Software Engineer

Performance Platform team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to building and maintaining our simulation platform. In this role, you will implement well-defined software solutions, write thorough tests, and support the features you deliver in production. You will work closely with your team and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality software that our customers depend on daily. Responsibilities Implement well-defined software solutions based on technical designs provided by senior engineers Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and correctness Support and maintain features post-launch, including investigating and resolving production issues Participate in code reviews — both submitting and reviewing peer code Contribute to operational excellence through on-call rotations, runbook creation, and monitoring Collaborate with teammates and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver on commitments Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 1+ year(s) of professional software development experience in Java Experience writing clean, testable, and maintainable code Familiarity with object-oriented design principles Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS services (e.g., DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch) Experience with distributed systems or microservices architecture Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, DynamoDB) Exposure to simulation or modeling systems * Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
