Substitute Teacher

Pacific Ridge School prepares students for college and a purposeful life. **Position Summary** A substitute teacher role will assume responsibility for a classroom and perform all the tasks of the absent teacher, such as keeping students in order, taking attendance, and executing the teacher’s lesson plan in their absence. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** (include, but are not limited to, the following) * Implement lesson plan of absent teacher * Take attendance * Gives clear instructions and helps students understand the lesson plan * Maintains control of the classroom * Fosters a safe and nurturing learning environment * Observes and follows school policies * Perform other duties as assigned **Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field * Prior classroom teaching or student\-teaching experience required
