actionable feedback on protocol mechanics, product gaps, and market positioning. * Activate your network - of whales, liquid funds, curators, and blue-chip DeFi founders to kickstart early liquidity and protocol traction. * Bridge DeFi and TradFi/Fintech - Represent the Foundation with senior institutional executives, translating yield generation opportunities (e.g., Morpho vaults on the Monad network) into strategic terms they act on. * Drive incentive strategy - Form and defend opinions on which initiatives attract durable TVL per unit of spend versus which produce mercenary capital. * Manage a team of 2–3 DeFi specialists - setting priorities, maintaining execution tempo, and building a culture of rigor and action bias. Who You Are * DeFi-fluent operator with a track record of driving measurable growth in TVL, liquidity, or protocol adoption. You understand value flows across lending (Aave, Morpho, Euler), CDPs, DEXs, and yield-bearing stablecoins — and can explain what each category needs to get right to win. * Opinionated on asset quality and risk. You can research a new interest-bearing asset and quickly assess bridging mechanics, liquidity depth, redemption windows, reserve transparency, and issuer controls. * Deep, pre-existing network among whales, liquid crypto-native funds, DeFi curators, and blue-chip protocol founders. You bring the rolodex on day one. * Executive presence. Credible with TradFi/Fintech C-suite; able to make DeFi concepts legible to institutional decision-makers without dumbing them down. * Strategic and organized. You see the full DeFi chessboard, prioritize ruthlessly, and know when to move fast versus when to build consensus. * Proven leader with prior experience managing a small, high-output team with clear direction and high trust. * Efficient communicator, written and verbal. DeFi Success Lead

We believe that the Monad blockchain--the performant and parallel EVM Layer 1--will help decentralized apps eat the world. The Role DeFi on Monad is live. Protocols are deploying. Now the real work begins. We're looking for a DeFi Success Lead to own Monad Foundation’s strategy for supporting the growth of Monad's DeFi ecosystem - not just what lands on the chain, but how deep it goes. You'll work directly with the protocols already building on Monad to help them grow their TVL, expand their product surface, and unlock the integrations that make each one more valuable than it could be in isolation. A core pillar of this role is plugging real-world assets into DeFi. You'll connect tokenized asset issuers - treasuries, credit, fund products - with the lending protocols, yield vaults, and liquidity infrastructure on Monad that can make those assets productive onchain. You've probably already done some version of this. You know how RWA looping strategies work, how collateral gets structured in lending markets, and how to get institutional capital comfortable deploying into DeFi. This role reports to the VP of Go-to-Market and sits at the center of Monad's ecosystem strategy. You'll be the person protocol teams call when they want to grow — and you'll have the Foundation's resources and network to help them make it happen. What You Will Do * Own protocol growth end-to-end. Build tailored growth plans with DeFi protocols on Monad - collaborating on liquidity incentive and co-incentive campaign structures, identifying missing integrations, and tracking TVL and volume against targets. You're not handing protocols off after they launch; you're accountable for their success. * Build the RWA x DeFi flywheel. Source and manage relationships with tokenized asset issuers and connect them with the right lending protocols, yield vaults, and stablecoin infrastructure on Monad. Design the looping strategies and collateral structures that make RWAs composable and yield-generating onchain - not just listed. * Connect the dots across the ecosystem. Identify cross-protocol opportunities that create compounding value - pairing a lending market with a DEX for deeper liquidity loops, or connecting a yield vault with an RWA issuer to expand TVL. You'll see the ecosystem as a system, not a list of individual protocols. * Bring institutional capital onchain. Work with institutional LPs, asset managers, and capital allocators to identify opportunities to deploy into RWA-backed DeFi products on Monad. You're comfortable in both the DeFi-native and TradFi-adjacent worlds, and can speak credibly to both. Who You Are * You've spent meaningful time inside DeFi collaborations or ecosystem growth -working with a Layer 1, Layer 2, or major protocol affiliated org - and you have a track record of growing TVL and user activity, not just signing deals * You've worked with RWA protocols or tokenization platforms before and understand how tokenized assets move from issuance into productive DeFi yield - collateral structures, redemption mechanics, oracle dependencies and all * You understand how lending markets, AMMs, yield vaults, and liquidity incentives interact - and you can diagnose why a protocol isn't growing and propose concrete solutions to fix it * You've worked with institutional counterparts - asset managers, family offices, or similar - and know how to get capital comfortable with DeFi-native infrastructure * You operate with high autonomy, hold yourself accountable to metrics, and treat protocol success as your own Why Work with Us * Challenging problems.
