Physical Therapist — Sports \& Performance Rehabilitation McLean, VA | Full-Time | Private Practice $85,000 – $120,000 Base+ | Athletic Population | Return-to-Sport Focus For Clinicians Who Speak Athlete Your patients don't want to "feel better." They want to run faster, lift heavier, compete again. They have race dates, season openers, and personal records they're chasing. And they need a PT who understands the difference between pain-free and performance-ready. This role is for clinicians who want to specialize in getting athletes back to sport — not just back to daily activities. You'll work with competitive and recreational athletes across the performance spectrum, from high school runners to masters triathletes to CrossFit competitors. What You Get 6-figures+ total compensation for the right candidate 1:1 patient care — 30-minute treatment sessions, 10-12 patients per day Sports-focused caseload — build your niche Extensive mentorship with practicing owners (3+ hours/week in your first months) Support for sports-specific continuing education (CSCS, SFG, sport-specific certs) $1,500/year continuing education allowance Full benefits: medical, dental, vision after first full month 401(k) with 4% match, 100% vested Short-term/long-term disability and life insurance — paid by AKPT 13 PTO days + 9 paid holidays Bi-annual performance bonuses The Role You'll build a caseload focused on athletes and active individuals who need return-to-sport programming, not just return-to-function. This means: Developing sport-specific rehab progressions that bridge the gap from PT to performance Working with athletes on load management, training modifications, and injury prevention Collaborating with coaches, trainers, and other providers in the athlete's ecosystem Building referral relationships with sports medicine physicians and athletic programs Contributing to our sports performance programming and protocols We'll support you in building this niche — but you need to own it. Who We're Looking For Licensed PT in Virginia (or license-eligible) Strong orthopedic foundation with sports rehabilitation experience Personal background in athletics or training — you understand the athlete mindset Interest in strength \& conditioning principles and their application to rehab Sports-specific certifications (SCS, CSCS, etc.) preferred but not required Coachable — our mentorship only works if you want to learn Team-first attitude — small practice, big culture expectations About Our Clinics We're a two-clinic private practice in Northern Virginia (McLean and Falls Church) founded by practicing clinicians. No private equity. No corporate overhead. No Medicare. Our patient population is already active and athletic — we're looking for someone who can take our sports rehab offering to the next level. Our clinical approach combines manual therapy with evidence-based exercise prescription. If you want to work with athletes, have time to program properly, and build something meaningful, you'll fit in here. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $121,209.65 per year Benefits: 401(k) Continuing education credits Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
