Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to lead exciting projects in the power sector. As an electrical power project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of electrical power projects helping customer use SEL products and engineering talent to make the grid safer, more reliable, and more efficient. At SEL, we believe ownership is essential to quality and as a Project Manager, you will lead project lifecycle from proposal development to project closeout and be involved in all aspects of the business. As a Project Manager, a typical day might include the following: * Possesses, understands and applies knowledge and experience of Project Manager who will lead full life-cycle project management of multiple large multi-discipline projects from proposal conception to commissioning and close-out. Effectively track and stabilize projects, implement solutions for obstacles and anticipate customer needs and related SEL products to complete complex assignments. * Lead in training and assisting customers with the creation, design configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems. * Lead in assigning, completing and implementing work within agreed upon scope, schedule and budget to a high level of quality and safety. * Assist in the identification, preparation and presentation of successful proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems. * Mentor and develop professional staff. May supervise as necessary. * Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. * Other duties as assigned. This job might be for you if: * B.S. In Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline * 5+ years relevant application experience with electric power systems, industry practices, and proposal practices and philosophies * Proven experience in project management, particularly in electrical power projects. * Knowledge \& understanding of electrical power systems, equipment, and industry standards. * Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines. * Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and analytically. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels. * Proficient in project management software and tools. About the Job Rubrik Professional Services is looking for a high-energy, strategic, and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise customer implementations and help shape the future of our delivery practice. In this role, you will be customer-facing, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure deployment success, business value realization, and operational efficiency. You will own high-stakes client engagements end-to-end, bringing deep project management expertise to solve problems on the ground and drive customer outcomes with minimal oversight. About You As a Senior Project Manager in our PS Organisation, you will drive impact primarily through hands-on delivery excellence, leadership, and practice enablement. 1. Client Delivery Excellence ● Drive Complex Engagements: Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, concurrent, enterprise-level customer projects from kickoff to sign-off within fast-paced environments. ● Scope & Milestone Management: Prepare enterprise customers for deployment, establish clear success criteria, track deliverables, set targets, manage resources, and ensure project execution adheres to deadlines and budgets. ● Risk & Issue Governance: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and technical dependencies, resolving issues autonomously before they escalate. ● Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the single point of contact and escalation owner for customer executives, cross-functional internal teams (Engineering, Customer Support, Sales), and third- party partners. ● Quality & Performance: Execute quality control throughout project lifecycles to ensure deliverables meet or exceed Rubrik's standards and customer business objectives. 2. PMO & Process Optimisation ● Partner with PS leadership to help build, refine, and maintain the PMO governance framework, including standard operating procedures, project methodologies, and key performance indicators. ● Continuous Improvement: Flag bottlenecks and recommend improvements that enhance operational efficiency, margins, and customer satisfaction. ● Assist in establishing best practices for your engagements, resource allocation, utilisation tracking, and project health reporting across the PS portfolio. Required Qualifications: ● 8+ years of direct Project Management experience delivering customer-facing, enterprise technical projects within a Professional Services or Consulting organization. ● Previous experience with managing customers from Financial Services, Government, Healthcare industries ● Track record of managing multiple complex, high-visibility client engagements concurrently in a fast-paced technology environment. ● Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercising strong judgment and decision-making in ambiguous, high-pressure customer situations. ● Expert knowledge of modern project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Asana) as well as Google Workspace. ● Fluent written and spoken German and English skill is a must. ● Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Good to Have Qualifications: ● Recognised credentials like Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, knowledge of Agile/Scrum (CSM, PMI-ACP), or Lean frameworks. ● Technical Background: Prior hands-on experience or foundational knowledge in Data Management, Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), Data Protection, Enterprise Storage, Cybersecurity, or SaaS delivery is a strong plus. ● Financial acumen regarding professional services metrics (e.g., revenue recognition, margin, utilization, project profitability). ● Experience contributing to PMO governance practices.
