Marketing Manager

Brightside CollectiveGold Coast, Queensland, Australia

From $18/yr

If you’ve ever thought, “I want to work somewhere that’s actually going somewhere” then keep reading. This is one of those companies that’s not just growing, it’s moving. Headcount has nearly tripled in the past 18 months. New events are launching. Audiences are scaling. The pace is real, the standards are high, and the work matters. This client operates in the events and exhibitions space, building large-scale industry events that bring together the people who actually shape markets. Think decision-makers, operators, founders, buyers. Real rooms, real energy, and real impact. And now? They need a Marketing Manager who can keep up. The role This is not a “press send on a few EDMs and call it a day” situation. You’ll be running full-scale, integrated campaigns across a portfolio of major B2B events. You’ll own it from strategy through to execution, and you’ll actually see the results in real time. Registrations going up. Rooms filling. Campaigns landing. No two weeks look the same. You’ll be planning, executing, reviewing performance, working with sales and event teams, briefing creative, solving problems and constantly looking for ways to drive better results. If you like being close to the action and having your work actually drive outcomes, this is your lane. What you’ll be doing You’re across the whole journey, not just one piece of it. You’ll be building campaigns that make people actually want to show up, running multi-channel activity across email, digital, social, content and partnerships, owning messaging, positioning and campaign direction, driving audience growth and database expansion, working closely with sales to support exhibitor demand and lead gen, collaborating with agencies, partners and internal teams to bring campaigns to life. And you’ll be staying close to the numbers, tracking performance and optimising as you go, showing up at live events and seeing your work in action, and leading and supporting a Marketing Coordinator day-to-day, lifting capability and keeping momentum across a busy portfolio. About you You don’t need hand-holding. You like being trusted. You like moving quickly. You like seeing outcomes. You also don’t sit back and wait to be told what to do. You take ownership, you think ahead and you’re comfortable challenging ideas when needed. You’ll probably bring experience in events, exhibitions or fast-paced B2B marketing, strong digital skills across email, social and web, a commercial and data-led mindset where you don’t just run campaigns, you improve them, confidence working across both strategy and execution, strong communication skills where you can work a room and a Slack channel, and energy, ownership and a “I’ll figure it out” mindset. Bonus points if you’ve been part of a scaling team and frothed it. Why this role hits different Timing. You’re joining while things are building, not after it’s all been done. That means more ownership, more visibility and more opportunity to shape how things are done. The business is in a strong growth phase, launching new events, scaling audiences, improving systems and continuing to expand nationally across multiple brands. It’s fast, it’s evolving, and it’s full of people who care about doing great work. The perks Hybrid working with typically three days in the office. Gold Coast or Sydney based. Travel across NSW, VIC and QLD to support events. A genuinely social and down-to-earth team. Big events, big campaigns and real impact. Career growth as the business continues to scale. From $10/yr

About The Opportunity CE Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Smart Solutions team, supporting projects across water and wastewater, mining and industrial facilities—including manufacturing plants, abattoirs and food processing operations. This role suits a practical engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working with site teams and seeing projects through to completion. What You’ll Be Doing * Review project scopes, specifications and drawings, identifying design gaps, technical interfaces and construction constraints. * Prepare and coordinate electrical and instrumentation documentation, including IFC packages, equipment schedules and technical submissions. * Support procurement through material take-offs, technical scopes and reviews of supplier documentation. * Resolve technical queries and provide engineering support to supervisors, subcontractors and installation teams. * Help coordinate shutdowns, cutovers and plant upgrades within operating facilities, considering production schedules and continuity of services. * Maintain inspection and test plans, quality records and engineering registers. * Support commissioning, capture site changes and coordinate accurate as-built drawings and handover documentation. * Track deliverables, flag cost and programme risks, and support scope changes with clear technical records. What you’ll bring * A degree in Electrical Engineering. * Electrical project engineering or delivery experience in water, wastewater, mining, industrial or comparable environments. * Practical knowledge of electrical distribution, motor control, instrumentation and control systems. * Experience coordinating engineering documentation, procurement and construction interfaces. * A sound understanding of QA, testing, commissioning and project handover requirements. * The ability to interpret drawings, apply relevant Australian Standards and communicate clearly with clients and site teams. * Good organisation, attention to detail and the confidence to manage assigned work with limited supervision. Experience with manufacturing plants, abattoirs, food processing facilities, treatment plants, pumping stations or mining process facilities will be highly regarded. Exposure to PLC, SCADA and RTU systems is also valuable. Experience across every sector is not required—we’re interested in strong project engineering capability and transferable experience. What’s On Offer * A permanent full-time role within CE Group’s Smart Solutions team. * A varied mix of electrical and instrumentation projects across multiple sectors. * Responsibility across the project lifecycle, from design development to final handover. * Close collaboration with project managers, engineers, automation specialists and site teams. * A Yatala base, with work-from-home arrangements by agreement and attendance at project sites and supplier facilities as required. Apply If you’re looking for a role where you can combine technical engineering with practical project delivery, we’d like to hear from you.
