Corporate Legal Advisor (PTA East)

About the Role A well-established national transport company with a diverse property portfolio is looking for a commercially minded attorney to join the business as its In-House Legal Advisor. You will provide practical legal advice across the company’s operating and property interests. We are looking for a bright, innovative thinker who approaches problems creatively and is committed to continuously expanding their knowledge. Key Responsibilities Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and contracts. Advising on general commercial law and consumer law compliance (Consumer Protection Act). Business and company structuring, including company and trust law matters. Property and real estate matters relating to the company’s portfolio. Managing legal disputes and liaising with external attorneys where required. Requirements BCom (Law) degree (essential) – candidates with only an LLB degree will not be considered. Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Minimum of 3 years’ post-admission experience. Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills. Experience in commercial, contract, consumer, company, trust and property law. Bilingual (English and Afrikaans). Valid driver’s licence.   Advantageous: Admission as a Conveyancer and/or Notary Public. Please note: Labour law experience is not required, but it is beneficial. Package & Remuneration R50 000 – R70 000 per month CTC (negotiable)
