Junior Commercial Attorney (KZN)

Commercial Attorney (Junior) \- 6 month contract Blueprint Legal – Africa \| Durban, KwaZulu\-Natal, South Africa Approximately 4–5 hours per week (20 hours monthly) Blueprint Legal – Africa is seeking a Junior Commercial Attorney to provide part\-time support across its corporate, commercial, property and project advisory matters. Key Responsibilities: \* Matter management: Maintain matter registers, track deadlines, outstanding documentation and follow\-ups. \* Preliminary legal reviews: Review commercial agreements, contracts and transaction documents, identifying key risks and issues. \* Legal drafting: Prepare initial drafts of agreements, correspondence, amendments and legal summaries. \* Legal research: Conduct focused research and prepare concise preliminary advisory notes. \* Transaction support: Assist with due diligence, document reviews and project\-related legal work. \* Reporting: Provide weekly updates on active matters, priorities and outstanding actions. Requirements: \* LLB qualification; admission as an attorney preferred. \* Strong commercial drafting, research and analytical skills. \* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. \* Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality. \* Proficiency in Microsoft Office. \* Fluent in isiZuku will be advantageous due to community related work Ideal for a junior legal professional seeking practical commercial and transactional experience alongside other commitments.
