Data Analyst

**Data Analyst** **Grade 7 \- Sydney** **About the Opportunity** The Data Analyst will assist be accountable for translating data sets and other information into a form that can be easily used to support strategic and other plans and illustrate progress in realising benefits from strategies. **Key Responsibilities** * Support members of the team through the translation of business requirements into insights and reports. * Support internal/ external data requests using business intelligence tools, stored procedures and functions to ensure reusability and performance * Provide technical support to team members through detailed data analysis, ensuring high\-quality information is provided to stakeholders * Develop visualisations and other graphics, maintain quality documentation of analysis, methodology and findings to ensure the provision of insightful, easy to understand reporting * Undertake the development of the data sets and reports, review and report on any changes to data specifications for use within the Branch * Use a variety of technology solutions to extract and analyse data to generate business information from various data sources * Assist the Team by responding to ad hoc queries based on the data sets available. **Essential Skills and Experience** * Working with a complex set of diverse data across multiple systems * Exercising precision to minimise the risk of system issues that may impact on business continuity * Conducting detailed analysis using branch data to ensure a clear and comprehensive understanding of issues * Demonstrated understanding of data analytics and specifications and their application. * Experience in the maintenance and application of computerised database, including analytical/statistic software packages. * Experience using BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos, or SAP Business Objects to generate business information. **What’s on Offer** * Sydney\-based opportunity. * Exposure to significant transport infrastructure, road maintenance and organisational resilience initiatives. **How to Apply** For a confidential discussion, contact: **George Wright** Recruitment Consultant **Email:** georgew@whizdom.com.au **Phone:** 0480 011 549
