Are you living your life's work? Part-time/20 Hours Per Week/Tuition Assistance POSITION SUMMARY: Design, direct, supervise, prescribe and adjust the exercise program of clients. Provide a safe and appropriate exercise prescription. Maintain the exercise equipment in the facility. Client care includes care to clients in the following age groups: adult (19 through 64 years) and geriatric (65 years and above). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Supervises and monitors exercise sessions to ensure safety, regular increases in load, and assess for signs of overworking/under working. Adjusts exercise regimen as needed to achieve exercise benefits and meet established goals. * Provides exercise instructions related to proper technique for warm-up, cool-down, stretching, strength training, and use of equipment. * Instructs individuals and/or groups in exercise principles, benefits and guidelines for exercise programs. * Performs personal wellness profiles and assist with goal setting for lifestyle change. * Develops individualized exercise programs in collaboration with primary physician as needed. * Calculates target heart rates and teaches individuals how to take their pulse. * Maintains facilities and exercise equipment ensuring functionality and cleanliness. Oversees repair and maintenance scheduling. * Performs post percent-of-body-fat analysis and evaluates food diaries as needed. * Performs basic housekeeping, supply, and maintenance functions. * Meets requirements for customer service standards and quality standards. * Assists with evaluation of the department and training needs of the facility and/or staff. * Assists with promotion and/or coordination of programs including Healthy Heart, Walking Club, LEARN program/weight management, Health Fairs and LiveWell events as applicable. * Coordinates and oversees Exercise Physiology internships. * Collects outpatient program data quarterly. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Req Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field. * Pref Master's Degree Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology issued by an accredited university or college. * Pref 0-1 years One (1) year experience working and/or directing health/wellness program. * Pref 0-1 years One (1) year experience working with related client group * 0-1 years One (1) year telemetry monitor skills. * Basic Life Support certification is required for this position. * Certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Job Requirements Education High School Diploma required Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required Work Experience Experience in a clinical setting preferred Required Licenses/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA). American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law). Essential Functions Responsible for x-ray services as needed Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use. May need to push patient in a wheelchair Patient Preparation and Rooming Inform technical staff of patient flow. Prepare patients for examination, which includes conducting interviews to verify patient information, record medical history; confirm purpose of visit; Perform preliminary physical test (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalate critical cases to provider as needed. Conduct point of care testing as needed (i.e., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG); and provide patient information to provider. Administrative Responsible for maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files. Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up on care Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed Other responsibilities include Medical Team Support: Collaborate with the ordering/treating Provider to determine which procedures or views will best assist in accurate diagnoses and treatment. Support clinic operations to keep the center running smoothly. Patient Care: Explaining procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety, and answering their questions. Patient Positioning: Accurately positioning patients and equipment for optimal imaging results. Image Production: Selecting proper ionizing factors by adjusting/setting radiographic controls to capture clear, high-quality diagnostic images Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance, cleaning of X-ray equipment, and managing necessary supplies. Radiation Safety: Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and implementing ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) to minimize exposure to patients and staff. Documentation: Maintaining accurate patient records and logging completed procedures in electronic systems and/or logbooks as required. Image Management: Verifying image quality and ensuring images are sent to radiologists for interpretation. Knowledge Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols.
