Location: 127 Public Square, Cleveland Ohio Job Summary The Lead Treasury Analyst is part of the Corporate Treasury team which is focused on the strategic management of the bank's fixed income and derivatives portfolios. This role involves developing expertise in asset/liability management philosophies, communicating financial market conditions to senior leadership, and collaborating across departments to shape strategies that align with risk appetite and balance sheet objectives. The analyst will conduct advanced research, modeling, and analysis of market opportunities, while monitoring portfolio performance and its impact on risk and accounting outcomes. Essential Functions * Strategically manage fixed income and derivatives portfolios. * Build knowledge in asset/liability management philosophies. * Communicate market conditions and strategic insights to senior management. * Collaborate across teams to develop and implement portfolio strategies. * Conduct in-depth research and modeling of financial market strategies. * Monitor portfolio positions and assess their impact on risk and accounting. * Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice * Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key. Education * Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience (preferred) * Master's Degree in Business administration or related field (preferred) Work Experience * 1+ years experience in fixed income, derivatives, wholesale funding, or capital markets transactions. (required) Licenses and Certifications * CFA certification (preferred) Skills * Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support strategic decisions through data. * Proficiency in ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle), reconciliation tools (e.g., BlackLine), data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), SQL, and Treasury Workstation systems (Bloomberg, Blackrock Aladdin, and Calypso). * Strong grasp of regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX) and ability to design and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks. * Ability to work across departments—Finance, Risk, IT, and Audit—to ensure alignment of treasury strategies with broader business goals and facilitate process improvements. * Mentoring junior analysts, delegating tasks, and fostering a high-performance culture. * Clear, persuasive communication tailored to both technical and executive audiences, including presenting findings, writing audit responses, and influencing strategic decisions. * Being a change agent—challenging the status quo, driving efficiency, and developing innovative solutions. * Skills in cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and short-term investment strategy. * Knowledge of KYC, SWIFT payments, and compliance protocols, especially in global treasury operations. * Creating and analyzing financial models to conduct scenario analysis, assess liquidity, and support treasury decision-making. Work Location Category * Hybrid (3+ days) Compensation And Benefits This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $63,000.00 - $96,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives. Your day at NTT DATA The Treasury Analyst is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for working within the broader Finance team and is responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data. This role typically works with a variety of different types of information, including but not limited to accounting records, market indicators, economic reports and more, and uses this information to make predictions about future events or trends. This role may also be tasked with presenting their findings in an easy-to-understand format that can be easily communicated to other business stakeholders. Key responsibilities: • Reviews financial statements and conducts research on accounting principles to ensure accuracy of company records. • Prepares financial reports such as profit and loss statements, cash flow analysis, and budgets for internal stakeholder use. • Responds to questions from relevant business stakeholders about company performance or industry trends. • Evaluates investment proposals to determine whether they meet an organizational goal. • Assists with various accounting tasks. • Recommends changes to accounting procedures / processes to improve efficiency. • Assists in the development and implementation of new financial policies and processes. • Performs research to identify potential investment opportunities or risks in different markets. To thrive in this role, you need to have: • Accounting skills to record and track financial transactions, prepare budgets, and analyze financial data. • Ability to interpret financial data and make predictions based on data. • Ability to communicate information to relevant stakeholders in a clear and understandable way (verbal and written). • Ability to analyze data to interpret and draw conclusions from large amounts of data. • Excellent problem-solving ability to enable finding solutions to complex problems. • Ability to work independently or within a team. • Ability to work under pressure to achieve project deadlines within the agreed timeframe(s). Academic qualifications and certifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, or another related field. • Relevant certification(s) such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) etc. Required experience: • Seasoned demonstrated experience in a similar role gained within a similar global information technology organization. • Demonstrable track record of involvement in innovation, design thinking, client and employee experience transformation.
