**Financial Accountant – Balingen, Germany (m/w/d) – SchildDirect GmbH** *Do you enjoy bringing structure to financial processes and taking ownership of day\-to\-day accounting and administration?* *We are looking for a hands\-on and structured Financial Accountant to join our team in Balingen.* *Our German operation is an important part of an international group, with local production in Balingen and sales across Europe. We work with an external German finance and accounting partner and are looking for someone to coordinate the day\-to\-day work internally, ensure information is delivered on time and follow up on outsourced processes.* **About the role** This is a broad operational finance role combining ongoing accounting, financial follow\-up and selected employee administration. You will report to your manager in Sweden and work closely with the local team in Balingen, our external finance partner and the group finance team in Sweden, while helping improve routines and processes. **Your responsibilities will include:** * Managing daily accounting and financial administration, including bookkeeping, customer and supplier invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, bank transactions, payments, reconciliations and company expenses. * Overseeing financial reporting and follow\-up, including KPI reporting, cost monitoring, inventory and purchasing\-related accounting, intercompany transactions and month\-end and year\-end closing activities. * Coordinating payroll and employee administration, including time reporting, vacation and sick leave, employee documentation, onboarding and offboarding, and company car administration. * Acting as the main contact for our external finance and administration partner, ensuring smooth coordination of responsibilities, timely documentation and follow\-up, while continuously improving accounting and administrative processes. The precise division of responsibilities will be coordinated with our external partner. What matters most is that you are comfortable taking ownership, keeping activities on track and improving how the work gets done. **Who are we looking for?** We believe you have: * Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance administration or a similar broad operational finance role * Practical experience with bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations and recurring accounting processes * Good knowledge of accounting systems and Excel * Professional working proficiency in English * The ability to work independently, manage details and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders Experience working with an outsourced payroll or finance partner is an advantage. Experience in a production business or international group is also valuable. **As a person** You are structured, reliable and detail\-oriented. You are comfortable collaborating with colleagues in Germany and Sweden and with external partners. You do not need to have all the answers from day one.
