Business Analyst

Business Analyst Wakefield (Hybrid Working - 2-3 Days per Week in the Office) Are you a proactive Business Analyst who enjoys turning ideas into practical solutions? About the Role As a Business Analyst, you'll act as the bridge between business needs and delivery teams, working closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, Technology teams and operational stakeholders to ensure change is clearly defined, understood and delivered successfully. You'll play a key role in understanding how work happens across the claims lifecycle, identifying opportunities for improvement and translating requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria that enable successful delivery. What You'll Be Doing * Gathering, analysing and documenting business, user and non-functional requirements. * Writing clear user stories and testable acceptance criteria. * Supporting discovery activities to understand business challenges and identify solutions. * Mapping current and future state processes and user journeys. * Using data and management information to support decision-making and prioritisation. * Working closely with development and testing teams to ensure requirements are understood. * Supporting user acceptance testing and release readiness activities. * Facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions to drive decisions and outcomes. * Identifying risks, dependencies and opportunities for continuous improvement. About You You'll have: * Previous experience working as a Business Analyst. * Strong requirements gathering and user story writing skills. * Experience working within Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban. * Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. * The ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Desirable * Experience within legal services, insurance, claims or another regulated environment. * Understanding of personal injury or portal-based claims processes. * A recognised Business Analysis qualification. * Experience using Excel, SQL, Power BI or similar data analysis tools. * Exposure to automation, workflow or AI-driven change initiatives. About the Role As a Business Analyst, you’ll work either independently or alongside a Project Manager depending on project scale delivering business-critical initiatives across the company. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to understand end-to-end processes and help deliver effective, systems-based solutions. Key Responsibilities * Analyse, map, and improve end-to-end business processes * Manage small projects * Gather and prioritise business requirements across departments * Work closely with IT to define and deliver effective systems solutions * Communicate clearly through presentations, emails, and stakeholder meetings * Collaborate with business users to ensure solutions meet expectations About You You’re an experienced Business Analyst and someone who’s methodical, curious, and an excellent communicator. You enjoy getting into the details of how systems work, translating business needs into actionable insights, and making a real impact across an organisation.
