This position is key to achieving sustainable growth for the company.Job Description: This is a fully on-site position and must be performed from our Santa Fe Springs, California office. Job Responsibilities: * Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute strategic plans that leverage technological and financial opportunities to enhance operations within the largest and most complex distribution facilities. Present assumptions and recommend objectives to align with corporate goals. * Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of warehousing and distribution operations, including advanced mechanical systems, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Manage intricate employee relations to foster a positive and collaborative work environment. * Leadership and Team Development: Provide vision and leadership to the departmental team, encouraging ownership innovation and excellence. Coordinate efforts across various functional areas to achieve strategic objectives and drive business growth. * Process Improvement: Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in quality, customer service, safety, productivity, and cost reduction. Implement best practices to optimize operations and meet logistic demands. * Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage the annual budget, control costs, and maximize asset utilization. Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives. * Complex Systems Management: Direct the maintenance and enhancement of advanced mechanical systems within the distribution facilities. Ensure systems are optimized for operational needs and support sustainable growth. * Employee Relations: Navigate complex employee relations within a union environment, ensuring compliance with policies and fostering a collaborative workplace culture. * Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience * Minimum of 10 years of experience of management and leadership in a large warehouse and distribution environment with intricate employee relations, high volume and advance warehouse mechanical systems * Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software * Must be a results-oriented professional with transparent and constructive verbal/written communication skills * Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines * Proven Motivator, Communicator, and Uniter who fosters and inspires a trusting and collaborative environment that unites team members with a shared sense of purpose to achieve the vision * Analytical and Reporting skills * Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and silos and with Sr. level local and corporate leadership * Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment Preferred Qualifications: * Strong business acumen and organizational skills * Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems * Working knowledge of Distribution routing software, preferably Roadnet * Experience managing a union environment * Experience with conveyor/sortation equipment Physical Requirements: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to remain in a stationary position at times; communicate, and operate a computer and telephone Competencies: * People management responsibility for pay reviews, performance management, training, and resource planning. * Requires conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications, where sufficient information may not be available. All AltaMed Physician Residents in an ACGME-accredited training program are employees of AltaMed Health Services and must abide by AltaMed’s policies and procedures.
