Position: Mechanical Engineer Location: Nashua, NH Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our High Speed Engineering team. The position will be located in Nashua, NH. RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Mechanical Engineer on the HSIO Products team you willsupport to the design, development and selection of basic hardware components utilizing fundamental mechanical engineering principles, theories and techniques. Assigned duties may include: Design and development of specific elements of High-Speed IO Interconnect and Cable devices or components to meet specified design requirements. May receive direction from senior engineering staff and may be responsible to provide direction to drafting. Perform Mechanical Analyses- Obtain working knowledge of company standard analysis tools. Perform basic static, dynamic and heat transfer analyses of mechanical structures, when required. Compile data for investigation by senior mechanical engineering personnel. Participate in design reviews. Support Verification/Validation of Design- Support the fabrication and environmental testing of High-Speed IO Interconnect devices. Assist in the design and fabrication of prototype hardware. Support the environmental testing of hardware including vibration, shock, thermal, fatigue and others as required. Document results for review by senior engineering personnel. Prepare Documentation- Generate and review the technical content of drawings, engineering specifications, reports and other documentation associated with the mechanical design. Generate and present design review packages for internal and external audiences. Support Continuous Improvement- Conduct failure analysis of product returned from field and qualification failures. Lead customization efforts on assigned product lines when required. Lead sustainment efforts on assigned product lines- Provide Mechanical Engineering support to products in production. Manage material issues, perform root cause assessments of discovered issues. perform analysis as required to verify validity of proposed solutions. QUALIFICATIONS: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) 3-5 years of electromechanical product design/support experience Strong Mechanical Aptitude Familiarity with Structural and Thermal FEA software and capability. Grasp of basic electrical theory. Ability to support design and development of hardware to ensure requirements compliance Ability to read mechanical drawings and perform tolerance assessments. Experience with ASME Y-14.5 is a definite plus. Ability to perform basic mechanical analysis to ensure good design. Proficiency with Solidworks 2018 or higher Ability to conduct experimentation and basic testing. Familiarity with basic measurement tools and multimeters. * Good communication skills and organizational skills

We develop and manufacture gigabit copper cable solutions for high performance and cloud compute applications. We are currently seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team in Nashua, NH. RESPONSIBILITIES: This position communicates, coordinates with customers, plans and completes signal integrity focused projects from design to validation to production ramp. The successful candidate will be able to manage and provide real-time technical leadership in a complex, dynamic environment Serve as the 'architect' for signal integrity capability and competencies for Spectra-Strip Community Engage with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers on SI topics Figures out resource requirements and communicates to management with appropriate justification Identifies and overcomes obstacles and pro-actively plans creative and effective mitigation Design, simulation, characterization, and application of high-speed electrical cables Provide solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high-speed data transmission requirements, identifying and resolving signal Integrity issues at any phase of product life cycle Communicate signal integrity concepts to a wide range of audiences in the factory and in interactions with customers Apply PLM rules for revision control, change management and communication of SI modeling QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field and 2+ years of current experience in interconnect signal integrity measurement and/or simulation Strong understanding of electro-magnetic principles for digital signal integrity Experience with signal integrity and electro-magnetic simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave. Experience with MATLAB, ADS, and HSPICE is a plus Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methods Experience in component design and application of high-speed cables/connectors Mechanical aptitude * Project management experience a plus
