Purchasing and Inventory Manager

**Job Overview** As a Purchasing and Inventory Manager, you’ll keep materials moving and inventory aligned with production needs. You’ll lead purchasing, inventory control, and logistics activities, using data and cross\-functional communication to support reliable operations. Your impact: By coordinating demand planning, procurement, and production schedules, you help manufacturing teams access the materials they need and support timely delivery to customers. **Responsibilities** * Manage purchasing, procurement, supplier relationships, and materials management. * Oversee inventory management and control, warehouse coordination, and logistics inventory management. * Use demand planning and material requirements planning (MRP) to align supply with production planning and scheduling. * Monitor inventory data and spreadsheets; identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities to improve processes. * Partner across manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics teams to resolve material issues and support lean manufacturing practices. **Skills** * Experience in purchasing, inventory management, supplier management, and supply chain management; manufacturing company experience is preferred. * Familiarity with inventory management systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; SAP and Oracle E\-Business Suite (EBS) experience are relevant. * Knowledge of MRP, production planning, production scheduling, materials management, and logistics. * Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially spreadsheets. * Strong cross\-functional communication skills; warehouse experience and familiarity with lean manufacturing are helpful.
