In addition to ensuring the workspace and manufacturing facilities operate seamlessly, this group also provides employee and site services, such as cafeteria, transportation, security, and safety. The team is responsible for all construction and site improvement work to enable the business needs as well as align with the financial requirements. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications KLA’s global environmental, health, safety and Security (EHSS) organization is driven to be a partner to leadership in support of the company’s efforts to achieve its strategic growth, customer and operating objectives and lead KLA to world class EHS performance. Our mission is to lead and enable the business and leverage EHS talents to achieve short and long-term business objectives. Our primary areas of strategic focus include of reducing risks to our employees, eliminating serious injuries, reducing wastes, integration of EHS management systems. The person in this role will: Provide day to day EHS support for operation based in Newport and field service support for customer sites located in the UK (across 3 Newport sites) \& Ireland Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and training. Partner with and lead managers, supervisors, and team leaders in incident investigations, corrective action deployment, and effectiveness evaluations. Support the development and implementation the site level requirements for our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs where applicable. Conduct periodic audits related to the EHS management systems, compliance, and company policy/procedure conformance. Be the EHS subject matter expert for the locations you support with excellent customer service. Carry out analysis of EHS performance metrics, trends and respond in a proactive matter to prevent or minimize EHS incidents. Monitor safety performance and report findings to the site management teams. Support operational teams with department risk assessments and operating procedures. Support the role of out proactive safety programs e.g. GEMBA, safety tours and inspections. Provide support to our ESG efforts for the sites under your remit. Keep current on regulatory trends and provide updates to site management. Provide manager with expert advice and guidance in health, safety, and environmental management. Work closely with the regional EHS manager to implement corporate safety programs. Skills and Qualifications required All applicants must hold a valid NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent to be considered for this role Strong analytical skills to review safety data and KPI's Excellent communication skills to deliver safety training, induction and toolbox talks Ability to work cross functionally and across our customer sites with the ability to act with professionalism, integrity and diplomacy championing KLA values Relevant experience gained in a structured / corporate experience Being competent to present at Senior Management level Demonstrates conscious, sensible and business focused sound decision making Proven experience of reporting safety performance What we will offer you? Job Description/Preferred Qualifications We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Environmental Compliance Engineer to ensure compliance with environmental regulations for tools, spare parts, packaging, and chemical substances across all KLA divisions, including legacy tools and new acquisitions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, IT, legal, supply chain, customer experience, and others to support our dedication to environmental sustainability! Key Responsibilities: Support material compliance evaluations across KLA Analyze Bills of Materials ensure we are aligned with regulations. Perform “where used” analysis of identified parts in enterprise systems such as SAP, Enovia. Evaluate and respond to supplier feedback from surveys. Track and close out open issues with suppliers, customers, or internal partners. Work on Regulatory and customer reporting requirements Prepare technical reports detailing chemical substances present in parts and products for various material compliance regulation such as REACH, RoHS, POP, TSCA, SCIP. Research supplier compliance information on REACH, RoHS, etc. Find and evaluate Safety Data Sheets for environmental compliance information Build and submit SCIP dossiers for compliance with the Waste Framework Directive. Support KLA's efforts to ensure compliance with current, upcoming and proposed Environmental regulations such as Battery Regulation , Digital Product Passport including gap assessment, tooling and execution timelines Accountable for end to end material compliance programs, from regulatory interpretation through execution and audit readiness. Program Development and Data Analysis: Design systems for recordkeeping and reporting of environmental compliance data. Integrate data into Enovia to run “where used” analyses and identify impacted parts as new materials transition from a watch list to a restricted list. Define, own and report program KPI's to measure compliance coverage, supplier responsiveness, audit readiness and regulatory risk within scope of assigned programs Take ownership and manage regulatory compliance programs within KLA to support our Global regulatory compliance reporting programs Additional Responsibilities: Collect companywide shipment data and Generate compliance labels and templates, Declarations of Conformity Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with enterprise systems including SAP, Enovia, eQuality. Planning and coordinating parts to perform the required configuration Supporting R\&D Engineers for new part introductions Solving problems on a priority basis Assisting in the installation and start-up of new equipment Providing Breathing Apparatus (BA) / Emergency Response Team (ERT) support Follow safe operating practices in the clean room As part of the Technician team, sharing responsibility for planning and completing safe work plans on sophisticated systems containing varied energy sources and toxic gases, together with the relevant risk as required Contributing to the continual improvement of our already excellent safety record Maintain records/documentation relating to work carried out and parts inventory. Clear communication with a variety of stake holders at varying levels. Implementing service and safety bulletins, procedures, reports and engineering drawings.
