Job Description Serves as member of management team - collaborates on organizational business issues, communicates appropriate messages, and supports and drives corporate initiative Oversees all activities of the assigned operational practice - provides leadership and direction to direct reports and providers, and acts as positive role model Drives the development and execution of short- and long-term business plans and corresponding budgets by collaborating with physician leadership and corporate administration in strategic planning and marketing for the practice * Executes business plans by assigning accountability to appropriate staff and/or physicians, monitoring progress, making appropriate adjustments, and finding solutions to obstacles * Continuously identifies ways to increase profitability - recommends and implements cost-effective strategies for department * Continuously identifies and implements ways to maximize efficiency, productivity and resource allocation. Our Outpatient Rehab Clinic in Stratford, CT is connected to our Hartford Healthcare Urgent Care center. It is part of a multidisciplinary team of medical, rehabilitation, and wellness professionals dedicated to improving the health of all patients. This therapist will collaborate with professionals throughout the facility to support our coordinated care model. All of our clinics have ample private treatment spaces and state-of-the-art gyms to support our patient’s recovery. Specialty Programs in this multi-disciplinary clinic include Balance \& Falls (Safe Steps), Cancer Rehabilitation, Complex Spine, Concussion, Dry Needling, Gender-Affirming Rehab, Hand Therapy, Lymphedema, Stroke/Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury, Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders, Chronic Pain Management, Pelvic Health, Speech Therapy, Sports Medicine, Thoracic Outlet and Vestibular Therapy. Responsibilities: The Exercise Physiologist implements and supervises physical exercise programs for patients. Provides patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation. Plans and teaches exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen. Monitors patient's response and revises plan accordingly. Recognizes contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise. Responds appropriately to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals. Provides exercise information for patients, peers and the community which may include public speaking and education classes. Collaborates with physician regarding the exercise prescription for each patient. Maintains in-depth knowledge of monitoring and arrhythmia identification. Preparation of report on individual patient to appropriate physician. Appropriately charts progress in Medical Records. Maintains appropriate documentation of patient care. Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of the departmental equipment. Coordinate and submit DME orders, ensuring all required clinical documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner. Identify missing or incomplete documentation and proactively communicate with therapists to obtain needed information to prevent delays in garment delivery. Track and manage the status of all compression garment orders using Excel, Epic, or other data-tracking tools to maintain real-time visibility across the lymphatic program. Communicate regularly with patients regarding order status, expected timelines, barriers, and next steps, providing clear and compassionate customer service. Schedule and coordinate compression garment fitting appointments in collaboration with therapists and DME vendors. Maintain organized records for a large volume of patients and orders supporting a multi-site outpatient team of Certified Lymphedema Therapists. Answer general, non-clinical questions from patients regarding compression garments, ordering processes, and expectations, escalating clinical questions to therapists as appropriate. Support ongoing process improvement and efficiency in the compression garment workflow to improve patient access and reduce therapist administrative burden. Collect and organize data related to garment acquisition timelines, barriers, and outcomes to support quality improvement and reporting initiatives. Represent the lymphatic therapy team professionally and positively in all patient, vendor, and internal communications. ### Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates' or Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or business field preferred. + 1-2 years in medical or healthcare office; knowledge of healthcare terminology, insurance authorization, and benefits. + Proficiency in healthcare terminology and billing practices, experience with obtaining authorization and benefits + Bilingual (highly preferred) Required Skills \& Qualifications Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage many moving parts across multiple patients, therapists, and vendors.
