Position Description ------------------------ We are seeking a strategic and operationally focused Product Line Director to lead our Commercial Vehicle Thermal Management Systems portfolio at the corporate and global level. This role is critical in maintaining and optimizing our product line during a period of market softness, ensuring readiness for future growth while delivering on current commitments. The Director will hold full P\&L ownership, lead program management, and drive cross-functional alignment across global teams. This role will own the Product Lifecyle Management - overseeing products from conceptualization to end-of-life, developing and implementing product strategies, monitoring performance, managing product data and documentation, coordinating cross-functional teams (marketing, engineering, sales), conducting market research, ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying and mitigating risks, and driving continuous improvement for profitability and market success. Key Responsibilities ------------------------ Lead the global product line strategy with a focus on maintaining performance, optimizing cost, and preparing for future market recovery. Own and manage the product line’s P\&L, ensuring profitability, cost control, and disciplined investment. Oversee program management for key customer initiatives, ensuring delivery excellence across scope, schedule, and budget. Collaborate closely with the Powertrain Product Line Director and cross-functional team- including operations, supply chain, and commercial leadership to ensure product reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency across the commercial vehicle portfolio. Support strategic initiatives including production transfers, tariff mitigation, and portfolio rationalization. Drive safety-first culture across all programs and operations, including active leadership in safety walks and standards reinforcement. Monitor and manage working capital metrics including inventory, receivables, and payables to support financial discipline. Represent the product line in executive reviews, strategic planning sessions, and customer engagements. Required Education \& Qualifications ---------------------------------------- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree strongly preferred. 10+ years of experience in product line leadership, program management, or strategic operations within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry. Value-driven leader with the demonstrated ability to inspire teams through clear communication, empathy and integrity. Experience leading through ambiguity and change while empowering teams and promoting accountability Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and executive communication skills. Experience with electrification, zero-emission platforms, and global customer engagement. Proven success in managing global P\&L and leading cross-functional teams across regions preferred. Position Description ------------------------ The Senior Electrical Engineer reports to the Engineering Supervisor for the Data Center colocation sub-vertical. She/he works within the Engineering Department to design, develop, and document electrical designs within the scope of products manufactured by the Data Center team. This position will be responsible for the development and transfer of technology including but not limited to documentation of products that span across Climate Solution Regions (Americas, EMEA, and Asia). Key Responsibilities ------------------------ Design and maintain proprietary electrical design systems for data center cooling products. Creation of electrical wiring schematics, panel/terminal layout drawings and wire loom documentation. Participate in design meetings and communicate with the project coordinator, design team members, and application engineers. Coordinates the panel-build and line wiring for prototype and production units with internal or external employees. Diligently consider all aspects of product operation in the design of an electrical/control system, including product compliance, product enhancements and safety-related issues. Incumbent has contact with project engineers, project coordinators, plant engineers, operations personnel, component/equipment suppliers, fellow control engineers, etc. Liaise with both project leadership and mechanical engineering personnel to create structured product configurable super BOMs for placement of selected electrical and control parts. Instructs, explains, leads design group relating to the controls and electrical design of the product. Exposed, but not limited to, the following areas: AC drive applications – pumps and EC motors, power distribution, switchgear, sensors and transducers. Coordinates aspects of a given project which include project scheduling to meet project dates, purchasing components, evaluating new products, preparing manuals, and maintaining a project design file for permanent records. Continually enhance skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and external seminars. Stay abreast of new developments in electrical design and apply that knowledge towards the technical enhancement of Modine machinery and processes. Required Education \& Qualifications ---------------------------------------- College graduate in electrical engineering or related technical discipline with 5 – 10 years engineering experience, or a master’s degree in engineering, a related technical discipline, or business, in lieu of experience. Knowledge and application of applicable electrical codes; NEC, UL (UL1995, UL60335, UL508A), IEC and CE. UL508A Panel Build experience preferred. Obtain/maintain UL508A MTR Certification. Experience in electrical design of data center cooling equipment preferred. Some experience/knowledge of PLC controllers, RS-232/RS-485 interface, and Modbus Protocol preferred. Well versed in MS Office Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent. Must be able to travel to suppliers, and job sites as necessary (15-20%). Why Choose Modine?
