Read more here. Strategy \& Operations team The Strategy \& Operations team is in the COO office of Wintermute, tasked with scaling the company to its very ambitious milestones. Your role will be very varied and cross-functional. You will report to the COO and will be co-designing, owning and implementing strategic initiatives as well as building the core business functions for scale. Expect to be very practical and hands-on! Implement automation tools and data analytics dashboards to inform decision-making processes * Talent operations: Work on employer marketing, support certain talent searches, help develop internal training programs to support employee functional knowledge and professional growth * Operations : Deliver the operations behind a variety of multi-disciplinary processes * Commercial : Be able to review commercial agreements as needed, negotiate and manage external suppliers and advisors, liaise with investors, etc. Hard Skills Requirements: * 8-10 years experience in a high-performance environment, such as management consulting, investment banking, PE, VC-backed startup, law firm, etc. * 2+ years of in house execution experience in trading firms or other crypto firms * Strong problem solving skills, both quantitative and qualitative – we will test * Ability and interest to be hands on and drive execution; This is NOT a strategy-only role, you would need to own execution * Strong communication skills - be able to communicate clearly, concisely and listen well * Very structured, organized, and reliable. Capital.com is looking a Head of Finance Operations, Crypto to build and run the financial operations of the crypto business line across multiple regulated jurisdictions. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for financial controls, accounting, treasury operations, tax, reporting, and regulatory compliance across all crypto entities. The ideal candidate is a strong operator with deep finance expertise who can establish systems and processes from the ground up while managing the day-to-day financial operations of a fast-growing regulated crypto business. Key Responsibilities: • Financial Operations & Accounting • Oversee daily finance operations across crypto entities, including reconciliations, month-end close, inter-company accounting and audit readiness • Define and maintain accounting policies for fiat and digital asset transactions (valuation, movement, impairment, revenue recognition) • Maintain strong internal controls, documentation standards and audit trails • Manage relationships with external auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory accounts Treasury, Liquidity & Cash Management • Run day-to-day treasury operations across fiat and crypto balances • Oversee liquidity management, wallet controls, cash-flow forecasting and counterparty risk monitoring • Manage operational processes for crypto-to-fiat conversion, custody, and treasury workflows • Maintain relationships with banks, PSPs, exchanges and liquidity providers Tax & Regulatory Reporting • Ensure tax compliance across relevant jurisdictions (corporate tax, VAT/GST, payroll, and crypto-related taxable events) • Collaborate with internal tax experts and external advisors to ensure accuracy of filings • Oversee the tracking of taxable events within crypto workflows • Support regulatory reporting obligations (financial returns, prudential reporting, operational metrics) Financial Planning & Analysis • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost modelling and scenario planning • Analyse unit economics, profitability drivers, and operational performance • Provide financial insights to support business planning and senior decision-making Governance, Risk & Controls • Establish finance operational frameworks suited to a regulated crypto environment • Maintain risk registers, internal control frameworks, and board-level financial reporting • Ensure operational resilience across financial systems and data integrity Reporting & Executive Communication • Produce monthly management reports, treasury dashboards, and board-level reporting packs • Communicate financial performance clearly to cross-functional leaders • Ensure visibility of financial health, liquidity positions, and key operational metrics Experience and Qualifications: • 8–12+ years in finance operations, accounting, treasury or financial control roles • Experience in regulated fintech, financial services, brokerage or crypto businesses • Strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge and experience leading audits • Experience managing multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction financial operations • Hands-on operating style with the ability to design and execute processes end-to-end Preferred • Experience with digital asset financial flows or accounting (or willingness to learn quickly) • Experience with banks, PSPs, exchanges or liquidity partners • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CFA What you will get in return: • Competitive Salary: We believe great work deserves great pay!
