About the role
A professional services organization seeking an experienced, hands\-on HR Manager to oversee the full employee lifecycle and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership.
**Key responsibilities:**
* Manage recruiting, onboarding, employee relations and offboarding.
* Oversee benefits administration, open enrollment and HR operations.
* Lead performance reviews and support compensation planning.
* Guide managers through sensitive employee matters.
* Maintain policies and ensure compliance with New Jersey and federal employment requirements.
**Ideal background:**
* 5\+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2\+ years as an HR Manager or lead generalist.
* Strong working knowledge of New Jersey employment law.
* Hands\-on experience with benefits, performance management, compensation and employee relations.
* Excellent judgment, discretion and communication skills.
* Professional services experience and HR certification are a plus.
