Product Manager - Product and Lifecycle Lending

BOQ GroupBrisbane, Queensland, Australia

From $202/yr

About The Role As our Product Manager – Product and Lifecycle Lending, you’ll help shape the capability, performance and ongoing evolution of BOQ Group’s Home Loan portfolio across our Retail brands. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Product and Lifecycle Lending, you’ll contribute to product, retention and customer experience priorities that support sustainable portfolio performance, stronger customer outcomes and disciplined risk management. You’ll work across the full customer lifecycle, helping to simplify and optimise products, servicing journeys, processes and operational settings. Drawing on portfolio analytics, customer insights, market trends, competitor activity, complaints data and frontline feedback, you’ll identify emerging issues and opportunities for improvement. You’ll translate these insights into practical recommendations and support the delivery of product, lifecycle and simplification initiatives from analysis and requirements definition through to implementation, readiness and benefits tracking. Collaboration will be central to your success. You’ll partner across Distribution, Broker, Digital, Operations, Technology, Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Finance and Treasury to develop solutions that are customer-centred, commercially sound, compliant and operationally achievable. You’ll also support product governance and regulatory change, prepare clear recommendations and decision papers for senior stakeholders, and provide informal leadership across allocated initiatives by sharing knowledge, coordinating workstreams and keeping delivery focused. About You You bring product management experience, ideally gained within home lending, retail banking, financial services or another regulated environment. You may have worked across product management, lifecycle management, portfolio performance, product governance, customer outcomes or customer experience initiatives and are ready to broaden your impact across a multi-brand lending portfolio. Commercially minded and analytical, you can turn portfolio performance, customer behaviour, market insights and risk themes into clear recommendations and practical action. An understanding of Home Loan products, customer journeys and servicing environments across digital and legacy platforms would be valuable, along with experience contributing to product, process or customer journey improvements. You’re a confident relationship builder who can navigate a complex environment, bring diverse stakeholders together and constructively manage competing priorities, dependencies and risks. Your communication skills allow you to translate detailed information into compelling product documentation, governance papers, portfolio insights and presentations for a range of audiences. Most importantly, you’re curious, accountable and comfortable taking ownership. You bring sound judgement, strong attention to detail and the ability to keep work moving across multiple priorities while maintaining a clear focus on customers, commercial outcomes and responsible risk management. Product Manager

etrainuBrisbane City, Queensland, Australia

The Company etrainu is an established leader in online learning design, development, delivery and assessment founded in Australia. We deliver custom solutions to SME organisations domestically and internationally, and our customer-first approach is driving rapid growth in our SaaS products. We're leaning hard into AI, both in how we build and what we build, and the product team is at the centre of that shift. The Role We're hiring a Product Manager to own the product work for one of our product teams. This is a true PM role. You'll own your projects end-to-end: discovery, shaping, delivery, and go-live. You'll run real discovery with customers and data, work day to day with your EM, Staff Engineer, and Designer, and follow your work into the wild to make sure it lands. Shipping isn't enough. Winning is our customers using and getting value from what you build, and you'll be accountable for that outcome with your team. You'll report to the Head of Product, who'll stay close to your work on direction and the bigger priority calls, and you'll contribute alongside the wider Product group on decisions that cross teams. The role is based in Brisbane, with 2 days a week in our CBD office. Responsibilities * Own your team's projects end-to-end through discovery, shaping, delivery, and go-live. Sequence the work, prioritise, and communicate trade-offs clearly. * Build deep customer understanding. Advocate for our customers and their industry using qualitative and quantitative discovery. Lead with empathy, supported by data. * Drive solution discovery and delivery. Work closely with your Engineers and Designer to look beneath the status quo, using prototypes and experiments to shape great product experiences. * Ensure value and viability. Deliver real value for customers in a way that also works for the business, and make sure customers actually adopt and get value from what you ship. * Follow your work into the wild. Partner with Customer Success, Support, Sales and Marketing so what you ship is easy to sell, adopt and support, and drives the outcomes it was meant to. Measure it, learn from it, and iterate. * Work as a tight unit with your EM, Staff Engineer, and Designer. Bring the customer and business context, hold the quality bar together, and help the team run good discovery. * Balance concurrent streams of work within the team. Sequence the work and surface trade-offs early, working with your Head of Product when streams compete for attention. * Use AI fluently in your own workflow and bring AI thinking into what your team ships. Experiment as the tooling and product opportunities evolve. Experience * 3+ years as a Product Manager in B2B SaaS, with hands-on ownership of features or a product area from discovery through to launch. Title matters less to us than what you've owned. * Customer-facing experience. You’ve worked directly with customers - in discovery interviews and on projects you delivered for them - and turned what you heard into decisions that changed what got built. * Builder and executor. You can wear multiple hats: shape the how, create process, and roll up your sleeves to move things forward yourself. * Strong collaborator. You've worked day to day with engineers and designers, can hold a constructive debate on scope and approach, and communicate priorities and trade-offs clearly to Sales, Customer Success and Marketing. * Technically comfortable. You don’t need to write code, but you can follow a conversation about APIs, integrations and data flows, understand the trade-offs your engineers are weighing, and ask the questions that get to a good decision. * Delivered measurable outcomes. You've shipped work that moved a number – adoption, retention, revenue, efficiency – and can explain what changed and why. * Everyday AI user. You use AI in your own product work today (discovery synthesis, writing, analysis, prototyping) and it's changed how you work, not just what tools you list. * Domain background. LMS, EdTech, or compliance-focused SaaS experience is an advantage, as is having shipped AI into a product. About You * You've been the PM on work you're proud of, and you can tell the story of how and why. * You have a point of view. You push for what you think is right and change your mind when the evidence says you should. * Results-obsessed and biased towards action. Personal responsibility and sense of urgency come naturally. * Comfortable with ambiguity. You can take a loosely defined problem and shape it into something the team can act on, and you know when to pull others in. * Calm under pressure. When priorities shift or something breaks, you help the team hold shape rather than adding to the noise. * Growth mindset. You want to grow into a senior PM, you're hungry for feedback, and you're willing to be wrong along the way. * Genuinely curious about AI, both how it changes your own work and where it can improve the product.
