Lawyer - Customer, Data and Technology

Our family of brands turns the IAG purpose of making your world a safer place into action by helping everyday Aussies and New Zealanders, supporting their* *ambitions* *and making insurance accessible.* In this role you will work closely with the business and provide commercially focused, fast paced legal advice in the key functional areas of: marketing/consumer law, privacy/spam, digital, technology and commercial contracting. **This is a 12 month max term opportunity based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne)** **What You'll Do** * Provide legal support for a broad range of exciting marketing, digital and growth\-related initiatives in support of IAG’s customer growth strategy, with mentoring and support from senior lawyers. * Establish deep and effective relationships with peers and business partners (including the digital and marketing teams) to understand their business drivers and strategic priorities. * Advise IAG, including monitoring legislative/regulatory changes and market best practice, in key functional areas * Provide high quality, strategic, pragmatic and commercially focused legal and governance advice to business partners and peers. **What You’ll Bring** * 4\+ years PQE, at top tier private practice or large listed companies. * Well\-developed legal skills (e.g. written and oral communication, advisory, drafting and negotiation). * Well\-developed knowledge in the areas of marketing/consumer law, privacy/spam and digital.
