Job Title: Land Development Paralegal (In-House)Position SummaryThe Land Development Paralegal provides in-house legal and project support for land acquisition, development, and related litigation matters. This role partners closely with the Lead Attorney, Chief Legal Officer, Project Managers, and other paralegals to manage contracts, track deadlines, coordinate legal requests, and support the closing process across multiple active development projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, developer-driven environment. Key ResponsibilitiesLand Acquisition \& Contract Support Assist with purchase and sale agreements, amendments, extensions, and the closing process Support contract review and execution workflows under attorney supervision Track contract deadlines, deliverables, contingencies, extensions, and closing requirements Maintain complete and organized transaction files from contract execution through closing In-House Legal Coordination Coordinate with the Lead Attorney, Chief Legal Officer, and other paralegals on development and litigation-related matters Support legal requests from Project Managers, including document coordination, deadline tracking, and follow-up Serve as a liaison between legal, development, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely responses and issue resolution Due Diligence \& Development Support Coordinate and organize due diligence materials, including title, survey, environmental reports, and zoning information Track due diligence milestones and outstanding items Maintain clear documentation and summaries for legal and development teams Project \& Deadline Management Track legal and development tasks using Microsoft Planner, including assignments, deadlines, and status updates Maintain contract, due diligence, and closing trackers to ensure visibility across teams Proactively flag upcoming deadlines, risks, and missing deliverables Legal \& Contract Administration Draft and review routine legal documents and correspondence under attorney supervision Manage document circulation, execution, and version control Maintain organized digital and physical files, including executed agreements and recorded documents Closing \& Post-Closing Support Assist with closing coordination, including document execution, recording coordination, and checklist management Support post-closing obligations and document retention Qualifications \& Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred 3+ years of experience supporting real estate, land acquisition, or development projects Experience in an in-house legal department or working directly with a real estate developer strongly preferred Familiarity with purchase and sale agreements, amendments, and closing workflows Skills \& Competencies Proficiency with Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Strong organizational, document management, and deadline-tracking skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting development-related litigation or dispute matters Understanding of land development workflows and cross-functional coordination Comfort working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial in-house environment Work Environment Office-based, collaborative in-house role supporting legal and development teams Interaction with executive leadership, project managers, and outside counsel Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
