Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Electrical Engineering Manager to join our High Speed IO Connectorsteam located in Etters, PA. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Electrical Engineering Manager will help lead the high speedI/O connector assembly design team and drive significant engineering impact in state-of-the-art datacenter, cloud, 5G, storage, enterprise I/O applications, with digital communication technologies and data rates currently charted up to 224Gbps/lane. Communicating and working with customers and internal product managers to understand product requirements/performance specifications and convert those into new product designs, production tooling, manufacturing processes, qualification testing, and the transfer to volume production sites Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of engineering tasks for engineers within the group Developing and driving product and technology roadmaps and communicating to customers Overseeing and mentoring engineering team, providing needed training and working with team members to grow within the organization Coordinating with peers and other engineering managers within the organization to share best practices Sharing knowledge and pursuing continuous improvement in methods and workflows Mentoring the engineering team to help each person grow in skills and communication Providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with high-speed data transmission requirements; identifying and resolving signal integrity issues Supporting Sales and Applications Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise Supporting global factories for ramping up production; advising methods and experiments of builds, measurements, establishing test limits QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Masters degree preferred Experience in Engineering Management, ideally within a Signal Integrity group Experience with engineering simulation and analysis tools, such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave Experience with engineering measurements and debugging, such as TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors Experience in component design and application of high-speed cables/connectors into communications equipment is a plus SKILLS: Strong facilitation and team-building skills; the ability to integrate the needs \& skills of many functional disciplines to achieve a positive outcome Attention to detail while maintaining perspective on top-level goals Ability to prioritize work to meet objectives and to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Ability to articulate, outline, and follow a development process Amphenol Corporation is proud of our reputation as an excellent employer. RESPONSIBILITIES: As Operations Project Manager, you will be responsible for overall profitable capacity management including productivity, supply chain, lead-time, cost reduction and quality assurance through the implementation of effective strategies, methods, practices and adaptability. You need to manage the big picture and identify potential problems and points of friction and find solutions to maximize efficiency and revenue.
