Mechanical Engineer

**ROLE – Mechanical Engineer** **SALARY \- $100,000 \- $130,000 per annum, dependent on experience** **TYPE – Permanent** **LOCATION – Adelaide, SA** My client is a leading manufacturer operating within a highly regulated production environment. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Adelaide on a permanent basis. **The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:** * Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering or similar * At least 3 years of experience in a hands\-on Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or similar position * Experience within a pharmaceutical, chemical, food, medical device or similarly regulated manufacturing environment * Strong understanding of GMP requirements and regulated manufacturing environments * Experience working on capital projects from concept through to implementation * Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing or process optimisation * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and production systems * Experience with process validation, commissioning and qualification activities * Able to work both independently and collaboratively within cross\-functional teams **The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:** * Supporting the development, improvement and optimisation of manufacturing processes * Managing and supporting capital projects including equipment upgrades, installations and new production systems * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment and site machinery * Responding quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime * Assisting with the installation, commissioning and improvement of new machinery and equipment * Working other internal teams to implement process improvements * Developing and maintaining process documentation, procedures and work instructions * Analysing production data and identifying opportunities for process optimisation * Working with suppliers and contractors throughout capital projects and equipment installations * Supporting the introduction of new products, processes and manufacturing equipment If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
